    Wet burrito
    Mary K.

First time trying this place ordered the shredder beef wet burrito. It was huge enough for two people! Had to try their French fries nachos. That was ok. The place is clean. Service was good.

Tortilla soup or some thick mole?
    Jackie O.

The owners daughter Nancy was not only very rude but didn't try to accommodate us. Our surgery center always orders from them. We all got tortilla soup. It's usually to our liking this time it was extremely thick and had no consomé, or juice. Instead of a soup it looked like a mole. She said she can have her dad call Me back and if I doent like it I don't need to go back. Very rude and unprofessional!! I asked her if we can get a credit and she refused. Their customer service is horrible. I'm honestly very disappointed and I hope The owner can rectify how they conduct business and how they treat their customers.

    Quesabirria's $16

Let's talk about my order. I ordered 2 quesabirria's. The tortilla was perfect. One tortilla and crispy on the outside. The amount of meat in the inside was okay. It could have used more. They also added the cilantro and onion on the inside. It was tasty. The consomé, was delicious. Just the right Amish t of flavor. The service was good. I was attended right away. Even though I didn't see a quesabirria plate they young man at the register knew exactly what I wanted. The restaurant itself is very Mexican. Colorful tables, walls and Mexican decor. The tables all needed to be wiped down and the bathroom didn't have enough soap to wash my hands properly. It needed to be cleaner as well. Over all I would recommend this place for the "tacos de birria" also known as quesabirria's. I would say for the price, there should definitely be more meat in the tacos.

    Enchiladas and Tacos

Relocated to Walnut Creek Ca. In Visalia and Modesto it was easy to find good Mexican food but here in the Tri Valley East Bay the Mexican food is kinda bland and boring at most places. I saw this restaurant while driving home so I stopped and Ordered a 2 Choice Shredded Chicken Enchilada plate, 2 Asada Tacos, Large drink and 5(yea yea) Helados Ice Cream bars. It was To Go so Got home and when I opened the box I was happily surprised at the smell and presentation. How did it taste though right? AMAZING, The kind of food that makes you happy after you eat, I loved it so much I had the same thing for dinner the next day!! Large portions and very inexpensive for that quality of food. Beans and Rice were also winners!! I don't really wanna share so I can hog this place to myself but I would love for their business to succeed. Try it out, you might see me there!!!!

    Carnitas plate, pastor tacos

First time at this place during the middle of the day. Mariachi is a friendly place with good service. The inside is clean but no salsa bar so to-go order it is! The food is solid. The carnitas plate was a good portion and comes with an option of soft or hard tortilla. The carnitas itself had a good crispy exterior with a moist interior. Also got a shrimp burrito, this was a bit of a surprise because it was fairly spicy - wasn't expecting this and didn't ask for it to be spicy - still good overall. The pastor tacos also delicious. The side chips were fresh and crispy. Price wise, this place was on the higher side, but then again with inflation these days everything is creeping up.

I ordered 4 tacos: asada, chicken, carnitas and Al pastor . The Al pastor was bland, everything else was decent. The alpastor tasted like a failed version of adobada. The place lacks a bit of authenticity as they serve taco salad and taco shells, lol Taco Bell who? The staff were mentioning " translated from Spanish [no one gives us donations] " . Well some culture to learn tips are good token of appreciation not an entitlement. season the Al pastor and maybe we'll donate. Tacos were acceptable but one but I would not prioritize coming here .

    Carnitas burrito.

I usually walk the Heather Farms Trail that runs perpendicular to the Bancroft/Treat shopping center and noticed Mariachi Mexican Grill. A friend and I usually eat at one of the establishments over on Monument Blvd but decide to give this place a try. I'm a carnitas guy but enjoy a good al pastor taco. I decided to go for a carnitas crunchy taco, two al pastor soft tacos and a Diet Coke for the carbonation that goes well with all things fried. My buddy went for a carnitas burrito. The food came with a side of chips too. I'm a salt guy so anything salty tastes good to me but not necessarily over salted. I liked the carnitas in the crunchy taco but sadly the taco shell tasted like a store bought shell that needs to be heated. Unfortunately the taco shell was stone cold so it wasn't quite crunchy but had that slight crunch, slight chewy texture. The al pastor tacos came on two street taco size tortillas that were grilled which added a nice touch. I'm not sure if the salsa over powered the al pastor or if the seasoning on the al pastor was very mild. I really couldn't taste the al pastor but the food in general wasn't bad. The chips unfortunately like the taco shell, were not warm so they weren't really crunchy. My buddy said his burrito was okay. The carnitas were a bit salty for him so I'm not sure if the carnitas I got was from the same batch or if my salt tolerance is higher. He mentioned that the ratio of meat to the other ingredients was a bit light. I'll give the place a try again and see if I find something that stands out. The prices are reasonable, $2.10 a taco crunchy or soft. The workers are pleasant, not overly friendly but they do serve your food to your table.

