Three chicken appetizer. Tandoori chicken leg, tandoori kebab and Afghani chicken.
    John K.

The ambiance was nice. The service was very good and the food was delicious. We had the chicken korma which was very good. We had the three chicken appetizer that had tandoori chicken kebab, Afghani chicken, and a bone in tandoori chicken leg. It was topped with delicious French fries that had some sort of Indian spices. That was my favorite part.

The food was excellent! We had chicken, lamb and goat dishes. They were all delicious! The service was very good. Some of the best Indian food we have had in Portland. We will definitely be back.

Get the chili mushroom. Just do it. Excellent space, yummy food, kind owners. The owner is patient and helpful. I drive from Vancouver, WA to come and eat here in Portland. Several Indo-Chinese appetizer options on this menu! The flavors and textures of everything stood apart from other Indian restaurants I've been to in Portland and Washington.

Some of the best Indian food I've ever had! The samosas were flaky and flavorful, a little spicy in a good way. The butter chicken was the best I've ever had. So flavorful and complex, with very fresh seasoned rice. I'm not a huge meat eater and the chicken melted in my mouth. My husband and I are now obsessed. With how amazing the butter chicken was I had to order Kheer to go, and it also exceeded my expectations, sweet but has such a fragrant flavor. Our waitress was so sweet, and we had very quick service. We will be returning!

Came here for lunch and the variety was great. Eat item had a distinct taste and most were delicious. Personally I would preferred more spices but I expect they cater to a different crowd at lunch downtown. The service was very friendly and everything I didn't know was explained to me. Seriously the two vegetarian meatballs I ate were so good that if I wasn't told there were no meat I would never know. The place is nice and open and you can see a nice corner of downtown.

THE BEST INDIAN FOOD IVE EVER HAD!!!!!! You need to come to this place to get your fix of Indian because not only are the portions big but the food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! Masala cheese fries were 10/10 and the lamb and chicken vindaloo were phenomenal. Service was a really sweet Indian man and the vibe of the place was chill!

This is a hidden gem in the Portland area! The service was friendly and fast. And the overall feel of the restaurant felt upscale yet comfortable. The food was out of this world delicious with the perfect balance of flavors. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in Indian food.

Phenomenal tasting food. Fresh and delicious. We were afraid we would get americanized Indian food, but the food was very authentic.

The kati roll was especially perfect well-seasoned, nicely wrapped, and satisfying without feeling heavy. The tikka bowl was also really good, with great balance of spices and textures. There's…read moredefinitely a part of me that misses pre-pandemic era when lunch buffets were common place and this place is only a few blocks from my office. I got there a little after 11:30. The sign said the buffet started at 11:30 but they weren't ready, so I had to wait a little bit. Not a big deal, especially when a place is trying something new. It gave me an opportunity to check out the space. Like a lot of Indian restaurants, it's a little over the top, with the decor pushing towards opulent but not in an overly stuffy way. The buffet was setup along the bar top, and it was clear they were still figuring it out. Instead of chafing dishes and sternos, they were using electric warming trays and setting out the cookware on top of them. Price wise, it's $20, which feels like the going rate these days (i.e. it's the same as Namaste). That being said, the smaller setup and the individually cooked items meant a way higher quality of food. There was a chicken curry, mushroom magic, a daal, chicken tikka, gulab jamun and a handful of other items including a fusion quesadilla with chicken and pieces of fried paneer. The curry was fine, nothing special. The daal (I think tadka?) was a little thinner than I prefer and a slightly over-seasoned, but was good even with the over seasoning. The mushroom magic was good, but the real spotlight was the chicken tikka. With everything being prepared in smaller batches than the stereotypical buffet, this was the moistest chicken tikka I ever had, and the texture and flavor far exceeded anything I would expect from a buffet. They did bring out fresh naan, but that felt like something they were doing since it was still new/slow, i.e. they had naan on the buffet line too. The only thing I would have liked would have beeen some achar, but I'm sure that puts me in a very small slice of potential customers. Definitely see myself coming back here, and ideally dragging along some of my coworkers. tl;dr; smaller buffet with incredible quality due

We decided to try the thali, thinking it would give us a chance to sample multiple curries. At $60, we assumed we were getting two individual thalis--one per person. To our surprise, it turned out to be a single plate meant to be shared between two. That was definitely disappointing, especially since we arrived hungry and expected a more substantial meal for that price. For context, most Indian restaurants typically serve a thali per person in the $12-15 range. The food itself was just okay. A couple of the curries were decent, while others didn't quite hit the mark. That said, we still finished everything simply because we were starving. One positive was our host--Deepak, I believe--who was friendly and had a great sense of humor. I genuinely appreciated his service, though I regret not leaving a bigger tip because I left feeling like the value for money just wasn't there. The ambiance was average, nothing special, and parking was a real hassle. Street parking was tough to find.
