as noted in my previous review we did a complete system replacement w Metz last year. The process was great. We had issues with regulating the temp between 1st and 2nd floor. We called and called and were told it's a simple fix. We set a couple of appointments that were not kept by Metz. Finally someone came out. Super nice, helpful and could feel the difference in temp between upstairs and downstairs. He told us they needed to make some adjustments to the system and it wouldn't be too difficult. When I asked why wasn't this done when originally installed and he said I cant answer that I don't know who did your work or what they decided to do. I said well the house was a two story then as well. He replied we'll take care of you and make it right. Well the next day we received an estimate. To make it right it would cost 3/4 more of what I originally paid to have the system installed. My wife called and was treated very rudely and told if she wants to call and get estimates from another company go ahead. This way you'd see what it really costs. Do not work with this company unless you know how to service the system yourself. Our experience after the original install has been horrible. No call backs, no shows on appointments. rude people on the phone and money grabs to fix what they should have done originally on the install. Ever since I've researched Metz some years ago, their customer service has been outstanding. Meeting Pedro was a God sent. I was able to obtain my mini split have it installed at a great price. Here I am again continue to call Metz servicing, my mini split and as always Pedro came and as always super respectful to oblige. I gave them two stars because they did diagnose the problem after I had to ask them to check the air handler and thermostat. They wanted to incorrectly blame the SEC box for shutting off the ac. It was not. The ac was turning off because of a clogged drain line. They did eventually find that and they did unclog it. They would have gotten more if they didn't try to upsell me at every turn. They asked me about my old condenser and I told them I was not going to put into money into it. but they suggested several (3 or 4 times) times to do work on it that would cost 1000s to make it last longer. It is over 20 years old. NO! They wanted to charge me $2000 to run a new PVC drain line about 20 feet. I think I can handle that if and I mean IF it is needed in the future. Make sure you know what you want and only get what you need. read more

I used their service to replace my AC condensing unit and evap coil. After the job's done, they forgot to unplug the drain plug in the evap coil causing flooding and water dripping in the attic where my HVAC unit is. I called them to fix the issue which they did but after they fix it, I check their work and I notice they combine both primary and secondary drain line together, which is so wrong and not up to code!!! The correct way of doing it is to have primary drain line goes to the sink in nearby bathroom and the secondary drain line goes to a pipe to somewhere outside the house that is easy to see, or even better use a safety kill switch so in the event secondary drain line is used (which means something is wrong with the primary drain line), then it shuts off the HVAC unit completely. Brian and the staff in the office may be nice but the installer performs a poor workmanship. I dont trust them based on the experience I describe above. You can try to use their services but you have been warned. read more

Just finished a service with Metz and they sent their best and brightest to us! Jorge was on time and very knowledgeable! We had a great chat the entire time and he went above and beyond with the service! I don't think there's a better HVAC company out there, so if you're hesitant to call, don't be and pray you get Jorge! Definitely would call them again for any HVAC needs. Today was suppose to be a routine maintenance on our AC units. The technician Jay was very thorough in checking the entire system from the outside and in the attic. We have several issues with one of two systems and Jay explained step by step the problem, the cause and what is needed. He was very patient in explaining and answering all my questions. I felt very comfortable with him. He has a great personality, great communication skills which made it very easy to talk to him. Jay provided quotes for the work and was not pushy about getting it done. He let me know that someone would be contacting us if we should have further questions and that there was options on payment. My Carrier AC was blowing hot air. I reset the system and changed the filters first. I called, and they came the next day. They identified the problem and completed the repairs timely. We had water dripping from our emergency runoff valve so we called Metz to clear it out. Bryan (who was very nice) was the tech that came to check it out and said that he wanted to first try clearing the lines before looking at the coil in the attic. We thought this was strange. Instead of going into the attic to clear the lines, he looked for the main run-off and cleared it from the sink, okay...he told us to wait a few days to see if that would fix the problem but we would probably have to replace the entire coil which would be $4,200. Cost of coming out for a spritz of CO2? $140. We waited a few days and of course it didn't fix it. We wanted a second opinion so we called another AC repair. We were told that clearing the lines from the runoff line won't do anything!!! He went up into the attic and cleared the lines from up there. He fixed it! Cost: $250 They just want to upsell you on a repair you don't need. Get a second opinion. Will never call or recommend Metz to anyone! read more

