Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros dark boat ride at Mexico Pavilion at World Showcase at EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort.
    Daniel B.

Mexico Pavilion is home to one of my favorite rides in all of Disney World: the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros. Aside from that, this pavilion is unique in that it is located mostly indoors, inside a Mesoamerican pyramid. Inside, the Plaza de los Amigos marketplace recreates the feel of a moonlit Mexican town square. From the plaza, you can watch the Gran Fiesta Tour boats float by against a backdrop of a 'distant' smoking volcano and ancient ruins. A permanent art exhibit titled "'Remember Me!' - La Celebración del Día de Muertos" (Coco) and other artwork like Animales Fantásticos is neat to look at, and there are often live artists on-site--like wood carvers--creating new pieces. Mexico is one of 11 nations represented in EPCOT's World Showcase. If you are walking clockwise starting from Mexico, the pavilions order is: 1. Mexico 2. Norway 3. China 4. Germany 5. Italy 6. The United States (The American Adventure) 7. Japan 8. Morocco 9. France 10. United Kingdom 11. Canada While there are 11 today, only nine were there on opening day in 1982. Morocco was added in 1984, and Norway was the final addition in 1988.

The Mexico Pavilion is located inside the Epcot. It is part of the World Showcase, which is a section of the park dedicated to representing different countries. I am so happy that I got to experience this magical place where I felt like I was actually back in Mexico experiencing some of its culture and traditions. The Pavilion's exterior is modeled after ancient Mayan and Aztec structures, specifically the El Castillo pyramid at Chichen Itza and the Temple of Quetzalcoatl at Teotihuacan. Once you are inside, you'll find shops, restaurants (including the San Angel Inn), a bar, and carts selling Mexican crafts and goods. In the evening, the place is coverted to night time lighting and is so beautiful! You can sign up for a gentle boat ride that takes you through the sights and sounds of Mexico, featuring Donald Duck and his friends. It's really beautiful at night. While dining at San Angel, you can watch the boats float by. The entire time there is lovely Disney music playing. This was a very worthwhile experience and I would love to return again.

The Mexico Pavilion is located at EPCOT in World Showcase. It is my favorite pavilion and the first one you will hit if you turn left. To start, Mexico Pavilion has a ride. It is located inside the main building, the temple you see out front. The ride is a slow moving boat ride where you travel through Mexican cities with the 3 Caballeros. The pavilion also has a pretty large gift shop with tons of options. For food, they offer 2 table service restaurants (one inside and one on the water), 1 quick service (outside), 1 drink location outside that sells margaritas and a couple of snacks and then a tequila bar located inside. This probably has the most food options out of all the countries. All of the food options are great! We have been to all of them and would recommend each one. My wife and I always make a point to visit the the tequila bar, La Cava del Tequila on every visit to the park. They have a few tables you can sit down and have a drink there but most people get their drinks to go. Side note the table service which is located outside the pavilion, is only open for dinner. I love this pavilion number one because the AC is just amazing! It is so hot especially in the summer and this has one of the best if not the best AC. It is incredibly nice and cool inside. My only negative is they need more seating inside and because of the popularity this pavilion is always crowded. If you go to the tequila bar to grab a drink, there is no where for you to sit. It would be nice to have a bench or small tables to sit and enjoy your cocktail. There are tables outside in the quick service, but honestly in the summer its really tough. As I mentioned you can sit inside and get a table, which could be wait. This is what we prefer to do. Overall this pavilion has a lot to offer, it has lots of food options, a ride (most of the pavilions do not have a ride), shopping and lots of cocktails. It is nice and cool inside, it's dark and again it has strong AC. It is a great spot when the heat is really getting to you and it allows you to head inside and cool down. I think this pavilion is just right!

Avocado marg was insanely smooth and light. Not boozy at all. The chicken mole tamal was also very good. Great chocolatey mole with little to no spice. Chai fiesta margarita tasted like Christmas. Touch of rosemary. Overall worth the try!

The best ride in the park!

