Very friendly place. Setup is similar to Chipotle. They do a good job of informing you what food is available, how spicy something is, and they even give you a first time taster plate of the sauces. Pretty disappointed because this place has such good reviews. The cashier wasn't that friendly. We stood by the counter for a little bit before she asked if we were ready to order. It was our first and last time there. She was a lot friendlier to the people who came after us, I'm not sure why. She explained their menu and offered them samples of food before ordering. Don't promise a time if you can't deliver. Currently 25 minutes over promised time and still waiting... With so many other options, just not worth it to me. I love Mezze when I'm craving Mediterranean food. Right up there with Brassica, for many different reasons: I think their fresh veggies are delicious and their pita is always so fresh and soft. I'm a huge sucker for Baba and theirs is just as good as any I've tried- and I count that as a positive! They're good to fix their mistakes when it happens, and easily accommodates vegetarians and vegans alike. For the longest time I overlooked Mezze paying my loyalties to Nazareth directly across the street. Today that changed, largely thanks to thw fact that Uber Eats delivers Mezze and not Nazareth and lets be honest I was feeling lazy. And for this I thank Uber Eats as I have now experienced a greater gyro than Nazareth offers, fresher ingredients, more flavorful meat and taziki that adds flavor but doesn't overpower the sandwich. I can't say this will replace Nazareth for me, but will give each an equal look when my craving leans to the Mediterranean. read more

One of my favorites! Mezze is tucked into the corner of a shopping plaza. It doesn't look like much but their food is delicious. My go-to is a chicken shawarma bowl with house rice, all the veggies, and add spicy feta topped off with their house sauce. It's SO good!!! Their hummus is pretty darn good too. read more

This restaurant has been one that my husband and I visit frequently because the food is so amazing. We typically order online and pick up our food in the restaurant. On our most recent visit, there was a computer error and our online order did not print at the restaurant, so we had to wait for them to make it. As compensation for our wait, we were given four free desserts and a coupon for buy one meal get one free for our next visit. I honestly was not expecting anything! We are big fans of Mezze and often find ourselves ordering food there one a week. Great choice for a high calorie cheat meal OR if you are health conscious and watching what you eat it also works well. Some of the best fries around! Great consistency with their food as well. We notice with other Greek restaurants in the area sometimes the food is very good and fresh and at other times...not so much. After one visit, Mezze has solidified itself as our go-to place for Mediterranean fare. The menu is laid-out Chipotle-style, meaning you choose whether you want a pita, bowl, salad, or hummus plate for your main dish. I opted for a spicy-hot chicken shawarma bowl with house rice & feta and a small (5 pieces) order of falafel. Everything was made to order from scratch. The hot-spiced chicken wasn't overly spicy and had great flavor, the house rice was perfectly sweet, and the falafel with yogurt-based tzatziki sauce was the best I'd had yet in Columbus! The staff here at the North Hamilton location was super friendly and helpful, made us feel at-home, and thanked us for visiting. There's seating for about 20 to 30 people in the restaurant, but there was only a handful of folks when we went there late on a Saturday. I love Mediterranean food and this place came highly recommended. It did not disappoint! The chicken shawarma was amazing with just the right amount of spiciness mixed with fresh greens and onions and banana peppers. I got the yogurt based tziki sauce and house rice as well. The interior was clean and well kept and the cashier was very helpful in talking me through the menu and making sure i knew what everything was and how it was prepared. So.....I've lived in Columbus for over three years now and had Mezze bookmarked for about that long to try. Finally I decided to go. My only complaint is that I waited so long to try it! The best word I can use....."YUM!!!" If you've never been here, the menu can be a bit confusing...if you don't know what sauces are what....and what various things are (which was me). The employees were very helpful in explaining the items on the menu and answering my dumb questions. I ended up with a schwarma bowl with a combo of both rices. It was AMAZING!! I also got the spicy feta appetizer, which came with pita breat. It was amazing of course! I tried the tabouli and it was good too! I was SO full after leaving. Generally, the food is fairly healthy and you can always get a to go box if you can't finish. It's also a good place to pick up the food to go. Can't wait to go back! See update below... Way too expensive!!! We've been here a handful of times and the food is really good but honestly it is outrageously expensive. I likened this place to a Greek Chipotle. You pick your base - a bowl, a salad, or a pita and then you pick your protein and veggies. Everything is exceptionally fresh and I really like the Tilapia (it takes a bit longer to prepare but it's worth it). Last time we ate here our bill was around $37 and we each had an entree and a soda. For an order at a counter, pick up your own food, fill your own soda coupled with an uncomfortable dinning room experience (its all wood and concrete, built specifically so patrons move through quickly) the price should be about half of what we paid for what we got. I'm sad to say we won't return. Update - Shortly after posting this review one of the owners contacted me to say he thought we had been overcharged. I went over what we had ordered and sure enough we had been. He offered to refund the money or treat us to another couple of meals. So I have to say I am very impressed, we will for sure be returning! I'm really happy to know they truly care about their customers and reputation. When I am eating at a place and already talking about going back, it's 5 stars. Mezze was simple, delicious, affordable, fun, comforable, and warm. Mezze shined in hospitality, service, and taste. I wish everytime could be my first time at Mezze. The owner and his front of house man were awesome. They make sure to introduce you to their food before you jump in to trying random new flavors. I think that's great since I don't like to be surrpised when I order a whole plate of something I hate. But really, there was nothing to hate about Mezze. It was all great. Even a few samplers I didn't love were still really good. I ordered the hummus plate with falafel, which was good and I'd get again. They fry the falafel to order so it's crisp and fresh. For a comparison, it's style was like Aladdins with more citrus flare. Their house dressing is addictive. My boyfriend ordered the chicken gyro and it was amazing. I will order that next time. The chicken was very tender and flavorful with the house dressing. Pretty much everything our group ordered looked so good I was jealous of everyone even though I loved my own plate of food. Mezze is a pretty damn good place for "Mediterranean" food. I put Mediterranean in quotes because, quite honestly, all I ever get here is a gyro. I usually go here with coworkers, and they get all the other stuff--and they rave about it. I really like that the first time we went there they gave us a little sampling of the different dips and stuff, very nice touch. I get a gyro, and it is consistently delicious. I spice it up, which is a nice little add-on. Although, it can be rather difficult to eat and I end up looking like a jackass trying to eat it in front of my colleagues. The bowls that all the women get look pretty tasty, so I might try one of those next time (doubtful--I'm a creature of habit). I was a little disappointed because they didn't cut the gyro meat right off of the big spinning slab like they usually do...but I couldn't tell the difference. The only downside I can think of is that it's closed on Mondays. It seems so random and unexpected to me. I was quite heartbroken the first time I drove out there on a Monday to find out it was closed. You'd think with the amount of business this place does, they'd just stay open...but I guess it works for them. It also gets pretty busy during lunch, at times the line goes back to the door. Ok... I must admit, I don't really get all the hype over this place. For me this place is adequate, and for what you get, I think it is a bit overpriced. As for Mediterranean food, there are other places I would prefer to go. What keeps me going here is the convenience to home. I would definitely not drive out of my way at all.
