Got an "instant offer" on an accord online for a little over $25,000, and suddenly when I get to the dealership it's been sold and the only other one they have isn't the color I'm looking for, and it's for $6,700 worth of useless add ons put on by the dealership so THEY can track the cars on their lot they try to force onto your cost. I don't need GPS, I have insurance. If it gets stolen I don't need to know where it is. It's stolen. That's where it is. They kept saying that they were going to work on the price on them but I'm pretty positive they only took a few hundred off and cost of the add ons. Always bring your second key if you have it and request it back after your car is inspected for trade in. It's their way of holding you hostage. I requested my key several times and only got it back when I stood up and demanded it before I left. Even then it took 10 minutes to find who had it. And if they run your credit and you don't buy from them? GET YOUR CREDIT REPORT. They have to give it to you. They almost "forgot" to give it to me. I wouldn't shop here again to be honest. Not so help full Honda dealer. Or 5 calls into dealer with no response. I had a notice for my seatbelts for my 2018 CRV that I found via my Honda app. I took it into Metro Honda on Monday 4/24/23 and supposedly it was taken care of. I was told that my app would be updated 24 hours after the app would update that night. Two days later still not updated. I made 3 calls back to the service department and was told they were busy and would call me back. Never heard back from anyone, so called and left a message to the service manager. Still no word back. I called the general manager and was told he was not in so they sent me to his secretary's VM. Not a word. I just want to know that the work was done. So much for being help full. Took my car in for service, just for an oil change and tire rotation. They took 5 hours to complete it and then the service advisor didn't acknowledge what was performed on my car. So I had to look at the paperwork to see what was done. Definitely lost a customer for life. Never taking my car there or having family and friends go there. Only have your car serviced here if you feel like getting screwed. I brought my car in because I was feeling shaking/vibration in the front end (steering wheel, brakes) when braking, going downhill at a relatively decent speed. Basically needed a routine front brake job. My normal mechanic couldn't get me in right away so I took a chance and brought my car to this dealership. They initially told me it'd be a 45 minute to 1 hour wait for someone to look at my car. While I waited a car salesman came up and asked me if my car was in for service and asked what I was driving. I told him it was an '08 Civic, then he says, "And it has 139,000 miles on it, huh?" So he obviously already knew which car was mine AND how many miles were on it. After inhaling loudly through his mouth and grimacing slightly, he warned me that that's A LOT of miles to have on a car. I told him for a Honda, it's barely broken in. I'm not getting rid of my car. I'm sentimental about it and I'm going to try to get a million miles on it. He left me alone pretty quickly after that. Fine, but pretending to not know what I'm driving is annoying. Don't play those games, your customers aren't stupid. If they come here more than once they might be... Anyway, TWO HOURS later, they called me up and told me I needed new rotors, new brake pads, new drums, new shoes, and a brake fluid change for a total of just under $1200. Oh, and they didn't have drums for my Civic in stock, but they could rush order the part and have it here by the next day. A giant Honda dealership and no drums for the most common car in existence...how is that even possible? So I called my regular mechanic again and he just happened to have an opening. Took my car over there, needed a routine front brake job, needed pads and drums (which of course he had in stock). DID NOT NEED new shoes, new rotors or a brake fluid change. Ended up paying under $450 for all the work. I was also traveling that day and it was necessary that I be on the road that same day. I was in and out in under two hours. Maybe I look like an ignorant woman because God forbid a woman should know anything about cars. However, I'm not ignorant and certainly don't like getting screwed by a dealership that tries to take advantage of their customers. Realistically, I'll never go to any Honda dealership again because my experience at this one was so horrible. Long story short, do yourself a favor: Get online, read some reviews, find a trustworthy mechanic and leave the dealerships alone. Their facilities are big and beautiful for a reason. Oh and it's May 2021, not offering coffee "because of COVID" is total BS. Especially if a 45 minute wait is going to turn into a 2-hour wait. read more

