Call this place to request an inspection of an HVAC unit that wasn't functioning. I specifically asked for a call back from a technician prior to the inspection and no one called. I also specifically told the scheduler that the HVAC system is a hydronic system and not a standard system. A week later, the technician went out and told me they don't service hydronic systems. Still attempted to charge me a service fee for coming out. Well, I told them in advance what kind of system it is and they completely disregarded. What a giant waste of time! read more

The tech, Hayden, looked at our unit and explained everything step-by-step as to what needed to be done. He was professional, knowledgeable, and polite. He gave me an estimate and I agreed to have him do the work. He needed a few signatures and explained exactly what I would be signing. He was considerate and respectful of our home and made sure to put booties over his shoes before he entered our home. Repairman Hayden did a complete inspection and cleaning of my unit which is a regular scheduled warranty service. A day later, the unit stopped working. Hayden responded again and found the problem. Chris came out two days ago to perform a semi-annual maintenance check. At that point he found that our aging condenser probably wouldn't make it through the summer. He also recommended more insulation in the attic. So...Max and Johnny spent 9 hours at our house today blowing in more insulation in our two story house and replacing an old AC condenser. I didn't have a good experience with your tech, felt like everything was done and broken, said the fan on the a/c unit was all corroded/ rusted. Checked it myself later and didn't see any concerning rust. He also stated that the fan and compressor was bad, tested it myself and they are still working, tested the capacitor and is working, the only thing bad was the contactor. That's why was making that electric noise when the a/c was running but not getting cold air. I would had appreciated if your tech offered me a fix instead of pushing for a new $15000 unit , even after I said I don't have good credit for loan , and trying harder to get loans anyways even if I had to go with higher loan. I chose your company because the last service you guys had done was great back in 2022 but this time I felt that I was getting scammed. I repaired the unit myself, got a new contactor , the same type for $30 plus tax . The a/c is working now. read more

We just had our Fall/Winter checkup with Metz, who installed our HVAC system, in August 2019. We have done our semi-annual checkups, since we have had the System. We are very happy with Metz and there organization and were extremely happy to have Cris Dulay, who did our Spring/Summer 2025 checkup, back to do our checkup today. I can't say enough about Cris. Cris is an exceptional technician, who is very professional, extremely knowledgeable, honest, respectful, personable, thorough, a great listener and takes the time to explain the process he will follow with the checkup. During our checkup Cris identified an issue with the furnace inducer, which is supposed to circulate the heat evenly through the system. After Cris showed us and explained how the inducer should work and why our inducer wasn't doing the job it should be doing, we made the decision, to increase the longevity of the system, to have the part replaced. The HVAC unit was expensive and like a house, car, roof, plumbing, etc., preventive maintenance is important to get the maximum longevity from your investment. Bottom line Cris showed his care for us, as the Metz customer and for the maximum longevity of our HVAC unit. I'm 76 years old and over the years, I have experienced exceptional Customer Service and the Customer Service and care that Cris and Metz provide are at the top of my list. I had Metz come out and evaluate our Maytag air system. It is only about 7 years old but we've been having a lot of issues over that last 2 years. Hayden gave me an honest assessment and he made some minor adjustments that will hopefully improve our cooling. Unfortunately, it may be a small patch to an already bad system that was sold to us by another company. Wish I never went with them. They cleaned my air ducts a few years ago and did an absolutely terrible job. I opened the grate after they left and there was literal dirt still on the landing. A simple wipe down removed it. Then they dragged their dirty vacuum from room to room, staining my carpets. I asked to speak to a manager and they said I had to pay first and they'd have someone call me back. Never heard from them. Now, years later, they won't stop harassing me with text messages, phone calls, and letters in the mail asking if I want them to do more work. Business that bad for you guys? I wanted to write an update for my original review. My AC wasn't cooling down the house and I remembered that I had used Metz Air 4 years ago. I called them up, they sent out Nathan, and he diagnosed the problem very quickly. Nathan then came out to do the job and spent all day getting the issue fixed. He also realized that the capacitor had to be changed and did so for me for free! I asked if I could tip him but he very graciously declined. Hayden Metz of Metz Air Control did the annual inspection of my HVAC system on October 30. I knew Hayden was my technician because I got a text telling me he was on his way, and including his photo. Hayden did a very thorough job of examining every component of the heating system. When he completed the inspection, he showed me photographs of all components and explained the purpose of each. It was easy to follow and clearly showed one worn part that he recommended be replaced. He made another suggestion and was careful to mention that this was optional. I'm leaving the review because of how professional the consultation was and the experience of just getting a price My wife called and set up an appointment, they showed up between the times they said they'd be here, communicated when they were in route with exact ETA Hayden showed up, and listen to everything we were looking for and took in all of the information. Then he went through and described exactly how they would do each thing. We wanted to move the condenser around the side of the house, I wanted to put the furnace up into the attic (others said no) I also described a few details that were important Not only did Hayden address all of the things that were important to me. He also described how they do what they do and why they do it. He spent a lot of time with us much more than any other company. Some companies were only here 10 or 15 minutes. This place sent out a technician to our home here in Ontario, Alejandro. He examined our AC unit and concluded that the coil cannot be replaced as it's made by a company that no longer exists. The company is AllStyle. I did a search for the company and sure enough, it exists and they still make coils. He also said that the entire AC unit will need to be replaced and there's no way around it. He gave us some song and dance about being religious and that he would be completely honest with us and give us a great deal. He quoted us roughly $16,000 to replace the entire unit. That's rediculous! So we decided to go to Cobalt Home Services and David was able to replace our damaged AllStyle coil for much much less. WARNING: Please be careful of these HVAC companies as they will try to get as much money as they can from consumers. Please do your research before you commit to these people. They will lie and say anthing to get your business. This company is the 4th HVAC company we went to until we found Cobalt. read more
