I love having lunch here whenever I'm at Fair Oaks Mall. I always select the junior bowl, which is the perfect portion. It comes with 4 toppings and a dressing. The staff who started the bowl was super friendly and inviting. She provided suggestions for anyone who was unsure/confused. I selected the spicy chicken, rice, lentils, spicy harissa and a few other items. This is a kid's bowl, but truly is the perfect portion. It also came with a warm pita bread. There is plenty of seating in the establishment as well as outdoor seating. Would I return? of course! read more

If you are looking to try something different style of chipotle style meal, this is it. One of my friends decided to grab a lunch from there. This location is right inside the mall, which makes it convenient tired parents and screaming children after a long day of shopping. In terms of food they have 3-4 types of meats, greens, grain and Mediterranean style toppings. You have option to create your own bowl or pick from one of their signature bowls and or wraps. The taste was average, nothing out of the ordinary. It is better than chipotle due to variety and more healthy options. I got shawarma bowl and it tasty. The sitting arrangement is a lot like chipotle with stools and some small tables and chairs. The ambience and furniture can use an upgrade for sure. Service was fast and poised, no Smiles what so ever but I get it working in the mall on a weekend can be brutal. Overall, I am abit health conscious so this a better alternative than chipotle with more toppings. I will come back again and try it. read more

Standard Mezeh attached right next to the mall. As usual, can't go wrong with this kind of pick. A filling bowl of nice ingredients that don't break your wallet. No issues - service was the usual. I went to this location to get some dinner with my friend. As I was ordering I noticed the guy, who was the elderly gentleman, was literally giving me a quarter scoop of every topping I was ordering. While I looked back at my friend's bowl and people behind him, everyone was getting full scoops of everything they were ordering. One of ladies made a face when I asked if that's normal for there to be that little and leaned into another lady to whisper a comment. I've been eyeing this restaurant since it is similar to CAVA, so I tried it for the first time. I walked in and it wasn't packed or busy. I ordered the falafel classic mixed with chicken shwarma and a few other toppings. For some reason, I was given a little bit of dressing and the portions weren't really hefty. I wish that I requested more dressing because my salad tasted quite dry. The falafel was also very dry. The staff were friendly but that's not enough to persuade me to come back and purchase food from here again. I've gotten heftier portions at Chipotle and CAVA compared to Mezeh. read more

How did we not discover mezeh sooner? The portions, price, and overall experience is so much better than cava. Cava's sole focus is growing share price now so the food quality, quantity are all terrible. If you like the food though, mezeh is a great alternative. The staff is very pleasant/patient. So this is very different from what I'd typically eat. I get apprehensive with build a bowl restaurants but I decided to give it a shot. I got a bowl and tried the veggie kofta and chicken kabob. There were so many sides I was a little Overwhelmed but the staff let me know what was what and it had signs and an allergens menu: I really really enjoyed this, it felt light and still very filling. I'm so glad this is here. Absolutely delicious Mediterranean/Lebanese food. My recommendation is the hot chicken bowl. This has so many healthy and fresh ingredients. Also it will provide real sustenance. This is my preferred lunch place, and the bread served with the entrees is quite good. You get good portions, and eating healthy at the same time, is a winning combination. Yes I do like the stand alone ones more, but still happy it's in the mall here. It is still comfortable and relaxing. Sometimes it can get busy, but the employees do their best to keep pace. As for seating it's quite good, although I like the wooden bar set up, as usually am dining alone. The entire restaurant is immaculately clean. Ah Mezeh Mediterranean Grill in FairFax Mall is 10/10. The decor in this fast food joint is very modern and funny enough reminds of Amazon. If you've been to a sweet greens or a chipotle and are looking for a Mediterranean version you've got it here! This location is in Fair Oaks mall with a decent sized patio and PLENTY of parking. The service was so friendly, as usual I took a bit of time trying to figure out what I wanted to order and the team was very patient with me. Big plus the restaurant was also spotless, unlike other fast food joints where tables tend to have a bit of stickiness to them. What sets them apart from other similar chains are the topping options - everything I ordered tasted so fresh and my bowl just had some beautiful color to it. Can't wait to return! Visited this location today for the first time in ages. With the online order, there are 3 choices to get your order; delivery, grab and go, and curbside pickup. I chose Curbside Pick up. When I entered my car make and color information for my order, I entered a wrong info. I forgot I was driving my wife's car and entered my own car info. So I got out and went into the store to pick up my order. :) There were some people lining up to order but keeping social distance and no one was eating in. The grab and go shelf was right inside the entrance and it was very clearly marked. I felt safe in the store and I will probably come back to do the 'grab and go' next time, since I can't remember which car I am driving any more. ;) The food was very good as always. The quality has really gone down here. The reason I'd give them 4 instead of 3 is that although the quality isn't as good, the employees aren't rude. Here's a summary of the last 4 times I had Mezeh: - Cashier doesn't speak much English, so when I scanned my app, she acted as if it worked (to get my points) even after I asked, instead of saying she didn't understand/asking for help. - Never order Mezeh through the delivery app, the first and only time I did that, I literally had 5 pieces of chicken in my bowl. My husband noticing them doing the same thing when packing a delivery order once while in the restaurant. You also dont't get your points when ordering through the app. I come to Mezeh for the variety of toppings I can get in my bowl and because they have crispy falafels, but I've since returned to their competition. Then the vegetable of choice, starch of choice, one protein and then any of whatever is on the left side of the protein selection!!! My go to is the chicken shawarma over a mix of brown rice or pilaf and mixed greens with lots of toppings. There's plenty to choose from but I highly recommend adding the cilantro hummus to your meal (yum). My favorite dressings are the harissa, lemon garlic, and cilantro vinaigrette. Never, Never, Never, place a catering order with them. I placed a catering order with them after a lot of run around. I wanted to place the order after talking to a live person so that I could get their suggestions. But hell no. Noone picks up the phone on the catering line. I went physically to fair oaks store, and they said they do not take catering orders. Then I paced it online as I know that their food tastes good. When I went to pick up they did not have any arugula (part of my order - they did not offer substitution). And then, one of the over-experienced staff told me that Veg. Kefta and Falafel are one and the same thing (and these guys work in a Mediterranean food restaurant). So I had to live with only a dump of one protein instead of the two proteins that I had to pay. Then I checked the items placed in my bag against the order and there we were, two missing items. So Never again I am placing a catering order. I would rather just go there and get what I want in front of my eyes. Run away from them if you are catering. read more
