Went here over the weekend with a Groupon. It's unfortunate that it's tucked away in a nondescript shopping center where no one can find it, because it was awesome. I was so impressed that I decided to write my first Yelp review to sing Mezze's praises in the hope that others with track down this little gem of a restaurant. I love Greek food, and this place rocks! It's simple, similar to Chipotle or Piada. You pick your base - pita, rice, etc., then pick your meat - Gyro, chicken, etc., then your toppings lettuce, tomatos, etc., and sauce. The house sauce/dressing is very good. I love Mezze - I come here at least once a week! The environment is cozy but the food is really great. The shwarma and falfel are so flavorful and they're great with the tabbouleh, hummus and mudjadra. If you like your food on the spicy side, they can make any option you choose spicy and it's pretty good! If you're a first time customer let them know and they'll give you a sample plate of all o their yummy appetizers - really worth it! There isn't better Greek food (at least that I have tasted) in all of Columbus.. and what's better, it's FAST. As some other reviewers have, I liken this restaurant to a Greek Chipotle. You choose your base (bowl, pita, or salad), and then add your toppings. I recommend the House sauce and the Mujaddara rice. Also, add feta (spicy if you enjoy a kick), and punch up the overall spice on your dish a bit. We stopped by for dinner to go, and unfortunately, once we had gotten all the way home they had forgotten to put in the kids meals (two small gyros) we had ordered. I called to ask if they could refund us and at first got a young man who couldn't really help us (suggested we come back to pick them up, but with a 15 minute drive and two hungry kids I said no thanks). When I asked to speak to someone else, he put the owner on the phone. The owner PERSONALLY delivered out sandwiches to the house as well as a dip sampler and several desserts. What started out to be a disappointing meal turned into a fantastic dinner and we were blown away by the level of customer service. What a great place near our home. I had no idea about Mezze. Our kids all do boxing at title boxing in Gahanna. The owner of Mezze right next to title boxing, Dave, was ALWAYS pleasant as our kids went in to box. This according to my kids. Today I did a search on Zomato and Mezze game up with 4.2 stars. Decided to give it a try with my wife and 19 year old daughter. Dave was extremely pleasant giving a review of their straightforward menu and brought us several sauces with pita bread. I've been to 100's of restaurants and Mezze gets a 5 from us in service, food taste, quality and quantity. It was an absolutely great lunch experience. We found a gem in Gahanna! read more

My wife and I went to this restaurant as we had not been there for over 1 1/2 years. Unfortunately the place was dirty and the food quality was not what we had experienced the last few times we were there. The French fries were about the only good thing we had from the menu. I'm a Chipotle fan, becuse of the fresh taste and quality. Mezze is the same, very high quality and fresh. If you like mediterraneanstyle wraps, I suggest the Middle-Eastern pita because its larger, then fill it how you see fit, The Tabouli is excellent. I normally don't eat Baklava at these places, but Mezze has 3 types, none are too rich. The owner is on site frequently. Besides Mazah in Grandview, this is my favorite mediterranean restaurant in town. read more

Words can not describe the pleasant experience myself and the fiancé had here last night. The building is seated in the back corner near title boxing, upon opening the door and making our way to the counter we were greeted by Dave one of the owners, knowing it was our 1st time he generously put together a sample plate at which he described each item and how it was cooked and the ingredients in each item. It was amazing for someone to know that much about each of thier products, next we build our own gyros and coupled it with some hand-cut fries, the portions were huge and more than filling. We decided to get a lamb and also the chicken so we could. Try each one, they both were amazing, I followed up and did some research and found out the meat he uses is the highest quality you can buy and is actually about 2-3x more expensive than the meat of other local vendors. (You can def tell the difference) lastly the environment was nice it doesn't include nicer comfy chairs etc but its set in a Greek atmosphere and is a true environment of being overseas. The stained wooden booths remind me of an antique setting with perfect light it made for a wonderful date night. And did I mention I actually prefer getting up to get my own refills of soda. (I drink 4-5 with a meal) Over all the staff is excellent and very friendly and knows so much about thier products, they also take extremely good care of the customer, I will 110% return and eat here again.. I came here by chance and I tried the stand-outs include the spicy feta & the tabbouleh. The vegetables and other materials are very fresh and the taste is special but really good. My husband and I order gyros from Mezze on a regular basis and they are always so fresh and delicious. I took my girlfriend there and we ordered gyros to go. After we got home we found the sauce was forgotten which we had asked for on the side. I called and spoke with the manager, Madison, who was apologetic and offered to replace our gyros so we could have them fresh and offered us free dessert for our inconvenience. I was getting out of my bank and looking for a nearby restaurant for lunch , and this place popped up in my phone. I love Mediterranean food and had never heard of this place, so I drove over and gave it a try. The cashier explained it as a chipotle style restaurant where you can build your own Greek dish. The food was delicious and absolutely appetizing. The service was better than most restaurants I have gone too. I talked briefly to Steve, the owner of the establishment and he seems like a great guy with good business sense. This place is more concerned with profit than their food; I felt nickled and dimed to death. The Rice Bowl I received today was cold, small in portion size and over priced. I was told 2 sauces went with the bowl and ordered tahini and the Mezze sauce and after ringing it up, was informed an extra $0.99 would be charged for the Mezze sauce. Wanted to try this place because of all of the great reviews and it definitely lived up to the hype! The owner was behind the counter and was fantastic! My daughter recently moved to Columbus from Akron, Ohio. We joined her for a special day to celebrate her 25th birthday with her friends and family.
