Very messy but very worth it. My girlfriend and I have been to Beacon a bunch of times but have always skipped out on these burgers because I usually don't crave burgers. Generally I won't think they're worth the mess but this one proves you wrong. I wouldn't say the sauce or meat has crazy special unique flavors but it is good and don't know what to say other than it's a good burger. Their sister restaurant is Kitchen Sink which we love so idk why we ever doubted this burger. You can choose whatever toppings you want it for no added charge so that's fun (and honestly how it should be). We were able to grab a table right away on a pretty busy Saturday afternoon. Tried this place late Saturday night. It's ok good but I wouldn't return. We had the Double Dutch Burger which was 2/5. The Pattie's were thick and very salty. It was well put together and a lot of food, but not very tasty. Fried Chicken Burger was 2/5. Bland. The Loaded fries would not order again. Cole slaw and chili on fries. It's an odd mix. Satisfying bite after a long road trip! The restaurant has really friendly staff and a little table outside if you want to enjoy your food along a cute stretch of downtown beacon. As others have noted, the fries were crispy but too salty! The burger was tasty and satisfying. I have to say that the service here was outstanding, but I was not as impressed with the food. The coleslaw for starters was just so so and the fries were disappointing. Though what we had was crunchy and nicely fried, all the fries we had were less than an inch long and seemed like they were scraps from the bottom of a bag which makes no sense since their hand cut. So I don't know if they're using the smallest potatoes known to man? The burgers were good but far from the best burgers I've ever had in my life. This place was okay. I wouldn't come back here. The inside of the restaurant was very cramped and had a bad draft. I came here on a cold day. It was 35 degrees out and the front and back door were kept open. The line was long and most people were ordering take out. Once the line subsided the place mostly cleared out. I ordered the NY hamburger and fries. The fries were great and were heavily seasoned (a little too much), but they were good so I continued to eat them. I always order my hamburgers medium. This hamburger came out rate. The center was pink and cold. I sent it back. I gave it to the cashier and said I couldn't eat it. They remade my hamburger and a new one came out within 10 minutes. Tried this place for the first time today. The staff was very helpful with menu and patient. The pork and bacon burger was good. Would've been better with pickles. Fries were good. Seasoned really well and cooked the medium (exactly what I asked for). Fries were crispy and not too dry. The fries sauce is really tasty and different from your regular ketchup, I ended up getting more and putting it in my burger. Order in the front and grab a table, or grab a seat at the bar. I'm not sure how they're "Olde Dutch" but I really don't mind. We stopped in for burgers and my keto diet's vacation began in earnest. A well stocked bar making all sorts of mixed drinks, a few beers on tap and some of the most delicious burgers I've had in a bit. I chose the chili cheeseburger which also comes with cole slaw. we came here after hiking, and we were starving. We were surprised when we went inside because the place doesn't match the name it's very modern and tiny really. I was expecting a big old Inn of some sort. The lady taking orders at the register was not friendly and abrupt. The food was good. The chicken sandwich I thought was very small and I definitely did not like that cheese that they put on it, but if it wasn't for that, it was yummy. I didn't try the burger my friends said it was really good, the fries were really good but too salty. This place has the best burgers in town! You order first before picking somewhere to sit. There's seats inside and outside in the back, which is great for nice weather. The food did take a while to come but they bring it over to wherever you decide to sit. I got New York State Special and was surprised by the cheese. In addition to cheese melted on the patty, there was also a piece of crispy cheese which was amazing and added more texture to the burger. When we walked in, it was a cute little spot. From the Yelp pictures I thought it was bigger place, anyway, we quickly grabbed a table and was told we would have to go to the counter to order our food. The menu was small so I ordered the special of the day which was the grilled chicken sandwich and dirty fries, the food came out fairly quick, the sandwich was very messy but so tasty. The dirty fries were different but it was also pretty tasty. One thing that was different was that you have to get your own napkins and condiments. Excellent burger place, especially for the price. Got the New York State Special burger ($7.50) with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle. You could also have pickled jalapeno added on free if you wanted. Solid burger, cooked fresh and not overcooked. Love the buttery bun, and generous number of free ingredients they pack in. Also got the dirty fries which I highly recommend sharing between 1-2 other people. The pimento cheese was a bit lacking on the fries, but still enjoyed them with the chili and coleslaw. If you share the fries, you could easily leave this place stuffed and happy for just $10, which compared to many of the other places on Main Street in Beacon, is a pretty good deal. They have a spacious outdoor patio area in the back, but we decided to still eat indoors because there were many bees (not just Meyers, Beacon in general seems to have a bee problem). read more

