I had a great experience working with Seth and his company MCP. We have lived in our home for a couple of years and recently just purchased it and we have decided to hold off on remodeling until late next year, this includes getting new carpets. We have two Maine Coon cats who run the place, so it is very important to us that whatever chemical is used on the rugs doesn't bother them. Seth came out and was really great in answering all of my concerns and addressing my special needs. The crew showed up on time and was very professional. They also were very careful with moving my furniture and electronics. One of the issues that I had with my carpets, prior to their visit was that I felt they were really dirty around the edges where the carpet meets the wall, MCP was able to get rid of those dark stains without any problems. Also we had a few mystery stains throughout the house and in the laundry room that were from the previous owners, Seth's guys got rid of those completely. We are very pleased with the work that MCP has done, and now we feel very comfortable in waiting one or two more years before we change the carpet out completely. I had MCP scheduled to clean my shades this morning, and admittedly, my dog greeted the gentleman with her loud bark. I advised him to just give her a few pets and then she would stop barking. He wouldn't pet her, but came inside to look at the blinds. And then my dog sensed something was wrong and continued to bark. Over the course of him reviewing my kitchen blinds, this gentleman bent his leg and eventually side kicked my dog. It appeared to be a reaction but still absolutely unacceptable. As the homeowner, I can secure my pet, but as the worker it needs to be understood that this is my home & my pet is part of the home. Kicking an animal is absolutely unacceptable under any and all circumstances. I will not be working with this company. He was asked to leave. The owner/rep then called me and said that he wouldn't be able to work with me if I couldn't secure my pet. He also didn't believe my testament of his employees actions. He then hung up on me. MCP was recommended to us by a close family member who said she uses them all the time and they do a great job, so we had them come out to clean 2 wool area rugs. When they arrived I was a little surprised by the beat-up van with no logo, but whatever. Before they began, I asked them what type of solution they would be using to clean my rugs and was old they use soap (which I'm told should NOT be used on wool!) When I said no way, you can't use soap, the guy suggested that they just use water instead. Water? How are my rugs going to get clean with just water? So I called Seth and he assured me that the solution they use is almost 98% water and a small amount of detergent that is safe for wool. So I gave the guys the go ahead. Next, they proceeded to drag the rugs outside (not rolled up) and put them on the grass to clean them. Huh? Ok so if that wasn't bad enough, they took one of the wet rugs and draped it over the dirty patio furniture in the back yard to dry. The charge was $175!!! And btw- gave me NO invoice and NO receipt! Then they left. When I went back into the bedroom I noticed my upholstered bed frame was dirty from when they moved it to take the rug out! Great. When my boyfriend got home later that evening from work, he was not happy at all to be moving a heavy rug back into the bedroom. Wasn't that supposed to be their job? The reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 was because Seth was very apologetic and assured me that this is NOT how they work and to redeem himself, had the guys come out and put the rug back and clean the bed. I needed some special cloth shades cleaned (Hunter Douglas' Silhouette and Nantucket rolling shades), and Metropolitan Cleaning Pros was recommended to me by Hunter Douglas. Metropolitan came out today and cleaned the shades, and they did an AMAZING job! Seth at the company was really prompt, courteous and helpful when I contacted him a week ago. He set the pricing with me quickly, and he contacted me the day before to confirm the appointment and even called twice during the appointment to make sure all was going well. It was! Basir (the gentleman who came out to do the cleaning) was on time, efficient and did an excellent job. These shades require special tools and liquids to clean them completely and correctly. Basir was really experienced in what to do, and he did a wonderful job. The shades throughout my house look new!! The whole job was done in 2 hours, and the shades are unbelievably clean. I was referred to MCP by Duxiana (the makers of the oh-so-pricey-but worth-it Dux Bed) to clean the "pillow top". They came to the house, did a great job and also cleaned a couple of chairs. Two men came to clean 16 Hunter Douglas Silhouettes The shades were cleaned but the men diid not wear coverings on their boots. As a result, water spots and muddy boot prints were left all over the dark brown, hardwood floors. I had to hire a person to come to the house to mop all the floors to eliminate the muddy foot prints. I would not recommend this company due to the added expense of clean-up. read more

Didn't move furniture as promised, only cleaned around furniture. 1980's van with rusted doors, they had to jump start the cleaning machine. The guy who gave me the estimate told me to replace my carpet, made excuses why they can't get out all stains. Told me my carpet was sun stained, direct sun never hits my carpet. Several stains not removed, they told me they would clean carpet twice if necessary, they didn't. I chose them for there iicrc certification. This certification doesn't mean anything.
