Mezeh is a fast casual restaurant in the heart of the financial district. I stopped by here for a quick late lunch after working most of the afternoon. I ordered a mezeh classic bowl which has white basmati rice, spicy chicken shawarma, spicy hummus, tzatziki dip, Lebanese tabbouleh, red cabbage slaw, corn salsa, sumac cucumbers, carmalized eggplant, and pickled turnips. Such a colorful bowl! ($12.29) A great price for what you get which could be two meals in one. This was packed with flavor and I loved every second of it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also felt so much joy by the colors and light decor in here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was so nice and accommodating!

Overall pretty good. It's a similar concept as Cava where you can create your own bowl and ask for as many toppings as you want. I came right at opening. I will say though that the rice was way overcooked and was mushy and questionable, and the lemon garlic sauce wasnt mixed well, but I still enjoyed the meal.

Stopped in here for lunch after getting my $16 haircut down the block. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place looks beautiful, in the inside there's Mediterranean art and mosaic tiles. In the middle you have a big table with stools and gorgeous lamps.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This place was really something. The food was delicious and fresh kinda like a chipotle but make it Mediterranean. Lots of food choices here and toppings galore. I ordered the bowl with chicken, spinach, black beans and a few other toppings, with a water that came out to about $17. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only thing they need to work on is that front door. They need a vestibule to block out the cold air, if you are sitting in any booth on that strip in the front you will feel the breeze everytime that door opens.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Brrr.. Sit anywhere else if you mind.

Lovely packaging and huge portions. I had a Uber eats deal buy one get 1 free so I saved the other for lunch the next day. They gave a lot of extra pitas and sauces in the order. Flavorful and fresh. Healthy option.

Super great addition to the fast casual spots in the area!! I stopped by mezeh at around 8:30pm on a Friday and was served super quickly. I was in and out in like 5 minutes. They have lots of seating in the restaurant, everything was very clean, and the space is huge!! The tables and decor were nice and they could even seat larger groups as well. The service was very nice as well! Extremely kind, and they didn't make me feel rushed at all. The food was delicious-- I can't rave enough about it. The dips and toppings were very flavorful. I loooveeeeddd the spicy hummus, baba ganoush, and pickled cauliflower/carrots. The proteins stood out especially! I got half chicken shawarma and half falafel in my bowl. There were some other dips and toppings I would've liked to try, but I didn't want to trouble them to bring them out so close to closing. Can't wait to go back to try the whole spread, perhaps a wrap or pita pocket too!!!

a good spot for a quick Mediterranean meal! I stopped by one night as I was looking for a more casual spot to grab a quick bite that wasn't fast food and this place was great! it reminded me of cava with the build your own bowls & pitas but the topping choices were a bit different. I was too lazy to build my own so I chose the mezeh classic which came w everything I liked! I asked the worker if I was able to add stuff on but I think there was a language barrier so I'm still not sure of the answer, but I was still happy w what came in my bowl! I saw that there was no chicken shawarma when I sat down to eat it and the worker quickly resolved this issue and gave me three large scoops of chicken! I was very impressed by the customer service and the food itself, which was bursting with flavor! I do wish I could've added different sauces but it was still good! the portion was very generous as well and lasted me 2 meals! I think I'll try to order my own bowl next time to make it more customizable though.

Lemon garlic kebab grain bowl with undercooked chicken.

I dropped by today to pick up a lemon garlic kebab grain bowl. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior seemed nice and clean with vibrant colors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The vegetable ingredients and meat looked fresh and seasoned well, so II was excited to try out the food once I got back to my desk. Unfortunately my chicken kebab pieces were undercooked and still pink. The search continues for tasty Mediterranean food....

The over all experience was alright. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was 8pm so it was not busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Good portion and seem you can pick more than other salad places before it goes over extra.. flavor of everything was subtle in taste which is good since it might not have a lot of sharp but having sharp taste at other salad places you get thrown off for a sec. It wouldn't be my go to spot but if Iam feeling cheaper I might go home. Almost same price as competition. Even the juice did not have enough sugar but it was good. I do t mind it just giving review so one can know what they are about o get into. $13.15 for the big bowl and then $3 for drink which they have 4 flavors.

