This place is tucked away off I-35 but they have a billboard if you're going I-35N that draws your attention. Do yourself a favor and stop in! They have friendly and fast service as well as great Mexican food. The tortillas are so buttery and flavorful, I can eat the tortillas by themselves. This is also the first place I've dined that gives you chips, salsa, and beans. I enjoyed the beans more than the salsa however, both were very appetizing. Our waitress was fairly new and she originally brought me the wrong dish but she was very apologetic and it was replaced quickly. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and a cucumber margarita. This was my first time having a cucumber margarita. It was so refreshing. I think I might've found a new Taco Tuesday spot and favorite drink!

Omg y'all this place amazing the staff were super friendly and our waitress was great. She suggested some items we should try like a Blue Margarita and it was delicious. This place has reasonable prices and the food is absolutely delicious we were seated right away and the food arrived at our table timely. I had the mixed platter and y'all everything on my plate was finger licking good and yes I had chicken wings at a Taco place. Y'all won't be disappointed.

Great prices. The tacos were filllllled, they didn't skimp at all. This place is clean and just has that vibe and attentive service that makes you want to come back. Love the decorations.

We visited on a Friday specifically to enjoy the Mariachis that perform that evening. Our group of 14 was seated quickly--probably after about a 10-minute wait. Our meals arrived all at once and within a reasonable timeframe. The combination of delicious food, lovely music, and great company made for a perfect experience. Although parking was a little tight, it was manageable. Everyone enjoyed cocktails that were not only tasty but also reasonably priced. We'll definitely be returning!

I went there with my husband, trying to find a good local restaurant around our place. It's tricky since we are vegetarians sometimes. They were so accommodating for us for the menu, the waitress and the manager were both very very nice. The vegetarian options were okay, but a bit bland but we get it bc we asked for accommodation! But the service was extraordinary, I really appreciated the team there

Local spot my friends took me to while in town. Sorry for forgetting to take pictures of the food. I inhaled my sour cream chicken enchiladas before I thought too. They had a mariachi band playing the Friday night I went. It was a nice touch!

First time coming here! We got a coupon by mail recently so we followed the address and got here. As we are vegetarian, we asked for vegetarian menu and they had a few options and the friendly staff, Nadia, led us to the seat! Interior of this restaurant is the authentic Mexican style and I like the vibe there! Nadia shared the menu info of what we can have in vegetarian style (very thoughtful)! And when she wasn't sure if the substitute was okay, she called her manager, Saul, to make sure alternatives were okay! So We got lots of cacti and avocado with veggies! Unfortunately, they use lard on rice and beans so we had to remove it from our dishes; sad (PLEASE MAKE VEGETARIAN BEANS AND RICE without animal products; the demand will soon increase!) so they substituted with more cacti and avocado which was still good! We ordered three crispy tacos, fajita, 4 soft taco and hochata! I think cacti was the winner of the night! Overall we had a wonderful dinner over there and wishes that they make vegetarian options including rice and beans and beyond!! Hope for the improvement! Also, today was 5th anniversary of working here for our friendly staff, Nadia! Congratulations and hope you continually make people happy with your smiling face! Cheers

First visit to this restaurant. Seems crowded when we passed by numerous times but not so much today. Parking was available which was good. Seated right away and server was attentive with drinks and salsa/chips. Street tacos with pork filling were tasty. Enchiladas verde with chicken were good. Wished for some veggies on the plate but limited to beans and enchiladas. The verde salsa had a good flavor and stewed chicken also had some flavor but would have appreciated some onions or peppers, lettuce and tomato. Oh well. Celebrating NY day so treated ourselves to deserts - tres leche cake and cheesecake. Both were good and requested a couple pieces of fruit on the cheesecake - 2 blackberries and a piece of strawberry as well as some chocolate drizzle. Tres leche authentic taste. Will probably go back to try other staples. Menu is gigantic. Restaurant filling up as we were leaving.

We were traveling recently from Austin to Waco and got extremely hungry. We decided we needed Mexican food. Who doesn't need good Mexican food when you are traveling right?!? So we found this place off the highway and boy are we glad we did. First off the service EVERYONE here checks in on you. From the person that seated you to the staff just walking by your table. We felt pretty darn special. We got a frozen margarita which actually was a standard margarita but..... drum roll.... They have to go margaritas. That right there made me wish we had one where we live. I got the queso birria tacos after wrestling with the enchiladas. I'm glad I did. I'm not so much of a consume person, but the meat had outstanding flavors. Those of you that know me know I am a birria whore and I am very picky about my tacos. Absolutely delish. Plus they had a spicy green and red sauce that made my mouth water with delight. It was pretty busy during lunch, but not so busy we couldn't hear ourselves talk. So positive vibes on the ambience as well. We will definitely go back whenever we pass through again.

