    Corned beef hash

Eggs over easy with sliced corned beef and grilled home fries.

With mixed reviews I wasn't sure if I should give this place a try but Dad had been here before and as it's his birthday, off we went. It's a cute little restaurant. Maybe a dozen or more booths and a counter. There were a few table occupied; on a Monday morning it was mostly friends enjoying a chat over breakfast. Seat yourself. Waitress came over shortly with menus and asked if we wanted coffee. I asked if they had pots for hot water for tea. I was told yes and did I want tea, or just the water. I selected a black tea and settled in to check out the menu. When she brought the coffees and my tea, it was a mug of tea, not a pot. Oh well, I can have another cup back at dads. She included a packet of honey along with the little individual plastic cups of cream. Nice touch. We all got an order of eggs with different sides. Mine was sliced corned beef. The eggs were cooked nicely 'over easy'. I substituted an english muffin for toast. It was a bit well done, and the waitress asked if it was 'OK', she didn't just leave it, hoping I didn't say anything. It was still warm and the butter was room temp and melted nicely so I was happy with that. I was surprised the corned beef was not at all salty, which is the nature of corned beef. Actually none of the food seemed to be seasoned with salt or pepper. This is actually great because there are plenty of folks on low sodium diets and others don't like pepper. Makes sense to me, S&P are on the table. We asked for some hot sauce too because my SO puts that on pretty much everything. (Except ice cream. Haven't seen that yet.) Everyone seemed happy with their meals. It's eggs, bacon, home fries, (oh, these are either cooked on the grill or you can have them deep fried to be crispy), hash, toast. Pretty basic breakfast fare. The staff were very pleasant and did a good job. No complaints, except maybe the booths are a bit tight to sit two adults side by side, but I like my husband, so we were fine. If you are looking for bacon and eggs, this place is fine.

A very clean, yet very simple restaurant that has many patrons over 70 years old. Food was canned and bland. (corned beef hash, apple pie filling) Prices decent to inexpensive. Not my 1st or 2nd choice to eat, yet I am fussy,

    My $17 meal

I was charged for everything.... English muffin was additional .... Cheese not included ?? Almost $2 for spinach another $2 for avocado... And that's my $5 bacon.... The person helping me was very nice and the sand which was tasty... but the English muffin was floppy and soggy feeling and I was very unhappy with all of the additional charges ... I mean what kind of breakfast sandwich doesn't come with cheese.

Just ok, pricy, waitress was very good, pancakes were just ok. Plenty of better options in Methuen area. Food came out fast.

The woman who greeted me was so welcoming and I was thrilled to have an old school, fresh, yummy homemade BLT, veggie soup and grape nut pudding with real whip cream.

We have been meaning to try this place for ages and are so glad we finally made it! Our picks for…read morethis first trip were 1) the Blueberry Buckwheat Pancakes with Walnuts and a side of turkey bacon and 2) Jim's Backyard Scramble. We would absolutely get both again. The pancakes were lovely and thick and the option to add walnuts added a great texture. There were also at least ten specials posted (not on menu) and the chorizo eggs benny is going to be my pick next time (hoping it is still there!). I also had a green tea with my meal which was nice. The menu is classic but with a few twists. Definitely count on some nice looking specials not on the menu, too. There is parking right out front but we grabbed a space on the other side of the street. If you do that not that there seem to be both one and two hour spaces so be sure to pick the right one. Service is fast and super friendly and helpful. You can pay with cash or Venmo or Cash App and they have ATM atm inside if you need it. Seating is mostly booths and comfortable and well maintained. You do need to get the code for the bathroom but it is easy and also very well maintained. The whole place has a warm neighborhood feel and you can tell there are a lot of regulars who keep coming back.

Unfortunately, this wasn't the right place for me…read more I'm very particular about cleanliness, especially when it comes to restaurants. The plastic cups our drinks were served in looked heavily scratched, cloudy, and worn to the point that they appeared dirty. Whether they were clean or not, the appearance alone completely turned me off. I ended up paying for our drinks but decided not to order any food because I no longer felt comfortable eating there. I know everyone has different standards, but first impressions matter, and this experience made it difficult for me to want to come back.

When we were in the process of losing our soul mate of a dog to lung cancer they would go above and beyond for our random orders and would always try to bring a smile to our face when we would pick it up. She wouldn't eat so we would call & ask for plain unseasoned grilled chicken or just bacon or whatever it was they always helped us out. Her last meal was bacon on the beach (her favorite place). Thank you for the amazing service.

Ya know, I once navigated to this place on accident before? Yeah. Still not sure what my GPS was…read moredoing that day. Because I normally go to the one in Salem. But on this day, I thought to myself, "Self, I really hate making that busy-as-hell left turn on South Broadway in Salem. What if we took a journey to the Andover location instead?" And so it was. I enter this cozy little restaurant carefully tucked against a slightly submerged parking garage. Although, I probably shouldn't say "little" because the interior was noticeably larger than its Salem counterpart. It's also noisy AF in there when it gets busier than a New York subway. So naturally, I ordered my usual to-go (a Country Classic with an extra egg and hashbrowns for those who don't know). Only it wasn't *quite* ready on time. Which, to be fair, is kind of a minor point. Thing is, they have to shout your name whenever your order is finally ready. This in and of itself can prove to be quite the challenge when bellowing atop the already roaring crowd of customers impeding the otherwise accessible pickup shelves. I'll do my best to describe the interior since I wasn't really able to take pictures. But try to imagine an L-shaped dining area with the longest part hosting a row of countertop seats facing the windows. Beyond that sits a rather modest dining area with a few more tables. Next to that sits the gender neutral restrooms. It's strange and cramp, particularly when the place is packed tighter than a sardine can. Sufficed to say, I'm not much a fan of the interior design here. Being the partial recluse that I am, I offer the following best practice for a place so riotous: mobile order that shiz, cuh! Seriously. I had to put in my noise cancelling earbuds to appease my misophonia. The good news is....the food is still awesome. The eggs? Creamier than crème fraîche. Taters? Eh, I don't why...but these seemed way more seasoned the very first time I tried them. Fortunately, they actually pair rather well with their refined version of ketchup. The bacon? Well...let's just say I wish it were served well done. Not sure if I'm able to request that. But I'll scope out my options next time and get back to you all. That's it though. Nice place, WAY easier to get to than its Salem counterpart, but a bit too cramp and noisy for my taste which means....I'll likely ever dine in here. It's all good though, because I'm still giving Crack'd Kitchen & Coffee in Andover 4 Country Classics with all the fixins out of 5.