MAKE sure you check your car thoroughly for any scratches INSIDE and OUTSIDE before you DROP off your car and PICK up your car Within three week period I had to take my car back and fourth six times On 2/17/17 took my car in for oil change and they noticed my gauge being defective since my number 5 didn't lit up On 2/24/17 dropped off my car to get my defective gauge replaced and when I got my car back there was damage to my dash on the passenger side and they tried opening the dash through where the AC vents are and left multiple scratches trying to ply open the dash area and forgot to put the pastic piece under the steering wheel. When I noticed these issues went back to the dealer on Saturday 2/25/17 and told my service advisor Tommy. He told me that since they were busy that I had to bring it back on Monday instead? Seriously? But I didnt want to make a big deal out of it I agreed to bring it back on Monday On 2/27/17 at 7:20 AM I dropped off my car for them to put the plastic piece under the wheel to be put back and have the detail department look at the dash issue on the passenger side. Picked up my car at 5:50 PM and noticed a huge deep scratch on my hood. Notified my person right away but he said he'll look at it when I bring the car back on Wednesday since they had to call upholstery specialist. On 3/1/17 had to take my car back for my passenger side dash damage and for manager to inspect my hood damage. Tommy was suppose to call me back once manager sees the damage on "how" they'll handle the issue since he felt like the damage occured there... Never got a call from Tommy till I left him a message at 3:15 PM. When he called me back he said manager took a picture of my damage and they needed couple more days for them to figure out if they'll fix it or not... I was already fuming because I felt like they were trying to not fix it... When I went to pick up my car that afternoon Tommy actually said "I still don't think scratch happened here but we are going to fix it for you but can't provide you with a loaner vehicle and its going to take 2-4 days to get it fixed" He was trying to make it sound like they were doing me a favor by deciding to fix it... How could they say that my hood scratch didn't occurred there?? My car was there ALMOST ALL DAY from 7:20 AM to 5:50 PM. I even told them to look at the video because I know that scratch wasnt there. Also when you pull into service area they have a camera directly pointing at cars. Instead Tommy kept on telling me "he didn't know how that scratch got there" like I would know? I got fed up with dealing with rude and helpless advisor who wasn't helping the situation... I ended up calling the service manager Tony and he explained how I wasnt happy that I am not being given a loaner vehicle. But not sure if it was because I called or what but Tony said he doesn't see why they wouldn't offer a vehicle for me. Which calmed me down a bit. I was seriously going to file a complaint to BBB, DMV, BAR, and contact Attorney General but since they are fixing the issue I am not going to proceed with complaints.. Tommy still insisted up until I dropped off my car on 3/6/17 saying he still doesn't think it happened there.. Like come on.. The loaner vehicle they gave me had NO GAS and inside of the car was filthy dirty... barely enough for me to get to a gas station nearby... Like they couldn't put half tank of gas at least? I know they didn't want to fix my car but seriously? PLEASE DO A WALK THROUGH INSPECTION OF YOUR CAR BECAUSE THEY DON'T TO DO MUTI POINT INSPECTION TO MARK THE CONDITION OF YOUR CAR BEFORE AND AFTER SERVICE btw Patrick is amazing!!!! I communicated with Jeff DeLios as to when the best time would be. Jeff (JD) was set on getting my car back in to service. I arrived with my car on June 1. I met with the used car sales manager, Alex Ash. Alex paid great attention to my situation and got my car in right away. Not only did they do a wonderful detailing ( my car looked brand new), they flushed out the AC and had my car ready out the door in 3 hours. That was excellent time considering how busy they were. My experience started off great, with amazing customer service from Michelle and Estela. It took the service team less than an hour to service my car for a recall. The reason I am giving them one star is because when I got my car back, my charger was taken out and "misplaced." Their reasoning is that they needed to unplug and use the same usb-adapter to check the computer of my car however, there is no reason for taking the cable out of my car and placing it in a separate room. Michelle was quick to help me look for it, and amazingly the service technician found it after going into a separate back room, out of her sight. It would have been a 5-star review for Metro Honda, had it not been for the obvious theft of my property from my car. I find it odd that my android cable was wrapped up and set in my cup holder, but my apple charger was taken out of my car and most likely