Thank you so much to Metz Air Control! First of all, Hayden Metz was able to come out the next day after our AC stopped working from a power surge. We couldn't get the company that originally installed our unit and who we had a service contract with, to come out for at least a week. Hayden checked over the whole system and tried to fix less expensive parts before regretfully moving to the whole unit needing to be replaced. On the day of the install, Carlos and Armando arrived within the window of time given to me. They were clean, layed out mats to cover my floors and vacuumed the hallway when they were done. They hauled away the old unit and hosed down the driveway when they were finished outside. They stayed until the temp inside went down by 25 degrees to ensure that everything was working properly. Carlos set up our new thermostats and made sure I was comfortable using them. The other aspect that I appreciate about Metz is that every time they sent someone out, I received a text letting me know the tech was on their way and there was a picture of the tech. As a woman, I felt safer having that picture to compare to the person showing up at my door. I would recommend their services. read more

I recently had an experience with Metz HVAC that I feel compelled to share. Firstly, I appreciate their prompt response and willingness to schedule an appointment quickly when I called. However, based on my personal experience, I found that they were unable to accurately diagnose and address the issue. Let me explain what happened. My AC stopped working, so I contacted the manufacturer for repair. Not knowing how long it would take, I also decided to search for a nearby HVAC company for an inspection. Metz had good reviews on Google, so I decided to give them a try. A technician from Metz arrived on time as scheduled, which was commendable. After about an hour of inspection, Denny provided me with a quote of $1290 to replace a circuit board and two burned fuses. I approved the estimate and signed the paperwork. Surprisingly, within a week of receiving Metz's quote, the manufacturer called me and offered to send their technician for a look. After a two-hour inspection, the manufacturer's technician informed me that only one fuse was burned and that it would be repaired for free under the factory warranty. I questioned the previous quote from Metz, specifically regarding the circuit board replacement and the additional burned fuse. The manufacturer's technician confirmed that there was only one burned fuse and that the circuit board was in perfect condition, requiring no replacement. I immediately contacted Metz to explain the situation, and they were understanding and canceled the $1290 service request since no parts had been ordered yet. However, I was surprised to receive an email from them asking for a payment of $88 for the diagnosis. I called and expressed my concern, stating that their initial diagnosis and service quote were inaccurate. I did not feel comfortable paying for a service that didn't detect the actual problem. They acknowledged the situation and assured me that they would take care of it. Unfortunately, I continue to receive emails asking for the $88 payment. Every time I call, they promise to get back to me, but I never receive a follow-up. It's frustrating to be repeatedly asked to pay for a service they didn't properly provide. This experience left me feeling misled and questioning their integrity. Overall, while I can't say that Metz HVAC is a terrible company, I would caution others to be careful when dealing with their technicians. In my case, the technician, Danny, seemingly assessed the issue without using the necessary testing equipment required to diagnose a faulty circuit board. He immediately suggested a costly replacement, claiming it was discounted due to the factory warranty. I'm skeptical of such claims. Well, I will pay the $88 if that's their answer. I do not want to waste much energy over such minor charge. I just do not feel like I should pay for it regarding to the law, or to common sense. Of course, I may not file such minor case to small claim court, that's why I am sharing on Yelp to alarm other followers. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this company to my friends, family, or fellow Yelpers. It's crucial to choose a company with knowledgeable and trustworthy technicians. read more

Jorge took a look and fixed the immediate problem, but after discussing it I chose to go ahead and replace the whole system with a heat pump. He is very convincing! Great work!! I had 4 estimates from different company with 4 stars and above. Nathan was the best to identify the problems in the AC duct with most reasonable solution. Price was not the best, but felt most confident with his knowledge and skill. On the day, Nathan wasn't able to come, but no issues after all. Hayden and Alex did professional job. On June 6th had an appointment with Metz air to check air conditioning unit. Nathan came out that morning did a very thorough inspection(was here for 2 1/2hrs). We were told that the fan needed replacement plus some wiring, think shorted out wiring. Anyhow after some discussion due to age of unit(over 25 years) it was decided to replace air/heating unit. Nathan got on the phone with the office came up with some discounts for us. Arrangements were made for Metz to return on Monday June 6th. Received text message @ 8am, team was here @8:15 and proceeded to dismantle heat unit first. We had been told it would be a 2 day operation, anyhow by @ 1pm we were told they were finishing up, testing equipment, cleaning up drop cloths etc. They even ran the vacuum to pick up any debris that might have missed drop cloths. They replaced furniture that had to be moved for easier access. Big shout out to Carlos, Max and Armando for a job well done. For us now it always be Metz for our air/heating needs. Metz Air control just installed a new heat pump in my home. Armando Cervantes and Carlos Calderon did an amazing job with the install. They took good care of my home and left everything clean and tidy. The new cooling and heating system is working great. Hayden Metz did a great job in getting me in the right unit and not wasting my money repairing a 20 year old system on its last leg. I was informed about a $2,000 federal rebate which will help immensely. New systems are not cheap, so you want to go with a good, reliable company for the install. So glad Metz is here for us in Chino Hills. Their administrative staff is excellent too. They just don't make companies like this anymore. 5 star company in every aspect. Thank you Metz!
