Bland. Many elders coming in for bland food. Many waitresses. Ordered a beer which was only available on tap and it tasted sour. How often are tap lines cleaned?

We like it at Mexico Cafe and took our kids and grandson there on a Friday night. There was some confusion when I put our name in. I said we were a party of four with a toddler and the girl marked down party of five. They kept us on ice until people vacated two tables of four to get us seated. After almost 30 minutes the lady in charge realized we were four with a high chair and she found us a booth. They had some large tables coming in. I guess I should have been happy to get seated. We waited 20 more minutes to order then waited close to if not over an hour to get food. We have always had prompt service but we don't usually go on a Friday night. Our toddler grandson held it together pretty good. Maybe better than I did actually but he too had his limits. By the time we were served our order he was done. If we had waited any longer we were going to start getting mail there. I asked for the check right away to avoid another wait. I was ready to leave before the order came. When you see people seated after you leaving after their meal BEFORE you even get yours it's frustrating. We will go back for sure but not on a Friday night.

Chili rellino. This is as good as any I have ever eaten. They put chili verde on it.

After you cut through all the accessibility stuff that I had to answer you are left with the fact that this is the best Mexican restaurant this side of El Cholo.

Our favorite place to get good Mexican food when we are in the area - we have also made the trip just for their food.

Great food, great service. Celia's nachos are the star of the show for me! I would recommend to a friend visiting town.

Uninspiring. Wait staff not very attentive. Had to ask twice for iced tea refill and go up to register to get the bill.

Very impressed. Parking lot was packed, so we pulled in. Our Carne Asada was top notch. Food came fast, we were impressed.

The first time my wife and I came in, we shared the fajitas and they were absolutely incredible. Everything was full of flavor, fresh, and cooked perfectly. Their homemade beans alone are worth talking about -- seriously some of the best I've had. We came back again today and I tried the enchiladas with the creamy poblano sauce... and wow. Hands down the best enchiladas I've ever had. That sauce was rich, flavorful, and something I'll definitely be coming back for. On top of the amazing food, the customer service has been top notch both times. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and really makes the experience even better. And I can't forget the real fruit coconut margarita -- absolutely to die for! Fresh, beautiful, and just as good as it looks. This place is officially one of our favorites. Amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing people. We'll definitely be back!

We were seated quickly in the bar area which was much quieter than the main dining area, the decor was simple but on point and all the tables had little tulip arrangements. Our server was prompt and made excellent recommendations. I got the crispy tacos (YUM) and my husband got the enchiladas with the green sauce, the sauce was to die for! Will definitely keep this place in mind when we are back up in the area.

Two salsa bottles (salsa verde and a smoky salsa) were brought to the table. - Agua de horchata ($2.50 USD small) - good but they added a lot of ice. - 2 Enchiladas & 1 tamal combination platter (#3) ($14.99 USD) - tamale was good, enchiladas were bland. Rice wasn't hot; tasted like it sat in the warmer for too long. - Lengua en salsa verde ($16.99 USD) - beef tongue was tender and sautéed onions were nice but tiny portion. Only 7 thin slices of tongue. Nothing blew us away at EMDM. On to the next Mexican spot to try.

We tried to share menus for a few minutes, but then decided to ask for another menu since there were two of us. We ordered combos and added a grande taco which is made with a handmade tortilla so that was exciting. FYI there's not chips and salsa here like most of the Mexican restaurants. The food was delicious. Service was OK. The prices are very reasonable. It wasn't too much food which is great! No need to take leftovers home that might go to waste anyway. I'd rather have the low prices. It appeared clean inside. Dated interiors. Large women's bathroom. It's kind of a strange layout and when standing out front, looked more like apartment doors and the open sign was off. Thankfully they had a small sign next to the right door that had their hours written on it and were open.
