This is my favorite pavilion. I love the Coco music playing. I've seen Mariachis play here and that was really fun, too. The temple area is the coolest. My wife REALLY likes eating inside and I like it, too. I hope they update the boat ride, though. It's just ok and really outdated. read more

I love Epcot center and I love the world showcase. it is by far my favorite Disney park, and I haven't even been to their famous food and wine festival. Mexican pavilion is actually one of my favorites, it is where I can take pictures with Donald duck who is my favorite Disney character of all times. They also have a cantina where you can get some pretty great food at a good price and you don't have to make reservations for. The food served actually comes from the same kitchen as the restaurant. We were able to sit by the water and caught some of the fireworks at the end of the evening it was pretty cool. I also like the market place they have Los Tres Amigos boat ride where you can just sit and chill for a little bit with AC. Because this is a very low profile ride there is no wait often times. Highly recommend this place if you are already in this park, especially if you like the movie, CoCo, since you will not often experience this culture in most of the theme park in the U.S.. The alcohol drinks are also special here, but they are expensive and you will not be able to bring them into tours and rides. read more

Viva La Mexico! Inside the Mayan pyramid there is a festival going on. There are carts full of colorful merchandise, eateries filled with delicious food and shops with sparkly things galore. There is the San Angel inn if you are looking for a sit-down experience, where the wait staff is dressed in full Mexican regalia and of course there is the ride. The pavilion is indeed one of my favorites and stands out on the World Showcase walkway. read more

Been to Mexican pavilion plenty of times over the years ..this time I wanted to get a picture of Donald by himself so I would wait for him to finish with a guest and tried to snap one of him...I noticed he would walk backwards a few times and then walked the guest..thought that was odd..so I told wife that's odd...so I stepped back and noticed he didn't walk backwards with others..so I decided to try again..at this time DONALD noticed and looked like he got attitude and came at me as you can see in the pictures ..not sure if he was playing his role but we have never seen a character act like this before for taking his picture...I know this is not a Disney YELP page but I figure I would let YELPERS know ..Don' ruffle Donald feathers by taking his picture alone or he will turn in to his Brother Scrooge!! read more

This is definitely my favorite pavilion at Epcot, however it just seems to be getting more and more expensive. I opted for a plain margarita and was charged $15. This is really why you can't have more than one margarita there without going broke. A flight of shots is $27 and they are NOT full size shots. I know this because I have been a bartender for over 12 years. The bartenders are friendly which is primarily the reason that I love this pavilion. But the pricing is what brings me to give it a less than stellar review. read more

We love the Mexico Pavilion at Epcot! We have been to a few different cities in Mexico, and I love that they do their best to make you feel like you are there. The colors are bright and vibrant. The staff is friendly. The stores/restaurants/tequileria are some of the best at Epcot. (Maybe that's the tequila talking, but we love it) They have a cute boat ride, think "It's a Small World", Mexico style. Hop in line and join the Fiesta! read more

the mexican pavilion is very beautiful and has lots to look at! the boat ride on the inside is really cool and interesting too! as far as food goes, i was pretty impressed. the line wasn't too bad but as it always is in disney: it was pretty hard to get a table. the chips and guacamole were really good! the guac has really good seasoning and the chips were really crunchy. it came with a plentiful amount of both and i would definitely recommend! the taco trio was also good, the rice and beans were a lot better than i expected too. the empanadas left a bit to be desired, however. it was only cheese inside and i almost wanted a more meaty flavor from them. overall, this is a really good place in epcot to eat! loved it! read more

This pavilion is pretty cool because there's a marketplace in perpetual twilight inside the pyramid. Another place we easily could have gone nuts if I had deeper pockets. The biggest hits with my son were musical instruments and all things Coco. Speaking of Coco, why are there no characters?! There's merchandise, and the mariachi band ends their set with "Remember Me" (chills - the vocals and harmonizing are beautiful!) but no characters. No Elena for the littles, either, though she does have a meet and greet at Magic Kingdom. You can meet Donald Duck, though. We sampled some nachos and overrated queso from La Cantina de San Angel. No flavor, no kick. They do have inexpensive kids meals though. Seating is recommended for Illuminations at the end of the night, but people claim tables early. I was a little too dehydrated and hot for a margarita, and La Cava de Tequila was too busy for me to try the avocado margarita anyway. Expect to drop between $10 and $15, maybe more, for a margarita no matter where you get it. read more

Margaritas! Need I say more? Ok, I'll say a little more..... they also have a cool temple looking restaurant that had some bomb guac, chips and salsa. They were actually closing up so couldn't offer us any of the regular dishes but did offer up the guac and salsa....and after a few hours of work in the morning and a few hours of strolling the park after that ....these snacks were better than any fine dining establishment. Did I mention margaritas? Lastly, we say the firework show from this pavilion and it was a wonderful view! It wasn't too crowded, and we could almost get right up to the guard rail, or hang back and see them once they are high in the air. Great decor as is the case with all things Disney - and deff worth snooping around while checking out Epcot. Oh and get a margarita! read more

