    Inconsistent messaging about my car being ready. It took him another 1.5 hours to say it wasn't even ready.

    I do not recommend coming here if your service consultant is Kareem Sourial. He lacks training and knowledge on how to handle notifications or have any idea of how long it takes for services. Kareem says that only certain services should be done on the weekdays. He clearly doesn't understand that people have kids and a full time job. I had a scheduled appointment and he tried to tell my husband that the parts to repair weren't at the shop (which they were because the service tech called me 2x prior to scheduling the appointment that they were in). Then he told my husband car would be ready at 1:30pm but texted me at 12:37pm that the car was ready for pickup. He later texts at 2pm when I'm 5min away to pickup my car that it would not be ready until 3:30pm now. He tried to blame an automatic system for notifying me when my car wasn't ready when it was in fact him who sent the message. He later proceeded to blame the consultant I was originally signed up with, who isn't even working today. He said that certain repairs like faulty seatbelt sensors shouldn't be scheduled on a Saturday. This guy needs more training if he has a title of "consultant".

    My sister did a bunch of research for her 2026 Honda CRV so she came in knowing what she wanted and actually only wanted to test drive today. She was initially guided by a sales associate who I forgot his name but he ended up leaving her to look on her own. Ivan who approached me when I arrived showed me around since I am shopping for a Type R. Ivan then walked me around to find my sister and ended up helping us test drive and eventually closing on my sister's car. In and out in 2 hours since they got us the number we wanted even though we were looking to buy elsewhere later this weekend. I really appreciate how nice, respectful, and helpful Ivan was and how many times he walked back and forth up the stairs to get us keys and paperwork. I hope to return for a Type R soon if the price is right.

    Metro Honda Addons

    WARNING - Whatever price you see advertised on their website, add $5,480 to it and that is where they will start the price negotiation. They say these are all optional add-ons but they refuse to deactivate or take them off. It seems they will negotiate down about $2,000 and take off what they can (their words) but I did not want any of it. The sales guys said they add these on to bring up the Blue Book value which is complete BS - I looked up the KBB. These are the addons - FDS Alarm - $1495 XPEL Paint Protection, Interior Door Cups and Edge Guards - $995 Pursuit SVR GPS - $1495 MEP Paint & Frabric Protection - $1495 I guess this explains why they have such a large inventory - no one is buying cars here because they are all overpriced. Do yourself a favor and drive down the street to Penske Honda. Their prices are the same as what is advertised. They do have some addons but they are completely optional. And if you are Costco Member they will give you $600 off any Used Car Sticker Price.

    My daughter recently purchased her first car on her own, and I came with her to support her and ask questions during the process. When we first arrived at Metro Honda, we initially interacted with Angel. To be completely honest, the first interaction was not very welcoming. He came across as somewhat dismissive and unwilling to engage when we had questions. For a first-time buyer, that kind of interaction can easily discourage someone, and it honestly felt like the type of experience that could cause a customer to walk out and take their business elsewhere. Fortunately, the experience took a completely different turn once we moved forward in the dealership. We met Lavelle, the assistant manager, who was extremely professional, respectful, and helpful. He took the time to make sure we were taken care of and introduced us to Marcus, who ended up working directly with my daughter. Marcus did a great job keeping us informed throughout the process while we waited and made sure my daughter felt comfortable every step of the way. He also took the time to go on the test drive with her and answer all of her questions. When it came time to finalize everything, we met with Armando in finance. He was very professional, patient, and not pushy at all. He allowed my daughter and I the time to carefully read through the contract and answered our questions without rushing us. Buying a first car can be overwhelming, but Lavelle, Marcus, and Armando helped turn the experience into a positive one for my daughter. Their professionalism and patience are ultimately what kept us there and helped make her first car-buy a great experience. Thank you for helping make such an important milestone a positive one for her.

I was there to see a high mileage car, this was well over 10% of the value of the vehicle, so the advertised price was meaningless. They offered to remove some of it (but still weren't willing to sell the car for the advertised price), also weren't willing to allow for a pre-purchase inspection. I wasn't enamored enough with the car to make those concessions. Edit to add: I was specifically told that the added items were mandatory and they would not take the entire price off. The "dealing" started at $1600 over the advertised price (on a $13000 car) and they brought it down to about $500 over the advertised price, while telling me that I was actually getting a deal because the addon package price was going up to over $2000. This car had 107K miles on it, I was not looking to buy a paint protection package. I was told they price the vehicles low to "be at the top of the search" and then add the added items to bring the price up to what they are willing to sell the car for. This is explicit false advertising. This wasn't a miscommunication, the deal sheet was quite clear and I was told they would not go any lower. If they were willing to sell the car for the advertised price I would have written a check on the spot. They also declined to allow me to leave a deposit so I could have a mobile mechanic come for a PPI, and while they offered to sell me a 3 day option to return for $250 they also said if I did need to return it there would be a restocking fee of "at least $500." I kind of laughed at the idea that if a mechanic found a major issue their inspection missed they'd charge us more money.

