I dreaded writing this review because most of the time, I love the food at Mezze and when it's correct, it's one of the best Greek salads I have ever eaten. Because of that, my husband and I have ordered food from Mezze probably more than 20 times. However, our order has been messed up more often than not and last time, it ruined the whole meal. I asked for extra house dressing, and they gave me NO DRESSING. For those of you who have eaten at Mezze, you know it's the house dressing that makes the place sensational. We were already at home when I discovered this so it was too late to take our food back, and my meal was ruined. This isn't the first time this has happened. Unfortunately, the time before that, they remembered the dressing, but it was watery and horrible. The time before that, they forgot to give us pita bread (they've done that more times than I can count) so what it comes down to is, the only thing consistent about Mezze is that they are inconsistent. The food is usually (usually) good, but if you say you want your chicken or gyro 'spicy' it may be crazy spicy, it may not be spicy at all. Its a bunch of teenagers that work there, they seem annoyed when you want to place an order, and something is missing or messed up much of the time. When one of the owners used to be there, the service was better. At this point, Mezze has run out of its 9 lives. If you order takeout, check and double check your order. Why is there only one of these? We found Mezze by accident and wished we lived closer so we could eat there more often. Just stopped in for a snack and tried the appetizer combo. Yum! My experience was ruined by the rudeness/coldness of an employee. Mezze was recommended to us by my friend. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by the staff, including the owner, Johnny, who gave us a great introduction to the restaurant as well as menu. You can get a Gyro, various kinds of sandwiches, or you can put together essentially your own platter. The platter base is either salad or two types of rice, house or mujadara. Then you choose a protein & toppings - similar ordering structure to Piada but then they actually MAKE your food, not just tossed together as you walk down the line. The falafel was delicious - I got medium spiced & it had quite a kick. I might try the mild next time to get a better variety of the other flavors in the dish - More spicy feta!! The tabouli was very fresh - pita is made in house and served lightly crisp & warm - and hummus is delicious & smooth. They have a good variety of beer and some base house wines which help to move this out of the 'quick dine' category. The owner remembered our names and checked in with us several times. This is a restaurant that I can't imagine someone receiving poor service at. We will definitely go back - and take friends! read more

Really good food. I visited from California for work and Im glad I found this place on yelp. I had the rice bowl with spicy chicken and it really good and different to my surprise. I am not a lover of fast food chains but Mezze is definitely a step up in the quality of food which is delicious and very fresh. i particularly love the unique rice which comes in the bowels- an absolute treat. My only critique is that there is an effort to initially "up sell" which can add to the bill although the prices are very reasonable for what you get. My suggestion is to offer options after the customer has decided on standard items. read more

Hands down one of my favorite places to eat. Johnny & Justin are fabulous and ever the welcoming hosts. You can never go wrong by eating there and takeout is consistently quick, fresh & utterly delicious. That can't be said about all restaurants and I love the fact that whether I'm eating in or taking it with me, it tastes the same...amazing! I have a friend who is gluten-free so we always have to keep that in mind when choosing a restaurant. She has lots of options at Mezze and I love that we're supporting a locally based business. I have been a good amount of times but they discovered yesterday that I had never had the dip sampler. They promptly brought it to me and oh-my-word....sooo yummy! What an amazing restaurant! The variety of the food is outstanding. Having the ability to build your own meal with so many options is great. The food is delicious - i definitely recommend the mujadara rice bowl with chicken gyro meat. One of the best things about this restaurant other than the food itself is the staff. Johnny and the crew are very friendly and remembered me by name by the second time I ate there. They are hilarious and make the atmosphere a fun one to be in. SOOO good. Came here with my coworkers on a Friday for lunch. The staff was joking and laughing. They even gave us free samples of all the dips (with pita) and their difference rice bowl and explained what was in them. It was an unexpected surprise. Their food is so fresh and unique! When we got our orders (though we already felt pretty satisfied from the samples), everyone at the table loved their food. It was so delicious that I had to bring my boyfriend there the same week. He got a salad and loved it too. I got the tilapia rice bowl. The fish was cooked perfectly--so buttery and just melts in your mouth The chef even remembered me and later came by and chatted with us and asked how the food was. We don't eat out often, but we went back twice more in the past month. Mezze has a nice vibe and seems to work for any group. We've seen people studying there or groups out for a social dinner with wine or families or people like us in sweatpants coming back from a run. Food gets a 4 or 5 but with the excellent service it's definitely a 5. We'll probably be coming back every month to eat. read more

My wife and I were greeted immediately. As first timers, the crew gave us a sampling of their rice, sauces, and pita spreads. They were very knowledgable of the menu and super friendly - joking and smiling - very welcoming. The owner introduced himself and obviously takes great pride in his restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the restaurant was very clean. Oh, and the price is right and the portions are more than enough! A friend and I came here on encouragement of a Groupon, and good thing because once I saw that it was a Mediterranean chipotle I may not have been interested. I'm super picky about my Mediterranean...and super tired of the assembly line theme that also now comes in Italian and Asian But here we go: you pick your base, you pick your protein, you customize...deep sigh. Ok. Pleasantly surprised by how fresh and well seasoned the food was. Staff was very friendly and helped with creation options. We shared a couple of different combinations and both were yummy. We had to go back up and ask for pita as it was forgotten, but no biggie and it too was very good. Baklava was a delicious treat at the end. I recently said to same friend, "we must go back to that one Mediterranean chipotle place in gahanna"...she remembered the name, I didnt. But she was the one who bought the groupon. 4 stars instead of 5...just because...I told you, I'm sort of over this method of serving food...but I still eat at Chipotle every now and then read more

Recently moved to Columbus from Miami, Florida and have been seriously missing all the delicious variety of food in Miami. I live a few blocks away from the Mezze on Henderson. I drove past it a few times and wondered what it was, so my wife and I went in. The first time we went in, the staff was super friendly and helpful. They let us try a few things so we would know what we would enjoy. It was delicious and fresh food and I enjoyed the meal. The second time we went in, the owner came in, and talked to us and saw we were eating some Baba Ghanoush, and brought some black bean hummus to try, which was also fantastic. The service there is always top notch. Everyone is always super nice, the food is always fresh, and it seems like they have a real commitment to making good food. And now they are on skipthedishes, which is tremendous for when I don't feel like going out. read more