I'm one of those Disney nuts and have been to DisneyWorld about 10-12 times in my life (and I've never lived in FL). EPCOT is one of my favorite places to visit and unfortunately their Mexico Pavilion is a let down. Inside the "Mayan temple" is a courtyard filled with wagons displaying tacky Mexican souvenirs and a cheesy overpriced restaurant overlooking the beginnings of a themed boat ride. The ride itself is a paean to Donald Duck (of all things!) as he whisks by photos of Acapulco in the 70's and singers in Mexican restaurants. It is a shame because Mexico is a beautiful diverse country with so much to see. Plus, it could use some genuinely good publicity. I wish Disney would create a "Soarin'" type experience that explores the natural and architectural wonders of Mexico and replace out that lame boat ride. read more

Skip the margarita carts outside and head to the bar inside the temple. There you will find some out of this world margarita flavors (they even have avocado and horchata flavors) along with a full bar mostly filled with any tequila you could ask for. Once you finish sipping and shopping the stalls inside hop on the boat ride in the back corner for a bit of relaxation and reprieve from the crowds. If you're hungry but not looking to spend a ton the restaurant right across from the temple makes some flavorful spicy nachos and the portion is pretty big especially for $10. read more

The Mexico Pavilion is neat, but not as entertaining as the other pavilions in the World Showcase. The most impressive thing about the Mexican Pavilion is the building itself. Styled after El Castillo, it is an impressive looking structure. Inside is far less impressive. The interior of this pavilion is filled with souvenirs, a boat ride and large Mexican Restaurant. The souvenirs range from cheap gaudy crosses and ceramics to very expensive jewelry and woodcarvings. My favorites were the woodcarvings done in the traditional style, but they were a bit outside of my price range. The boat ride is similar to the "Small World" ride, but with Donald Duck as the main character. Expect lots of old school animatronics. It is a good, air conditioned break, but not worth a long wait. One thing that I did find odd about this pavilion is that entering, exiting and perusing were all a bit unorganized and chaotic. Thee entrance on to the main floor is two ramps with one on each side of the building. As there is no clear entrance or exit ramp, people are continually traveling in both directions. This, coupled with the darkness inside make for lots of human traffic jams. I found it more difficult traveling with small children as it was difficult for the crowds to see them. It isn't impossible to navigate, but I think more light, or a designated entrance and exit would help. I am sure I will be back on my next visit, but Mexico will not be a "must see" for me. read more

Disappointment. There are changes taking place at the Epcot World Showcase and Mexico had been hit hardest. Norway will follow. The Living Seas exhibit has also been hit. Epcot was, as I recall from visits 30 years ago, about world relations, the environment, energy use and mankind's journey on this little blue planet. It was educational and fostered the idea that the more we know about each other on an international level, the more we will understand about each other and the more we will cooperate with one another. Thirty years ago and for the next fifteen years we made annual treks to Disney and Epcot. Our kids outgrew those trips and we have returned with our first grandchild. Epcot, it seems is slowly being taken over, in terms of theme, by the Magic Kingdom. The Mexico Pavilion originally had a ride which was always a favorite because it expressed the dramatic pre-Columbian history and beautiful modern culture of our closest neighbor, Mexico. The exhibit in the anteroom, featuring ancient stone calendars and sculptures, is small but still remains. The ride is now a mad capped cacophony of Donald Duck (The Three Caballeros) chase scenes, and shows nothing educational, nothing really, of who and what the Mexican people are. It's fun for little kids but does nothing for those who thought Epcot was about learning. This current ride belongs in the Magic Kingdom, and not at Epcot's World Showcase. The Norway Pavilion ride, about its rich nautical early history and today's role as a major energy producer, is in the process of a "Frozen" makeover. read more

This is probably my favorite country in the World Showcase. There are a few dining options but I've only ever eaten at the outside quick service location that has just what I need to nosh as I start my journey around the world. The margaritas at the margarita bar inside are so yummy. Also when you can catch the mariachi band outside it really takes you to Mexico. Inside the "ruin" it is dark and the Attention to detail is great with the decor. Of course there are authentic Mexican souvenirs and there is also a cute little boat ride which never has a wait. I love to spend time walking around here sipping a margarita. Next I'll have to try a sit down meal. It's hard for me to sit down at the world showcase I just want to try everything! read more