stolen. Overall, MIchelle and Estela are amazing workers and I value their help, the fault falls on the service technician. Called and spoke to Ronni about the price of a used '21 Nissan with 25K mi. Metro Honda's website was also offering a $500 discount coupon on used cars. Ronnie told me on the phone, "Your price is $13,376.00. Just make sure to show us the coupon". Of course, I expected there would be tax, licensing and other similar costs added as their website indicated. A few hours later I arrived and was greeted by Ryan. I told him that me and my family had just driven 40 minutes, and we were looking forward to seeing the car. Ronni was nowhere to be found, but Ryan stepped up. After a test drive, we noticed a short in the radio knob for which he apologized. I figured the radio might be a negotiation talking point, but nope. The shenanigans then started when I was told that there would be an additional $2,500 cost for an aftermarket alarm system ($1,500) and clear-coat paint protection ($1,000) that had been installed. Come on guys, a 2021 Nissan Versa already comes equipped with a remote anti-theft alarm system as part of its safety and security features. Ryan got his manager, Levalin (sp?). My favorite part came next when Levalin told us that because of the dealership add-ons, my coupon was invalid since there were other options included. WTF? So, my price was not $13,376 as Ronni had stated to me on the phone, it was now $16,400. The gimmicks were too much, so we walked out. This dealership needs to be more transparent with its customers. My wife and I have purchased and had several Honda vehicles serviced at Metro Honda for almost 12 years. For most of that time, we were pleased with the courtesy and professionalism of the dealership staff. However, this weekend we were very disappointed with the tactics the sales management used to get us into the dealership and force us to pay an extra cost for something that was already installed on the car. We had been looking for a certified pre-owned vehicle for a couple weeks and then we saw the dealership lower the price on a 2020 Accord EX-L by about $4,000. Since we are AAA members, we secured a quote to purchase the vehicle through the AAA used car buying service for an extra $300 off the lowest advertised price. However, when we went to buy the car for the quoted price, the Sales Associate, Walter, and the Asst. Sales Manager, Yanny, told us they could not sell us the car for "that price," because they had to keep the car at a fair market value compared to other dealerships in the area (e.g., STG Auto Group). They said the only way they could sell the car to us for the AAA price was if we paid for at least one of the dealer-installed add-ons like 3M paint protection, an aftermarket alarm, and/or GPS monitoring. Out of frustration, we reluctantly agreed to the pay the extra cost of $995 to buy the car with paint protection skins only to learn that the previous owner already had them installed. Some could call this a "bait and switch" or "false advertising" scenario, and others could say we were suckers for falling for this ploy. In either case, Metro Honda was unethical or unscrupulous in their dealings with us this weekend, and I can no longer recommend this dealership to friends, family, and others looking to purchase a Honda vehicle or have it serviced. I intend to report this incident to AAA so that other buyers are not lured into the same trap but, for now I recommend either Norm Reeves or Goudy Honda dealerships for your sales and service needs. read more

Shop is good for your basic Preventable Maintenance however when I took my car in for a diagnostic since it is making weird noises the technicians refused to accept that the car was making noises even though anyone who's gotten into my car can clearly hear the noise and the service rep as well heard the noise. Emily, who was lovely, informed me that although they didn't have that specific style and year in a used model, they actually had the same car but new for a little more. I was excited and I told her that regardless of how much I might love the car, I would not be purchasing it tonight because I always need to think about any car purchase overnight. She said no problem and that she would pair me with a sales associate who would understand that if I ended up being interested, I would return the next day because that was my plan. Clearly I am a serious buyer, I spent an hour and a half driving from LA in rush hour to test drive the car. I met Emily when I arrived and she introduced me to Robert, and who seemed friendly at first. I test drove the car with him and really liked it. We discussed financing options. I asked him about wiggle room with the price and that's where things started to get ugly. As soon as I brought that up, his entire demeanor changed and suddenly he became aggressive and rude. I was uncomfortable at first, but then I pushed back and mentioned