That was one of the few open places during a regular week day ..not too much to choose for eating around Main Street Beacon .. place it's decent friendly customer service we order the veggie Dutch ..my wife was happy with the flavor and love the regular fries .. but the CUBAN sandwich has nothing to do with the real flavor of a Cuban sandwich.. spicy pepper ?.. wrong bread like a small burger bread ...anyway a little pricey for the size an some disappointing version of a Cuban dish....flavor was good .. just because of that we will not repeat... it feels like false advertisement to me..my humble opinion. read more

Thanks to the pandemic, this place has all their chairs and tables piled up against the wall. This place is too small to safely sit inside. But they are open and accommodating. What brought me here, 25 minutes away from my home, was they responded to my Instagram post of me complaining that no store within thirty miles sold Luxardo Cherries and I was going to have to drive to NJ to buy some since I was trying hard not to have to order online. They have been getting enough of my money. They responded to my post offering to sell me a jar. So off I went and while there I ordered lunch to take out. Remember ? No seating. The burger and fries were cooked perfectly. I liked the fact it was a real sized 1:4 pound burger and not the monstrosities you find at most places- I've seen 8, 10 and 12 ounce burgers. It was flavorful,cooked to perfection as were the fries. All prepared while I waited. I will definitely be heading back to this spot, not for cherries but for the burgers. And I hope they get through these hard times for restaurants and one day I'll be able to sit inside and enjoy a cocktail or two while I eat my meal. read more

Great burgers, sandwiches, and other grub for a post-hike lunch. I think I inhaled my grilled chicken fajita sandwich in less than ten minutes (hunger and sore legs really are the best spice). They have the regular menu of burgers, fries, fried chicken sandwich, and drinks, but they also have some specials, including a crispy tofu sandwich and a veggie Dutch. The day we went, the veggie burger I had my eye on as well as the beet slaw were all sold out. Chicken sandwich was delicious (I especially loved the toasted bun) but I should have eaten this even faster, because the bottom bun got sodden from the juices of all the toppings dripping down. Aside from the chicken, I wasn't sure exactly what I was eating (grilled peppers, some type of cheese, and a little bit of bacon) but it was definitely delicious. Also had some coleslaw on the side - just ok. The guy manning the cashier was very friendly and even brought out a dog bowl for our friends' puppers. The burger was perfect. Cooked to perfection, perfectly juicy and flavorful. It came with grilled onions, lettuce and tomato. The hand cut fries were perfectly seasoned, with a really high quality salt and pepper. I don't think I ever tasted such high quality salts and peppercorns but they were a perfect sprinkle on the fries. The sour beer is very sour. I like sour beers and this felt....like seltzer beer. After hiking the Beacon Trail I needed something hefty and meaty to satiate my hunger, so I stopped by Meyer's for a burger and fries. Employees were friendly and helpful, and brought my food out to me. There's outdoor seating in the back and front. Luckily I was the only one out front so I was able to get a table with an umbrella. Otherwise it would've been unbearably hot. The burger was good with a thick slice of tomato at the bottom, topped with lettuce, onions, jalapeños and pickles. But I think because so many of the toppings were wet, the bottom bun got soggy very quickly. Fries were tasty except half of them were overcooked. He explained the ordering system (order at counter and someone brings you your food) and showed us the menu before we grabbed a seat by the window. We got the dirty fries, a burger and the shawarma special. Holy. Shit. I knew the food would be good based on the Yelp reviews, but damn, I will dream about those friggin fries. VIBE: My favorite burger place on Earth which will remain nameless is in Hawaii. I bring this up because coincidentally , I always feel like I'm being judged in both of these places. It's hard to describe, but I feel like I don't belong. The tone, mannerisms, and facial expressions give it away. I understand why though, this neighborhood keeps changing, seemingly overnight.