I'm glad this is right at the front of the world showcase because it makes it easy for me to sneak away to it. Margaritas are phenomenal. I love Donald's serape. The ring carver makes my favorite souvenirs. The 3 Caballeros ride is adorable. I love that they recently added Coco to the pavilion. The mariachi band is great. This is a hidden gem, because the restaurant inside it fantastic! It's such a cool experience. You feel like you are sitting outside at night beside a river and can see a volcano in the distance . If you have a dining plan you can get a virgin pina colada for the kids or yourself with your meal, and they are wonderful!! We like to use the Disney app and get a reservation ahead of time, otherwise it can be very hard to get a table here. We love the steak.The whole experience is fantastic and while you're waiting for your food you can take the three Caballero boat ride. It's definitely something your family won't forget. read more

This is one of my favorite indoor attractions within Epcot's World Showcase. It provides an indoor boat ride, Mexican sit-down restaurant, a private (and usually empty) bathroom and meet and greet with Donald Duck right by the entrance. There's also a "Kidcot" stop. The pyramid is air conditioned and is a lovely break from walking around in the heat and direct sun (or pouring rain). The ride is great, too! During the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, the Mexican Pavilion always has delicious snack foods and special margaritas, too, which are awesome. There's also a nice patio area that overlooks the lagoon with nachos, tacos and cold Modelo Especial. A very nice stop along your trip around the World Showcase. read more

This is my favorite pavilion. I love looking at the Mexican art and I usually end up buying some sort of chocolate or tamarind candy. The tequila bar is nice if there is not a huge line coming out of it. My family and I enjoy going on the Three Caballeros ride. I have eaten at the restaurant by the volcano a few times; I really love the atmosphere and the authentic food. They do not have tex-mex, it is legitimate Mexican food with lots of flavor. read more

The Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT has one of the best public spaces, with its indoor "open air" market under azure blue, perpetually evening sky their waterside indoor restaurant is one of the most romantic spots in the park. The water is the ride at the back, the Three Amigos with Donald Duck, which I hope will roll into a Coco Ride (Listening Imagineers?) They have the wicked tequila bar, the Cave, as well. If you bypass this pavilion you're missing out! read more

Probably my favorite place of all of Epcot! As soon as you walk into this section you have the best nachos to your rights in a fantastic strawberry daiquiri to your left! This was Heaven! This pavilion is a contrast of styles. As you approach, you see the native based pyramid. Of itself, it is a really cool work of architecture. Upon entrance of the pavilion, you notice dim lighting and a valcano and pyramid in the back of what appears to be a cavernous room. It really isn't cavernous. More Disney magic. There is a boat ride starring the Three Caballeros. As you make your way to the ride, you pass by what looks to be a miniature version of a Mexican market. There is a bar, a restaraunt, and several shops with Mexican themed goods. You can find authentic pinatas, festive Day of the Dead festival decorations, and other cultural themed goods. There are even artists and craftsmen, or craftswomen as they man be, working on site. The ride, itself, is a fun and festive "tour" of different parts and events of Mexico. It is a gentle slow ride. Think Small World for Epcot. There are even some Small World style dolls singing songs in one part. Overall, Mexico is one of my favorite pavilions at World Showcase. It is fun, with colorful cultural goods. The ride is a fun break. The decor and architecture make you feel like you entered a different world. read more

Epcot is my favorite Disney park. Nothing makes me happier than drinking my way around the world. Our first stop is always for a Fiesta Margarita in Mexico. Then we ride the Three Caballeros. I love the new upgrade to the ride, and the gifts section inside always has fun stuff. The restaurant inside has seating service and very good food. They only have one vegetarian option though, so we don't eat here often. The counter service outside of the main building has great nachos, chips and chorizos. Plenty of seating outside here, and a great spot to have a beer and watch the fireworks show at the end of the night. We have yet to eat at the new addition restaurant next to the counter service, mainly because I don't think they have any vegetarian options. read more

Oh, gosh, this place is crazy! It whirls at a pace the rest of Epcot never sees! It was like walking into a drunken bachelorette party at "On The Border"! Lots of sound and movement and chaos. We were trying to make our way to the "Gran Fiesta" ride and had to push our way past so many people, and carts and tables. It was so dark that we held hands to stay together. The ride was fun but fighting our way out wasn't. You are probably better going when the festival is over! read more

There's a cute little restaurant in here, but my favorite part about this place is the little ride hidden in the back left corner. If you never explored inside here, you would never know there was a little boat ride. The Gran Fiesta tour follows Donald Duck and his pals around to all these crazy places while they get into trouble. Cool little ride to relax in to get out of the sun for a while. I hear the Tequila is good here too, but I've yet to take them up on it. read more

The service was great, i mean come its disney, they wouldn't have it any other way... the food was not good at all and it was over priced, but what i thought was strange was there was no kid menu's. didnt like that either. It is very loud in there too, there is a ride right next to the restaurant and everyone in the line sees your eat. didnt like that! read more
