I don't judge on Slices, they are good, and for you complaining about time it takes, ask for the slice to "light heat" you really don't need it fully reheated, especially if you have kids with sensitive mouths. The place is always busy, and even when ordering full pies, they get them out quick considering they HAND TOSS each Pizza. No flat sheeting here.. great fresh toppings and friendly people. This is as good as pizza gets. The place is small with a clean, cozy, pleasantly lit, friendly atmosphere. "The Boot" is my favorite. Try it. They really have the crust down perfect. The pies are truly large (none of this 14" is a "large" BS). They look to be 18". Do not be put off paying $20-$25 per pie; it is worth the money, both for the quality and the quantity. Super chill ambience, nice decor, groovin' music, & the staff are super friendly & helpful to a newbie like me. They have whole pizzas or a 'by the slice' pies in the window, salads & apps & a nice selection of drinks- both alcoholic & non. I went with a slice of the spinach, artichoke & feta with a twist- habañero pizza sauce! WOW, the spice sneaks up quick on you, but is quite tasty- & balances out the salt from the feta & tang from the artichoke nicely. Overall, a decent deal for $5.25! Now here's some killer pizza! Went down for a slice being that I always see it on my way to Izumis. I've never been the type to say, HEY! I feel like Pizza! But I just might be now. The single slice was 1/4 the size of a large pizza from anywhere else. 2 slices would seriously be almost half a pizza. I had the pepperoni which was great, the crust is thin and crispy. I like how when you go in it gets cooked fresh and hot. As opposed to the warming display cases with the slices getting stale from the lack of heat. I picked my wife up a slice of the pineapple, mozzarella something...it was really good too! I liked it better than the pepperoni to be honest. Staff was friendly and it has a nice atmosphere. My wife and I will probably come down and do lunch. They have a lunch special that is a slice of pizza and salad for 6 dollars. I seen someone get it when I was there and it looked like quite the lunch for a very good price. I'll be back down to try more slices soon. read more

So with that said this is my first time here and had the pleasure of trying the pepperoni, margarita, and caeser salad. Whirl pie is my usual go to for quality thin crusted pizzas and this place is very comparable in terms of quality, which is to say that its great! We chose the Meat Meeting pizza & a Medium Greek Salad. At first we were going for a large salad but the young lady at the counter let us know that a medium salad would be great for both of us. I love that they have slices and you can have just as much or as little as you want. They always have a great selection of five or so pies, though be warned...I try not to come in if they are going to be closing in thirty minutes. We ordered a medium marge pizza and garlic cheese bread knots. Split between two people, we had plenty to eat and had leftovers. We didn't eat the pizza fresh, so it sat in the box for about 15 minutes. Surprisingly, the pizza tasted better the next day when it was cold. When it came out, they had accidentally charged us for an order of garlic knots which was totally fine, we ended up keeping them instead of getting the refund. Best customer service at a pizza joint in town. Since I live near a Pegasus I tend to get pizza there and forget about Mezza Luna. This is a huge mistake! Not only do they have pizza by the slice, but Mezza Luna serves some of the best side salads I've eaten in Eugene. They also have a nice beer and wine selection, and are super fast at getting your pizza out of the oven. Mezza Luna's pizza tastes fresh and delicious. I really like their crust because it actually tastes like real handmade dough. The toppings are plentiful and also very fresh. I've grabbed a slice inside and grabbed a large pizza to go. The place itself is your normal pizzeria with tables and a case of slices to choose from. It was nice and clean the last time I was there. When I ordered on the phone for pickup it only took 20 minutes for it to be ready which was great. There is metered parking out front or you can pay to park in the parking lot across the street. I really like their garlic and olive oil based pizzas since too much tomato sauce can be a little acidic. It makes the pizza taste lighter and lets the ingredients shine through.
