What a terrific find! My friend and I happened upon this place after having coffee across the street, and we're so glad we did. We were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in, and the whole place had a casual, welcoming vibe. I had the curry carrot soup, which was packed with wonderful flavor. My friend and I also shared the hummus--it was incredibly creamy and absolutely delicious. The true star of the show, though, was dessert: the tahini chocolate chip cookie. It was utterly divine and something I'll be dreaming about. Perfectly balanced between savory and sweet, with a texture that was both crispy and creamy. Prices were very reasonable, and the service was genuinely personable, which made the whole experience even better

Meza California is always one of my top choices at the midtown farmers market on Saturday mornings. I love the Za'atar wrap with Labaneh. I often ask them to add some greens, too, like arugula and cilantro. Glad to hear they have a true storefront now (haven't visited yet but hope to soon)!

Overall, pretty good food and really kind Service. My sister and I came on a Thursday night. We are both Mexican and Palestinian and we're really excited to try a place that holds parts of both of our roots! It was 100% empty and pretty quiet in a big space so I was feeling confused as to why it wasn't busier - It made me sad! The food itself was just okay -- there were good flavors combined, but nothing really stood out as unique or overly delicious in the way it was made. I got the hot chocolate, and I really loved the spice at the end, but the flavor of profile while drinking it and sweetness level was pretty plain. I also got the tahini cookie and I actually didn't really like it -- it was a little bit dry and not that great for a chocolate chip cookie overall. The candy tahini on top wasn't really noticeable and it just felt like powdery stuff. I really really liked the texture of the tortilla/flatbread and some of the dips are really good. That was definitely my favorite part of the meal! Especially the yogurt base dip with the spicy chili on the inside. On the inside, it was a little bit industrial, and I could tell that the owner tried to make some really nice touches, but it just felt like it was lacking warmth. I'm sure it didn't help that it wasn't busy either! I really really appreciated this idea and truly want to see this business grow. I'm sure it's really hard getting visibility and I hope that more people can try it so that she can grow the business!

OMG WOW! The batata harra quesadilla is the best thing I've ever eaten. The spices combined with the sweetness of the potato and the slightly chewy bread for the roll WOWOOWOW!! It's everything a girl could ask for. This spot just opened a bit ago and are most commonly in the midtown market! The chefs and staff are all super nice and it has a very welcoming, safe atmosphere. Huge tables too so grey for big groups! The cookie was unlike anything I've had before, the flavor and texture were so good though. Loved the slight crunch from the toppings and the smoothness of all the flavors combined. Parking here can be a hit or miss especially later in the day, you may have to walk or circle but I think it's worth it!

I really wanted to try this place out as I love the story behind the chef/owner and the concept of Mexican-Arab fusion cuisine. First of all, this place is located on 1415 16th St in Midtown Sacramento and former home to Simon's Bar & Cafe. Previously, from what I understand, the shop was a popular fixture as a pop-up in farmer market's and other events around town. Through a program helping entrepreneurs learn about opening and managing a small business/restaurant, She was able to start her shop and eventually land at Simon's former spot. Ambiance: I loved the table covers as they reminded me of the table covers my grandma used to use in her kitchen table back in Mexico. The place was empty, but we were properly welcomed, and the lady behind the counter merrily explained how the we ordered and pay upfront at the register and then sit and wait for our food. So we studied the menu and placed our order. Food: We ordered the Meza platter, Zaa'tar, Batata Harra Quesadilla, the Viva Palestina, the Choco-Chip cookie, the Pan de Elote, and the Sumac Besitos. To drink, we jd the Jamaica Rosada, and the Limonada Arabe. We shared all the grub among 4 of us. The food took a little while, which we did not mind, but it was a bit on the colder side. The flavors, however were an explosion of middle eastern & mediterranean flavors in our mouths. The sampler had lebneh, baba ghanouj, and hummus; they were out of the muhummara, so they doubled in the baba ghanouj. They were also out of the Taco Arabe which I really wanted to try. I guess that is a good thing they are running out of stuff. The food is served as flat bread are served open with the different toppings. All very delicious, but everything felt like we were eating nothing but appetizers- nothing wrong with that, but I hope they are more substantial entrees in the near future. The Jamaica Rosa was delicious with noticeable notes of rose water. The Limonada Arabe was not something I would care to order again; it was a little thick and herby for my liking. The desserts were all amazing, picking a favorite was hard as they are all very different and stars in their own right. I hope at some point they add liquor and more entrees. This concept is so original, the food is so good, and it has so much potential. This is what our foodie-town is all about.

