The margaritas are amazing, and strong! The chicken fajitas were great, especially for the price. My son's order came out wrong, but was fixed immediately. The manager offered us a $5.00 discount, which was completely unnecessary since they fixed the mistake so fast, but was a testament to the good service. My husband and friend's meals were good, but just like any other American-Mexican restaurant north of Texas. I would go back when in the area and recommend this place to others. Finally! A "real" Mexican restaurant in the Mid Atlantic! ...and we know our Mexican restaurants. We're from Texas. We appreciate a good salsa, a crispy tortilla chip, and a good margarita. A word about the margarita...it glows. But don't worry - that flush you'll have isn't radioactivity, just the effects of the spicy salsa you'll be drinking straight out of the bowl! It's that good! Generally, we like things a bit hotter/spicier than most, but my husband (the "pepper belly") can season his dish to his own taste with the authentic habanero hot sauce that's on the table. For me, everything is perfectly seasoned and nothing needs to be added. My own favorite is the Pollo Fiesta - a thinly cut chicken breast smothered in grilled vegetables and their yummy white queso. Even the refried beans and rice are tasty and perfectly complement the chicken. Hubby likes the crispy tacos (with seasoned ground beef), and usually samples from my plate, too. Even then, there's enough to take home to reheat for lunch the next day. It's a bit of a drive for us to make it for dinner very often, but a real treat when we drive back from BWI after a trip home to Texas. I recently moved to the Calvert area so I'm up for checking out all the local establishments. I had passed by this restaurant several times and every time it looks soo packed, which is a good sign for me. My husband and I eat a lot of Mexican food so we were happy to see something close to the house. We have been once and I have to say that I'm a fan. They have a weeknight happy Hour from 3-7 offering food and drinks. We ordered the Shrimp / Chicken Combo and it came sizzling hot with all the sides and warm tortillas. The chips were homemade and salsa had a great kick.. Currently I'm into the Queso dips and am addicted to theirs and can't wait to go back. although they look very packed they looked as though they didn't have any waiting. read more

I'm new to the Calvert County area and i drive pass this restaurant everyday and notice the happy hour sign. I gave it a try yesterday and it was not great at all. I ordered a mango margarita and chicken quesadilla. The margarita was OK and i had better quesadillas at Taco Bell. I sent the quesadilla back after one bite. It tasted microwaved and it's very tiny. The cheese tasted CHEAP. No sour cream or pico included. I will never return here. Waste of my time. Also, they have no happy hour menu. You have to go down the line asking the server what is a happy hour special and what's not. Also, sangria is not on the happy menu as a drink. That made no sense to me. read more

We eat hear on a sunday with 5 adults and 5 kids. The service was awesome so attentive and handled our mess of people. The Queso was one of the best I have ever had. The salsa and chips were on point as well. The kid eat their food and were happy. The margaritas were really good and huge as well. I did a take out and ofcorse Apollo fiesta is my favorite. It has grilled chicken and vegetables with fresh greens and avocado on the side. Absolutely delicious. I usually go down to the one in the Beach but today I decided to come here since it is closer. What a disappointment.