Meat was brunt and very dry. Great customer service tho.

We started with the chips and salsa, and they were a great way to kick things off. The chips tasted fresh and were perfectly crispy. Both the red and green salsas had really good flavor without being overly spicy. We also ordered spicy margaritas, and the bartender definitely knew what they were doing. The drinks were well-balanced with just the right amount of heat. For our entrees, we ordered the burrito, carne plate, enchiladas, and the bee salad. The standout was definitely the carne--it was incredibly tender and practically melted in your mouth. It was cooked perfectly. The burrito was absolutely massive and packed with flavor, while the enchiladas tasted homemade and were comforting and delicious. Everyone at the table left happy. Overall, it was a great dining experience with delicious food, excellent drinks, and attentive service despite how busy they were. We'll definitely be back--especially because their brunch menu is next on our list!

The one thing that really stands out to me about Bar Camino though is their bartenders. Very friendly and 100% on top of their games no matter how busy they get. Most of the time my lemonade was refilled before I even asked, no matter how many tickets were on the rail waiting to be filled. A few menu tweaks, including seasoning, and they should be able to elevate their overall game on the backs of their strong staff.

The zucchini was cooked perfectly and not overcooked or soggy at all, which made the whole burrito taste fresh and flavorful. Everything paired together really well and had a lot of flavor without feeling too heavy. I also tried the mango margarita with tajín on the rim and really liked it because it wasn't overly sweet. Super refreshing and balanced. The Dude ordered the chicken enchiladas with verde sauce and really enjoyed those as well. Customer service was also really good. I noticed how enthused and attentive they were to other patrons in comparison to how they were with me and my daughter. I'll leave it at that. I purchased a chicken burrito, a steak burrito (burritos came with potato chips), a mango margarita, and a cheesecake. Pros- the food is fresh and made with quality ingredients. The mango margarita.... Best thing I ordered! Cons- Burritos lacked flavor and was pretty unremarkable. The cheesecake. Idk if it was spoiled or a different type of cheesecake but it didn't taste good at all. My daughter ate it bc she's greedy lol and said that it tastes "interesting". Im pleased to hear they do look into these things and try to make things whole. I've been to this restaurant a dozen times since working in alamo in the past. Last time I'm coming here. I placed a phone order for a REGULAR al pastor burrito earlier. The amount of meat was miniscule compared to the beans and rice BTW. When I got there they gal read the tag that had my phone order for a REGULAR burrito. I was charged $17 but with tax it was over $18. I called later in the day and the lady on the phone said the regular is 12.99. Im lactose intolerant so I don't do dairy which the super has. Anyways I find this business practice repulsive and will not be returning. I hope this review gets views and reconsider patronizing at this establishment. Huge thumbs down. They don't seem to value customers. I called them after finding out they did me dirty overcharging me. The employee told me the owner/management was out of town. I reached out to them on instagram in attempt to inform ownership/management of what is happening. The person responding on instagram told me they are out of town. I never got a follow up from them. Who knows if they actually investigated what happened because I didn't get a follow up. I could care less about the extra few dollars they took. If they have an employee intentionally overcharging then they need to correct it. It's simple as that. All the info is in the photo I included in the review if they choose to investigate.

The food came with complimentary tortilla chips and a salsa dip with frijoles. The dip and Chios were fresh and the salsa with blended with frijoles was enjoyable. The crunchy tacos were fried nicely and had a good amount of filling. I thinking about trying carnitas as the filling but there a bit of a charge. The tamale was pretty good. The masa was not too dry or too wet. The meat to masa ratio was about right. My friend liked his chile relleno. The rice was more well done than I usually prefer and needed a little more seasoning.