the fact that I told Emily even if I loved the car, I would need the night to think over the purchase, but would return in the morning if the price was right. He asked me, "what does this price need to be to sell you this car tonight?" and I told him my price because truthfully I did love the car and was considering pulling the trigger if we could work together. He went to the sales manager or store manager, I'm not sure, and he was pleasant enough when he came over. He told me he could not make that price happen. He could give me a discount, but my price was too low. Then started thinking of what used cars he had that were around that price point, but it turned out he didn't have the model I wanted used. In my head I thought, I understand about not being able to go as low as I wanted, they have to make a profit. But it actually really bothered me that he didn't even try to entertain some sort of counteroffer so I left. While I was driving home, I kept thinking about the car. I called back Metro and asked for Robert. The experience beforehand rubbed me the wrong way, but he was the one who was helping me after all and should get the commission. He got on the phone and I said, "I know you couldn't take my offer, but your manager said he could give some sort of discount, so I was curious to know what his best price would be." Silence. I said "can you ask him or do I need to ask him?" to which he replied "Emily can handle it and email you." And I said, "oh, I thought you were helping me since Emily said she doesn't do sales" and he replied "she handles all the internet and phone sales." Silence. So I said, "ok do I need to ask her to send it to me or can you ask her?" And he said "well Emily is gone for the day." Silence. I was so fed up I said "ok I'll just figure it out myself" and hung up. Metro Honda - Car Dealers Near Me - Montclair, California

I had been emailing back and forth with a couple of people because I needed a certain document in order to purchase my vehicle. I was then told that I would be able to come in and pick that document up, so I set an appointment. I arrived at the dealership and automatically was approached by one of the managers (Gill, Gel, Gale?) and my appointment began. I immediately told him I was just stopping by to pick up the document I needed but he basically ignored what I said and began trying to sell me on financing my purchase through them. I said that he could show me the rates just to see if they were better than the deal I already had. Then another man (possibly another manager) came up to me and said he needed to do an appraisal of my car??? This honestly made me uncomfortable because all I came in for was the document, so I was really confused why they were now doing all of these extra things. So now this man starts appraising my car and I go back inside to wait. As I'm waiting, a THIRD man comes over and starts having me apply for financing through them so I can see what rate I could get and compare it to the deal I already have. I completed this step then the first man (manager) comes back over and shows me the breakdown of financing with them. This deal was much, much worse than the one I already have so I said no. Also, for some reason he had added nearly $6,000 of add-ons/warranty that I didn't ask for and that aren't necessary for me to have in my car at this point. After I told him that I didn't want to move forward with them he became very pushy and would not take no for an answer. At one point I even told him how uncomfortable he was making me and that he was being way too pushy to the point of being rude. After this happened I asked if I could just get the document I originally came in for and was told that they couldn't even give me the document??? So basically, I was lied to and lured into coming into the dealership just so they could try to bully me into signing a deal with them. I left after they told me I couldn't get this document from them, only to realize the man who appraised my car did not return my registration to me. So then I had to return to the dealership and the same pushy manager tried, yet again, to get me to sign a deal with them. Obviously their tactics didn't work on me because I got my registration back and left. This was absolutely one of the worst experiences I've had in any business that I've been to before. Whoever that manager is should NOT be allowed to talk to young women. And the woman who emailed me and said I could come in and get the document I asked for should feel ashamed of herself for being so deceitful. Also, why is it necessary to have THREE different employees basically tag teaming me and all pressuring me to do something I don't want to do?? I could say more, but I've basically written a short story at this point and this dealership has already wasted nearly two hours of my time. I would recommend that people avoid this dealership completely if at all possible. read more
