Don't be discouraged when you pull into the parking lot that is also shared with the motel...it's a strange entrance but cozy restaurant. Reminded me of a typical cantina in Mexico. When we walked in, the place seemed pretty small and packed...we were greeted by a friendly hostess and wait staff. We waited at the bar until a booth was available. At the bar, we were told they were all out of avocados...so, no guacamole for us. Bummer!! We are huge guacamole fans! We ordered their version of jalapeño poppers...they were sooo good!! They also brought us chips and salsa...red and green salsas to accompany chips. The green salsa tasted fresh and citrusy! The red salsa...I've had better. It was hot/spicy but not flavorful really. I was expecting a smokier flavor. My bf ordered the steak chimichangas...it's baked not fried there and it was delicious and flavorful. I liked the red sauce that was on top of the chimichangas. I ordered the chicken fajitas with green salsa...again it had the bright, citrusy flavor. Very good. My only concern and what warranted the 3 stars on this review is that I'm not sure if that was real chicken?? Before I ordered, I asked our waitress how the chicken is prepared and she told us it was chicken breast that was shredded. BUT, the chicken pieces were actually tiny, even-sized cubes...it was strange!! I come from a long line of excellent Latina cooks in my family...so, not convinced that was real chicken!!! I've been wanting to eat here for months and I finally stopped by recently. I ordered the bisteck encebollado. The blandest Spanish food I've ever tasted. Not only was the food bland but it took 30-45 mins for them to prepare two servings of the same order. Usually when I eat at a restaurant I determine if the service, food and overall cleanliness of the restaurant is deserving of a tip but in this case they decided to add 8% gratuity prior to even receiving the food or any of the service. As soon as you tell them what you want they add on gratuity as if it was already earned or deserved. El rincon will be where I get my Spanish food fix at for now on. read more

Came in during dinner tonight with hardly any wait to be seated. The wait staff was courteous and very busy. It took about ten minutes before our drink order was taken but they made sure to apologize for taking so long. The table was sticky in one area. I ordered a can of soda and was given said can with a straw. The rim had some white crusty substance so I went out of my way to clean it, (and made sure to use the straw) but no glass. Once the food came it was timed well. It was all ok but nothing spectacular. I ordered the roasted pork with rice, beans and fried plantains (sweet)-(which they weren't). The pork was gray in color but had good flavor. Portions were big and I took half of my meal home. Wait staff tried to take my friends plate before he was done but he stopped her then within a few minutes a second waitress came and took the plate with chips right out from under him. They should be better coordinated with the wait staff. They could use a little bit of work on some of their flavors and techniques with the food. They need to clean the tables better and offer glasses with their canned and bottled drinks. Also, if you are concerned with Covid, it seems the only thing they are enforcing is the masks when you come in. read more

Visited MiCasa during a weekend trip around 6 on a Friday and the place was filling up quickly. We ordered Nachos, Guacamole, enchiladas, fajitas & more. Everything was excellent! Our waitress was so nice and accommodated every request for the 2 & 9 year olds in our party. The margaritas were not too sweet and well mixed. Entrees, apps, drinks & tip for 6 was less than $140. As others have commented, the motel in which it is located, is a tad sketchy but nothing that would keep me from returning. If you wanted to get away from the high prices at the resorts, MiCasa is a great option. read more

What a pleasant surprise finding this nice little restaurant attached to a motel. The motel was quite scary looking but don't be fooled because the restaurant had excellent service and wonderful food. Everything tasted very fresh and nothing was over-salted even the margarita was perfect and not too strong. The waitress had a smile and made recommendations for selections on the menu. I particularly enjoyed the sprinkled cilantro on top of the chicken fajita. The onions and peppers were seasoned perfectly. We came here because the Yelp reviews were so good. It WAS very good, however, the chicken in both our dishes was over cooked. The dishes, however, were well presented. The guacamole was absolutely delicious & the chips were perfect. The sangria was also excellent. Service impeccable & the waitress could not have been more polite. Overall, I'd come back for another try to see if they improve on the chicken after my review. Really I'm giving it 3-1/2 stars because of the over cooked chicken ONLY. read more

Came here with my wife and four kids. The food was very good. My wife and I both had fajitas and margaritas. Kids all had a chicken and cheese quesadilla off the kids menu. The kids portions were huge- probably could have gotten two orders for them to split instead of four but oh well, we'll have leftovers for lunch. Mi Casa comes up on a Yelp "Happy Hour" search. They don't have a Happy Hour. Yelp should correct this. Also, there is a $15 minimum to use a credit card and typed signs in the entrance encouraging payment in cash. Raise your prices if you need to. Nestled in the midst of the small Mount Pocono Hotel, Mi Casa is well worth finding. The food was fresh & delicious. It was very different than your average Mexican restaurant. I liked the variety on the menu. I got the Chicken breast grilled in tequila jalapeno butter sauce. Served w/ rice & avocado salad. It was really yummy. A huge portion, I had to take some home. I can't wait to eat it again later. My husband had the Burrito and was very satisfied. He said it was delicious. We had empanadas & tamals for apps both were wonderful.