EPCOT's Mexico Pavilion - A Hidden Gem Tucked Inside a Pyramid If there's one spot in EPCOT that feels like you've stepped into another world, it's Mexico. This pavilion has vibes, plain and simple. The music, the atmosphere, the marketplace -- everything just hits different here. You walk into a towering Mayan pyramid, and instantly, you're wrapped in the glow of twilight lanterns, the hum of mariachi music, and the smell of fresh chips and guac floating through the air. It's indoors but feels like nighttime in a Mexican village. Disney magic at its best. Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros This is one of those EPCOT classics that's easy to miss but never should be skipped. Hop in a boat and cruise past a smoldering volcano, through vibrant towns, and into Donald Duck's hilarious misadventures with Panchito and José. It's charming, colorful, and rarely has a long line. It's the kind of ride that makes you smile the whole time -- and one I always make time for. La Cava del Tequila Let's talk tequila. This tiny, tucked-away tequila cave is a must-do for adults in EPCOT. The margarita menu is legendary (yes, I said legendary), and the vibes are chill and classy. You want bold? Go for the Jalapeño Margarita. Want something creamy and unexpected? That Avocado Margarita will convert you. I usually grab one mid-afternoon while strolling through World Showcase -- it's a perfect cooldown moment. San Ángel Inn Restaurante Dining inside the pyramid under that forever twilight sky? Absolutely magical. Tables overlook the indoor river, and you can watch boats from the Gran Fiesta Tour glide by as you eat. The setting is unmatched. Food-wise, you're looking at traditional Mexican dishes with Disney flair -- I've had a few meals here over the years and the ambiance always elevates the experience. The Marketplace This pavilion has some of the most unique shopping in all of EPCOT. Hand-painted pottery, Day of the Dead souvenirs, embroidered clothing -- it's authentic, colorful, and feels like a real mercado. My family loves wandering through here -- especially when we need a break from the Florida heat. Mariachi Cobre Outside the pyramid, don't miss Mariachi Cobre. These guys bring the soul of Mexico to life. Live music, talent, culture, and passion -- it's a beautiful moment every time. And if you've got a snack or margarita in hand while they're playing? That's peak EPCOT. Gregory's Tip: Midday is the best time to visit Mexico. The interior is cool and shady, the tequila bar hits right when you need it, and it's a perfect reset before continuing around the world. Bonus: you can usually walk right on Gran Fiesta Tour and score a break from the crowds. This pavilion sets the tone for the entire World Showcase. It's rich in detail, relaxing but full of energy, and always worth the stop. Whether I'm here with family, grabbing a drink, or just soaking it in on a casual EPCOT day -- Mexico is a vibe, a retreat, and a must-do.

Dinner went fantastic, server was outstanding and super friendly. I celebrated my birthday it was fabulous. A tiny bit overpriced for Mexican door that was just well Mexican food but we enjoyed the experience.

We always love Mexico for a meal. The ambiance is the best country in Epcot. The lighting and effects and everything make you feel like you are no longer in Disney. It's like you are really in Mexico. The food was amazing and the service was good. But just come for the experience. We enjoyed shopping and riding the ride as well Next time I will have to leave room for dessert! We were all so full!

Mexico Pavilion is located in Epcot World Showcase. As soon as you walk into the Pavilion, you'll see a A pre-Colombian pyramid. When you enter the Pyramid to Plaza de Los Amigos, you'll notice a lot of Coco themed inspiration within the Pavilion. There are several gift stores, one of my favorite restaurants, San Angel Inn Restaurant, and the ride Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros. This attraction features Donald Duck, Jose Carioca, and Panchito. Its based on Disney's 1944 animated film The Three Caballeros. It's a slow, dark boat ride. San Angel Inn Restaurant overlooks this ride. You'll also see a beautiful Mayan pyramid in the background. The food is absolutely amazing at this restaurant. The ambiance is awesome. It reminds me of the blue bayou at Disneyland. Outside, the Mariachi Cobre performs 25-minute sets as a traditional Mariachi band. There are several dining locations such as La Hacienda de San Angel is one of the table service dining options in Epcot. Another good choice is La Cantina de San Angel. This restaurant is located outside across the pathway. It serves some delicious food such as tacos, churros, tostados, Mexican beer, and margaritas. This is one of my favorite spots to stop by in Epcot!

Experience Mexico without being murdered by a drug cartel! They have 2 (that's dos) excellent sit down restaurant options, a counter service spot and a dedicated margarita spot which I think also serves tacos (tacos). And during special events, there's a pop-up kiosk place that serves additional items. The have a ride which is kind of fun and low-key, but not worth waiting in any big line. The pyramid itself has some cool displays when you go in and is very Day of the Dead (Dies de los Muertos) oriented. Further in, there's a market (mercado) setup where you can get different kinds of merchandise (novelty tequila t-shirts, skulls, Mickey ears, etc.). It's one of the first when you enter the world (mundo) showcase from the main entrance (go left) and still the best. Way better than Canada's Pavillion!

This building is amazing. The decoration looks great and the ride is so fun. But what tops all of that is the restaurant. The food is so good. We eat there every time.

    Danielle V.

One of my favorite pavilions in Epcot. We always start here! They have some good restaurants and good quick service spots. They have the best bar where you can get tequila drinks. We always get the avocado margarita and walk around the shops. Then we ride the ride that is inside.

Giant game pieces, oversized footprints, building blocks used as architecture, and Christmas lights strung overhead as decoration all reinforced the scale in a way that rewarded me for actually looking around rather than just moving from ride to ride. Slinky Dog Dash is the anchor attraction and delivered as a family coaster that works for a wide range of ages. It is smooth, fast enough to feel exciting, and the Toy Story theming throughout the track layout is well integrated. Wait times regularly stretch past an hour, so prioritizing it early in the day or using Lightning Lane is the practical move. Toy Story Mania is an interactive 4D shooting game that holds up across multiple rides and was genuinely competitive and fun for my group. Alien Swirling Saucers is the gentler option that skews younger, but it is an easy yes for anyone who does not mind spinning. Woody's Lunch Box is worth building a meal or snack stop around. The totchos and grilled cheese are the items that keep coming up for good reason, and the Lunch Box Tarts are worth grabbing for dessert if I want something to eat while I keep moving through the land. The one consistent practical note is that the area has very little shade and gets genuinely hot during the middle of the day. Coming in during the early morning or staying into the evening is the right call. At night the land takes on a different quality with the lighting, and it is worth lingering in if my park day extends into the evening hours.