In other words I truly wanted this review to be full of truth of experience and worth. Couple of things I was worried about. Buying a Car off Holt. Lets be honest there are not a lot of things that I have known that are good to buy off Holt other than street tacos. Not exactly the place I would think I would have an amazing customer service experience with great people and great product. Steve, and the Team here is what I would call Magnificent. I was not exactly what you would call an easy sale. I was also a bit strangely organized financially because of my type of business so I proved to be a bit of a challenge for them. Calm and collected they were never worried. Only me. I left this place driving an excellent car with great milage and what I would call no buyer remorse. Mostly because of the experience which I thought would or could get salted over time but it has not. There were a few issues with my purchase that involved the navigation and control module. Steve assured me he would help me take care of it and another minor issue was that the lights are so fogged up they hardly look they are on. Once I get to a place where I can drop this car off I will have it handled but either way I can say this. There is reason why this organization is 5 Stars. They do everything right. They have the cars you are looking for and more importantly the attitude needed to make a good experience. In sales its about the CAN DO attitude. I was frustrated and felt a bit hopeless and they made me feel like I mattered. Steve Knows Sales and the Finance Guy not only knew finances but also computers. It feels good to be treated with respect. This is going to be the place my entire family and friends get their cars from. Here are the reasons. The 2 Lacosta brothers running this business are the most honest and trustworthy salesmen you can find in the area. They specialize in affordable used cars! Come here to buy, sell or trade! My family has been coming here since our struggling origins. When I say struggles, I mean, we were a ONE CAR household. My dad would drop my mom off at work in the mornings and either he or my aunt would pick my mom up from work. We had a humble living and even with one car, we couldn't afford anything too new. The La Costa brothers were there to provide their automotive knowledge and extremely reliable recommendations. The cars we purchased from them throughout the years had no headaches. When it was time to afford to budget a second car into our household, it was legendary. We felt extremely blessed and fulfilled to have what others would imagine to be basic necessities. La Costa Auto Sales was a major factor in making that transition possible for their reasonable rates and reliability. I will always always feel grateful that they were able to be there for us during tough times. Pass forward to the present, we are blessed to afford to buy newer cars from the Honda dealership, but that leaves us with an "old" car on hand. Honda offered quite an insulting value, and my dad immediately said No thank you! We knew selling it to La Costa Auto Sales would be an honest amount, whatever the offer would be. We saw Steve, and he did a thorough inspection and pulled up the car's official reports, and gave us his professional opinion. We knew it wouldn't be much, but we definitely trusted and appreciated any "value". That car has been good to our family for two decades, and it was really hard to let go. We trust that it will be good to its' new owner, and still keep the car in our prayers. As a family who has bought, traded and sold cars with La Costa Auto Sales for nearly three decades, I can in all honestly give them the ultimate seal of approval. The interaction with them even before walking in was super respectful and they were very patient because I couldn't sell right away. But even though they weren't there when I walked in, their colleague Danny helped me out with the deal and he was as great as Mohammed and Hazem. They do real inspections of the car. And when they come back, they show you pictures of the problem. And they tell you an offer. I asked if they can do more and they did budge a bit more but couldn't get close to the original $21k offer due to two issues I wasn't aware of (so that's very respectable). they also didn't significantly drop their offer NOR did they make it sound like you had a trashy car , just because of the two issues (one with the tire and leaking axel ). The process is easy. 45 min inspection. Paperwork took another 30 mins, negotiating can increase your time there. You sign all the documents to allow them to do the dmv paperwork. And don't worry if you have a lien on your car, they do the math and cut you the check based on what you owe and they handle it with your lender. They are very friendly and super nice. The facility is super clean and welcoming. They had the TVs set to the World Cup matches.

    I want to preface this by saying the guy who helped us out was nice but bad taste in our mouth…read moreafter they have the car listed aggressively low online but had hidden & huge "dealer added fees." Now I know most dealerships will have those, and normally, I call ahead and ask if they have any and if those fees are negotiable or mandatory. Most of the time dealerships will skirt around it and say we can always work something out but I usually don't go to that dealer unless they don't have ANY fees or say it's totally optional. So again, this was on me for not calling ahead. But we packed up our 8 week old. Drove 1.5 hours away ready to purchase and after the test drive we were showed these fees. And after several back and forth, there was no movement. We offered to pay the sticker price (+ tax, license & fees) AND we were trading in an old vehicle (not work much, but running). I mean $5,480 of dealer added fees is ridiculous. So my warning is to be aware of these fees, ask ahead of time before you waste your time. Everything happens for a reason though because we ended up finding a 2022 KIA Sorrento SX Prestige S Line with about 58,000 miles on it for LOWER. I mean it's the highest possible trim level for that model that year and it's a sweet car. Brown interior, heated leather seats, moonroof, anything you need! And it was about $25,000 list price. I called ahead, got an offer in writing (including the trade in value of my husband's car) and no dealer added fees. We came with a check in hand, drove the car and was out of there with the new! WAY better experience @ Wondries Toyota in Alhambra.