Me and my friend shared a Taco Arabe here it was very flavourfull and unique. Service was excellent they took our order propmtly and made recommendations. Ambiance would need some work but all I care about is flavour of the food which was spot on.

Last night, we finally stopped by to try the food at this amazing spot, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Za'atar, Viva Palestina, Taco Árabe, and Baba Ghanoush with their homemade tomatillo salsa. Every dish was incredibly flavorful, and our server was wonderful! She recommended pairing the dishes with either Toum (a garlicky blend) or Labneh. We're so glad we took her advice, because everything together tasted fantastic. A huge bonus was the kids' corner, which was a lifesaver for us with a busy two-year-old. The warm, welcoming ambiance made the experience even better, and we can't wait to come back. With its focused menu, this place offers a truly great fusion of Mexican and Mediterranean flavors!!

Taco arabe sample + fatayer (spinach pie)

I got to try Meza during this past weekend's Yelp Elite Event at Valensin Vineyard & Winery. Being a Yelp Elite member, all the different popups were offering samples at their booths. I received a free taco arabe sample at Meza and it was sooo good. The pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the arugula and sauce on top paired beautifully with the meat, as well as helping to cut its fattiness. We also bought a little fatayer (spinach pie) as we wanted to support Meza, which was $5. I'm always down to try different cuisines and this was unlike anything I've ever had! As our day at the vineyard progressed, more and more people went to order their wraps for lunch, and they were really efficient at making everything. I wish I had ordered another item from Meza, but I'm sure I'll be back next time they have a popup at a different event! I'm surprised there are no reviews about Meza to be completely honest. Their food is goooood. It was the most beautiful & peaceful day and I'm glad Meza was able to be part of my first ever Yelp Elite event!

Last time we were there I thought I was able to get just plain tortillas from the tortillas lady spot. But she looked confused then I asked for a few flour tortillas. She asked what meat I wanted to make street tacos. That's fine the pork tasted very good. But I like plain tortillas with the eggs and other dishes. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I guess next time we will ask the server. We started with the omelets this time. Very good and well made. We tried many things, hard to take pictures. The portions have been cut in 1/2 for a lot of menu items here over the last 5 years namely the chimichangas but seems like everything else too. The chimichangas used to be twice the size they are now and were loaded with cheese. Now they have no cheese and 1/2 the filling so there mostly flour tortilla now. Very disappointing and the plates they use now are smaller, they used to serve the food on these huge platters. Anyway went there last night (1st time in 3 years) and this is the plate I got. The 2 chimichangas are now the same size as the tamale on the other side of the plate. The service was terrible too. We did not get our food until almost an hour and by the time the food showed up we were full from the chips and bean dip and salsa wich by the way we had to wave them down several times as we seemed invisible to refill the chips and our drinks. We wont be going back again for probably another 3 years. I highly recommend Felipe's in Citrus heights on Auburn blvd. Way better value and the food quality is on par with el tapatio but with five star service!

It's always been a busy place and sometimes hard to get into before a show, but the service was always great. This time we sat outside, which actually had a really nice view of the Golden 1 entrance. Our waiter was really nice and courteous, but it was pretty obvious he was doing the job of about three people. He did the best he could and stayed friendly the whole time, but when you're spread that thin it's hard to stay on top of drinks, food coming out, checking on tables, etc. We didn't really hold that against him because it seemed much more like a staffing issue than anything he was doing wrong. One of the things I've always liked about Polanco is their carafe of Palomas. We ordered one at the bar and then another at the table. When we got the bill, we noticed an extra charge for four cups. After looking at it again, we realized that after paying $48 for a carafe, you're also being charged for the cups you drink it out of. That is honestly one of the most ridiculous charges I've ever seen at a restaurant. I've always really liked this place, so it was disappointing. Being short staffed is one thing, but that's a management issue, not the waiter's fault. Charging people extra for cups after they just bought a $48 carafe of cocktails is just wild. This review does not refer to their food, ambiance, decor or staff. Unfortunately this has to do with under staffing (managing issue) and now charging for CUPS
