What a wild experience. My wife and I have enjoyed coming to this location for some time and have always had a great experience. Today we walked in at 8pm (closes at 9) to be yelled at by the young lady behind the counter "we're closed!" But then said we could place a mobile order..what kind of shenanigans are we pulling here?

Chimichurri Steak

The Chimichurri Steak salad is delicious every single time. I cannot convince myself to get anything different because I love it that much. Service is super quick even when the line is long. The staff has been friendly every single time I've been there even when there are a lot of people waiting.

Delicious salad. Very fresh ingredients and restaurant felt very clean. Would have been nice to have some tables for seating. Salad was big enough for 2-3 people.

Great service. Everyone was nice and worked quickly. I ordered a preset salad but had no problems swapping out ingredients. I will definitely be coming again.

Chimichanga Steak Salad with Avocado and Falafel.

The Scarlet Vetter says......not a whole lot to report on here. While out of town for travel, our business team decided to order from this facility for our lunch via Uber eats. I ordered the chimichanga steak salad with extra avocado and falafel. I would say the salad was mediocre. There was very little steak in it. The avocados did not present attractively, and the falafel was buried at the bottom of the salad. Thus, by the time we received the order from the Uber eats delivery driver, the falafel was soggy. At first, I did not even think that they put the falafel in the salad until I was digging around in the salad and found some of the falafel balls on the bottom. The delicious green salad dressing saved this review. It was superb. I might try this place again and see whether this was just an anomaly or standard fare as others in my group said they had eaten from this facility before, and the salads are generally very good.

This is my go to salad place that's close to my apartment. They're always quick with the order and the quality is always consistent! They also keep the place very clean. Highly recommend for a quick bite!

I was very pro Chop & Go when I noticed it popped up on John St. last year. I loved their spicy cauliflower salad. HOWEVER, I tried to go again 3+ times this year. Mediocre salads and disgusting food conditions to say the least. One time I saw a bug flying around the salad toppings. Another time, a worker had their friend meeting them and was more concerned with talking across the room, breathing all over the salad, and without wearing a mask or harinet, while shouting to their friend across the room. If they did wear gloves (I think they did?) that would be the best thing I had to say as of late. 1. Please bring back the spicy cauliflower salad 2. Clean more and present better ingredients.

Avocago (GF) with white cheddar and spicy chicken

This place is such a hidden gem. We go to this place once a week and it's such a great salad. huge salad bowl, lots of meat, and lots of delicious toppings already included in their specialty salads. Unlike other spots, they're really generous with the meat and special additions (like cheese). My personal favorite is the avocago and I have to the dressing just hits different. A perfect, healthy lunch spot.

Ordered delivery from here , would not order again. Nothing bad but nothing to rave about - too many other great competitors out there and this place didn't cut it . Chicken tasted tough yet mushy - just no . Def skip meat if you are dining here !

Love this place - only issue is they don't accept credit card tips! The staff deserves this.

Decent food and good portions. It could be better if they gave 1 piece of bread with each salad.

This is the main reason why I get food from here every once in a blue moon, like when they offer the buy one get one free special. That's when I really take advantage. The unique seating area is charming, though limited, and don't get me wrong, the wraps that I've tried so far were delicious! They're just not $14 - $17 delicious lol. The staff here are friendly and seem cool. They make the wraps right in front of you and it's quite a cool process to watch. Each wrap is made from a homemade dough, heated on a hot iron dome and then filled with fresh and one of a kind ingredients. All of the wraps are rich with antioxidants and made with natural ingredients. My favorites: Dire Wolf (fried chicken wrapped in ginger dough, lamb bacon, melted cheddar, green papaya slaw, spicy pickled shika peppers, wolf ketchup) The Beast (grilled steak wrapped in turmeric dough, bbq crunch, blue cheese, marinated green olives, cilantro, red chili mayo) They have opened several locations over the years since I first tried them. Because of their unique wrap concept I can understand why. There's definitely a niche for them in this super tough NYC restaurant business.

((4.5 stars)) Sunny…read moreand Annie's is very much a 24/7 neighborhood gem of a corner store and deli. it's packed with packaged foods--candy, chips, cookies, ice cream, soft drinks, beer, and a lot more plus the deli counter serves ups an endless list of creative sandwiches. i am not going to say this place is cramped but it kinda is. for example, if people stand in the wrong areas of the store, it will cause a complete standstill of a traffic jam in the store. my advice: order from the deli (and stand somewhere people aren't trying to get to) or grab whatever you need, pay, and leave. this place is not a place to linger. keep it moving. anyway, the obvious draw of Sunny & Annie's is the endless list of sandwiches that are handwritten cards that are stuck outside glass of the deli counter. there is literally something for the pickiest eaters--from hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, wraps, and more. some sandwiches are named celebrities, politicians, etc. i have ordered a bunch of different sandwiches and have not made it through much of the menu. you can also create your own Frankenstein monster of a sandwich. while the sandwiches are a big part of the draw, the insane amount of snack foods crammed into the store is quite remarkable from the large stand of Doritos, Takis, Cheetos and other popular branded snack foods in the front to the separate stand of Wise snacks to an entire back corner of the store filled with all kinds of chips, popcorn, etc. imo, Sunny's has the freshest-tasting Smartfood Cheddar Popcorn. i know an insane take consider it's a packaged popcorn snack from a megacorp (PepsiCo), but i'll die on this hill. maybe it's cause Sunny's sells a lot of Smartfood popcorn so it gets refreshed often, maybe they have a secret in/pipelinbe from the factory, or it's just magic/alchemy. i don't know, but the Smartfood Cheddar Popcorn never tastes stale-ish like it does at grocery stores, the bags never feel deflated because they have been on shelf long, and the popcorn never has that soft mouthy feel but still has the crunch to it. maybe it's just me, but Sunny's serves a great list of sandwiches...AND the freshest Smartfood Cheddar Popcorn. beyond the snacks, the service from the deli to cashier is upbeat and friendly. in all seriousness, Sunny and Annie's is an Avenue B institution at this point and remains a charming family-owned store--and is NOT a sterile modern clone of a neighborhood business.

We grabbed the Underworld and the Wolverine (special). The latter was definitely my favorite and I really enjoyed the turmeric wrap. The process of them putting dough into the press to make a wrap is a skosh gimmicky but I don't even mind it. I really also enjoyed the egg addition to this wrap. The Underworld was also pretty good and I would probably have this in my rotation. I do feel like things sound a bit better than they ended up being. Also, the prices are high but the portions are huge, so whether you make this into two meals to justify the price is another decision. They do have some other sauces you can add on at your leisure which we enjoyed. The place isn't so big to eat in but no one else was eating in when we went, which was clutch. As a result the service was super quick.

First of all they have ~flavored tortillas~. Second of all i love a good variety of textures in my foods and this HAD IT with the pickles and potato chips crushed inside. Food came out super quickly as well, they make it right in front of you!
