My wife an I met another couple at La Catrina for dinner. Free street parking can be found in the surrounding area. Credit cards are an accepted form of payment with a 3.42% service charge added to each transaction. The first round of chips and salsa are complimentary. Chips and salsa servings are on the small side compared to other Mexican restaurants. Additional rounds will be charged. La Catrina offers a full bar but doesn't have a lounge. Weekday specials can be found on the entrance blackboard. While looking over the menu, my wife sipped on a Jameson for $12 and I slurped on a Negra Modelo for $7.50. I chose one Chicken Tinga Taco for $3.99: double tortilla, chipotle chicken, cilantro and onions. I also ordered a Pollo Habanero Taco for $3.99: double tortilla, chicken in habanero sauce and pico de gallo. My wife ordered the Carnitas Burrito Bowl for $18: flour tortilla bowl, rice, beans, queso crema, lettuce, cabbage and pico de gallo. Our friends ordered the Camarones a La Diabla for $27.99: prawns mushrooms, bell pepper and onions. Served with a side of rice and beans. Service was friendly but slow. Food was pleasant but not excellent. Overall, La Catrina is overpriced. Portions are small.

Food was very good. Super flavorful. Service was extremely slow and our server never checked in after taking our order, some parts of dishes were cool vs warm, missed our order of guacamole and an additional order of rice and beans. Also they really didn't explain the Margarita tower as each "bottle" has a single straw so weird for sharing if you're not family - and maybe if you are. Tower itself was a little dirty on the base. Clear they didn't wipe it down. Restaurant overall has good vibe.

Oh man! My brother suggested this place and it's a good choice! Everything was so fresh. Even the tortilla soup was homemade and the margaritas were fabulous! Summer was our server and she was equally great too. We really enjoyed our meal. Definitely hit up taco Tuesday and get the carna asada ones.

Catrina has fast become one of my favorite stops for dinner. Located in downtown MV, they're locally-owned and serving up tons of Mexican food deliciousness; especially on Taco Tuesday when you can grab one of their tiny, tasty tacos for only $175. My favorite is the chicken crema, which includes corn and a sinfully delicious, cheesy cream sauce. Next up, the chicken tinga, which are just spicy enough without killing my tastebuds. Their shrimp tacos (not part of the Taco Tuesday special, sadly) are also divine. When I go solo, I like to sit at the bar, get a pint of negra Modelo (yes, they have it on tap!), much some chips and salsa, and enjoy a few tacos. It's also a great place to go for a casual date, or with a crowd. They just recently doubled the size of the restaurant, when they took over and remodeled the space next door. No more long lines for Taco Tuesday! What sets Catrina apart, though, is the friendly staff. They make me feel right at home whenever I visit. The service is always fast, even when they're busy. The biggest challenge is parking, but usually you can find a spot if you drive around the block once or twice.

My boyfriend, some friend and I went here last weekend on a whim and I am so glad we did! We got tons from the menu (tacos, burritos, enchiladas and more) but I am STILL thinking about this tamarind margarita! Knocking off a star because I felt like the flavors were a little muted for everything but luckily they had delicious salsas to add on top!

Fast, friendly, delicious! I didn't plan on stopping for lunch, but I couldn't pass up Taco Tuesday.

    Steak "La Catrina"

Good service, Dania is great, the bar is nicely lit, the steak la Catrina had a half of flank steak (if that it was minimal) but was the most expensive dinner on the menu. Not worth the 29$ for this. Please consider another option

Our lunch was fantastic! Great flavors! We all loved our meals. From taco salad, to burrito, to chili rellano, to tacos, everything was fresh and seasoned well. The fresh fried jalapeños added a nice heat. The guacamole and chips were delicious. Even the fried taco shell was very crispy and not at all oily. The kitchen knows what it's doing. Treated ourselves with fried ice cream - big enough for the 4 of us. The lunch special is a particularly a good deal.

Taco Tuesday is a winner here. $1.75 for most of the tacos on their menu. We were pretty hungry and ended up eating 9 tacos per person. On nice days they open up the old garage door in the front of the building which lets in lots of light and air. They also have a couple tables on the sidewalk patio. Server was super nice. Would definitely come back here.

Best tequila and tacos find in the entire state, hands down. This small gem exceeded expectations in service, for and price. Our server was very knowledgable and spent time explaining the different tequilas we inquired about, despite being busy. We spent most of our time tasting the recommended tequilas, but also tried a variety of tacos by the each ($3-4 per depending on protein choice). Wish we had more of an appetite to try more menu items- guess we'll just have to come back! This place is kid-friendly and group-friendly. Not too sure about pet-friendly but there was a patron who came in with a cat. It seems when the weather is warm, the garage door opens to the outdoors with patio seating. There is an 8 seat bartop, as well as 2 large group booths in the back area. It was open seating when we visited, not sure if that's the norm, but it was pretty busy and loud which made it exactly where we wanted to be on a Saturday evening.

By @iwanttobewhatieat It may not always be Tuesday, but when it is, let's go to @lacatrinamv The vibe is very day of the dead meets corner bar. The food + service + drinks were fantastic. Obsessed with the Taco menu: the pescado, shrimp, pollo asado and el pastor are a MUST. Most of their tacos are $3.00+ on Tuesday, basically free in this economy. The Tortilla soup was sooo good right down to the clank of the spoon in the empty bowl. DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT A BEVERAGE!! The Cadillac Margarita that you see in these photos, that's hot sauce and tahini on the rim. My once low margarita standards are now bougie. The service was good making this a spot worth being on your need to eat list.

First time visiting Skagit Valley and got hungry after touring tulip farm RoozenGaarde. Randomly stopped in this small low key restaurant. Food was excellent, fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented. Prices were quite reasonable and service was attentive. We very much enjoyed our quiet and cozy weekday lunch here!

Great bacon wrapped jalapeños refresh out of the oven nachos. And the margaritas are potent.

I noticed a bunch of slates with beer names and spotted a cider from Terramar advertising a Strawberry Rhubarb cider and decided I wanted to try that flavor combination. It was sweet with a little tart aftertaste. For my meal I opted for the Porterhouse Cheese Curds as an appetizer and the Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich with fries for my main dish. The cheese curds were nicely battered and fried and the housemade ranch was a nice accompaniment to the cheese curds. The spicy crispy chicken sandwich was only crispy on the outside where the batter was applied! The rest of the chicken was tender and juicy. So tasty . I didn't think the sandwich was all that spicy, but that would be my fault because I eat jalapeno like candy and routinely use habanero hot sauce on my food. Even though I didn't think it was all that spicy I did enjoy the flavor and crunch of the sandwich. There was a bunch of steak fries served with my sandwich. Excellent fries, but way too many for me to eat them all. I think I probably ate only 1/4 of them!!