Very bad falafel salad, cold dry falafels, like they'd all been made in a big batch hours earlier.

Food is ok very small portions on the protein. Food doesn't taste fresh for some reason. For $15-17 you can get more elsewhere.

Nothing fancy, just delicious food for an unbelievable price. When you walk into this large spacious "cafeteria" with steam trays, it looks clean and quiet. There was a lady at the cash register that wasn't too helpful, but I guess the communication barrier played a part. At $8.99 per pound, you can really fill up here for an insanely good price. My favorites have been the beef dishes and therefore often skip all the chicken items. However, feel free to make a plate anyway you like. At the end of the day, I'm sure it'll be great.

The spicing can be quite different from other styles of cuisine, but whether or not you like it is a personal decision. I liked most of the food that was offered. I found the baked chicken to be excellent. The stewed chicken and the goat dish were also very good. Vegetables are all excellent...from greens to cabbage to carrots...all are delicious. The whole fish has a distinctive strong taste that took some getting used to...perhaps a lot of paprika and red pepper, but I'm not really sure...certainly a nice portion size. Staff is very friendly and hospitable. Highly recommended.

So thoughtful, and such a great touch to start the evening for us. We decided to order the family style menu and we enjoyed the whole dinner. All of the dishes on the menu were really good and great price for $74pp. I wish we had a 4th in our party so we couldve had the duck, but we'll definitely be returning to do so. The dips were so good and so fresh! I think all of the dishes were perfectly seasoned. I get sad when dishes are overly seasoned or overly salty. The cheese is on the lighter side and the textural combination is nice, sort of like a baklava cheesecake but crispier and lighter. I like heavier cheesecakes though. Drinks: golden negroni was spot on, but didn't like the sangria. They had a medjool cocktail that went off the menu to my disappointment. Appetizers: the octopus carpaccio was the best and I'd order again. The tuna tartare was a little too heavy on the sauce flavor, and the golden beets were unmemorable. The yellowtail was good I think, but didn't stand out either. Mains: the duck borek has more of a sausage like meat texture. I thought it was decent but the meat being duck didn't do much and I've had better boreks in Astoria. It comes with a vegetable side that is a nice offset. I tried a friend's lamb chops and this was really good with the cooked cherries.

I had the classic Tonkatsu Ramen, with an egg - The pork ws seared and still so tender! The broth was very flavorful. My husband has a salmon rice bowl, and he loved it. He said the fish was cooked perfectly! We started with veggie gyoza, and they do them in a very interesting way. Very flat and all fried together. We were surprised when they brought them, but they were awesome! we were. fan of this style almost immediately! The waiter gently recommended the pork gyoza (his preference) but not everyone at the table eats meat, so we stayed with the vegetable. There was a short wait, but from what I could see, a variety of tables here and seating. Not the biggest place, dark, intimate, wood accents and small spotlights over tables. We ordered buns and spicy edamame to start. It seemed like we had just ordered when the food came out. Love that. Buns were incredibly good - a close second to a joint in Chicago we ate at last weekend. Succulent meat, plenty of sauce, and just the usual pillowy bun. The edamame didn't seem spicy at first - then my face melted. Still good but a deep burning spiciness to them as advertised. For my entree I got the beef miso ramen, adding corn and an egg. The corn wasn't just a pile of kernels - but a side slice of a cob. Cool presentation. Beef was good and the broth soothed my soul. Top 10 ramen places I've been - well done.

A classic NYC hole-in-the-wall, this place is almost designed to be missed. Blink, check your phone, or dodge one too many pedestrians, and you've walked right past it. Try not to, it's worth the stop. Pricing sits a little on the higher side for a combo, but let's be honest - this is New York. The burgers are bold, satisfying, and built to impress. I went for the chicken and veggie sandwiches, both dressed with a mango lime sauce that genuinely were very flavorful. The tomato aioli on the side was another win. And the fries? Crispy, golden, and dusted with a Cajun-meets-Indian spice blend that somehow makes complete sense and zero sense at the same time - in the best way. It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor.