Hubby got the combo fajitas, didn't have peppers but tons of caramelized yummy onions that we loved. Girls got the Mac n cheese which was a hit and the other got their chicken fingers. We also got the friend ice cream, which was just ice cream covered in Frosted Flakes but it was awesome, had honey, chocolate all the good stuff. Burros Tex Mex Bar and Grill is a great, casual spot in Round Rock to grab some Tex Mex classics…read more.. it isn't going to blow your mind but you can fill up on the complimentary chips and salsa, cheese enchiladas and quesadillas, and plenty of rice and beans. It's a little overpriced for what it is but it gets the job done. FAST FACTS: * Parking - lot out from of the building with plenty of spots * Happy Hour - couldn't find updated days and hours but they do have HH specials * Lunch specials from 11 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday SERVICE - We arrived around 6:30 pm on a Monday and they weren't busy at all (although it was Cinco de Mayo and they got busier as the night went on). We were seated right away and had complimentary chips and salsa brought to the table immediately (they're very mediocre). Our server, Fatima, made sure we had refills throughout the meal and the food came out quickly. PRICING - The total was $65.45 after tax ($4.99) but before tip for a Burros queso ($10.49), shredded chicken quesadilla ($14.99), Javier's plate ($17.49), and carne asada ($17.49). For basic Tex Mex, it seemed a little overpriced but the portion sizes are good. BURROS QUESO (6/10) - This is a basic chili con queso... it's topped with ground beef, guacamole, and pico but not much. I don't think I'd order this again because it isn't worth it for the price... I'd rather just order a small chili con queso. SHREDDED CHICKEN QUESADILLA (6/10) - It's a pretty standard chicken quesadilla served with shredded lettuce, pico, sour cream, and guacamole. You do get plenty of shredded chicken inside! This is great to split as an appetizer or get as an entree. I'd order this again. JAVIER'S PLATE (6/10) - It's a good portion size but nothing special. The grilled skirt steak had a nice flavor but is kinda hard to cut up and eat. You get rice, beans, and a small tortilla cup with lettuce, pico, and guacamole. I probably wouldn't order this again because I'd rather try other things. CARNE ASADA (6/10) - Again, it's a good portion size but nothing special. The grilled chicken breast is the same price as the diced skirt steak which doesn't quite make sense to me but you get a decent amount of sautéed onion, tomatoes, serano peppers, mushrooms, and zucchini. Again, you get rice, beans, and a small tortilla cup with lettuce, pico, and guacamole. I'd order this again if I want to get in some veggies with my meal. This was my first visit to Burros Tex Mex Bar and Grill and I probably won't rush to come back because there are other Tex Mex restaurants nearby that I prefer. It wasn't bad by any means, it just doesn't stand out (especially for the price). But, in a pinch, I'd stop by again if I was nearby and in the mood for Tex Mex.

I've traveled all over Texas and across the U.S., and I can say without hesitation that Las Cocinas Mexican Grill is hands-down the BEST Mexican restaurant I have ever been to -- and that includes all of Austin. My family and I come here several times a week, even though we don't live close by. That alone should tell you how incredible this place is. Must-try favorites (do NOT skip these): The Margaritas - Very strong and absolutely perfect. Order them half & half (half on the rocks, half frozen). Trust me -- you'll thank me later. Nachos Al Carbon (Appetizer) - The beef fajita meat is out of this world. Tender, flavorful, and unforgettable. Beef Fajitas Cremosas (Entrée) - Get them with EXTRA sun-dried tomatoes. Oh. My. God. I have never had anything like this in my life, and it's something I crave several times a week. Stuffed Jalapeños - So good I sometimes order them as my entire meal. And the onion rings they're served on? Easily the best onion rings I've ever had anywhere. Beyond the food, the staff is absolutely amazing. From the moment you walk in, they make you feel like family -- warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy you're there. That kind of service is rare, and it's one of the many reasons this place is so special to us. And yes -- I always forget to take pictures of my food because I eat it before I remember to take photos for a review . That should tell you everything you need to know about how good it is.
