We came in on Saturday afternoon 11/9/24 for a light lunch/snack around 2:30pm. We sat at the bar…read moreand we were waited on by a friendly and efficient server that we had never had before. We have great service here 95% of the time - this time included. I ordered a michelada as I always do - if you've never had one- try it! Bloody Mary mix with Modelo. Served with a Tajin rim and a lime. I order one EVERY time we come in. Knowing we would be going to dinner later, I wasn't in the mood for a full meal. I ordered the bean dip and an a la cart ground beef tostada. Unfortunately, the bean dip was disappointing. It was thin refined beans with runny queso. If it was seasoned at all, I couldn't tell. Maybe if the cheese had been grated cheese it could have been better. I didn't complain because I assumed that's how it was supposed to be? The ground beef tostada was so good! The beef had great flavor! There was a good amount of beef and the other toppings were fresh. I would order that again, for sure! He ordered 3 carne asada taco dinner (as always) and 1 a la cart ground beef taco - American style. The carne asada tacos were delicious and the ground beef taco in a soft corn tortilla was a delicious addition to the usual meal. Service was great and the food was real good, we will of course be back!

YUMMMMMMM! Looking for takeout food on a football Sunday, we…read moredecided to check this place out based on a friend recommendation. We showed up anticipating placing a takeout order, assuming a short wait, and that's what we got. The neighborhood was a little bit iffy, with bars on the windows of the building, and there was really no parking lot, so street parking only. It's very small inside with an order/pickup Window and no seating. There's a big menu on the wall with pictures, and paper menus to read and/or take with you. The lady working was very very helpful with recommendations, explaining dishes, and helping us to decide what to order. Fantastic customer service. The food came out EXTREMELY fast. I actually couldn't believe it was already our order. We got an array of items and everything was pretty good. We got the Panchita, which was like loaded nachos, and it was good, but being takeout, it was soggy by the time we ate it. The spicy tamales were good but dry, and I would probably try those again. The burrito was VERY good - and the green salsa was delicious!

So glad Navarro's was at the Fulton Street Farmers Market BIPOC night recently! Nate and I got…read moretheir spicy pork tamales and really enjoyed them. They came three to an order for only $6, which I thought was a great value. They were a bit smaller than other tamales I've had before, but they were the best ones I've ever had. The masa was soft and not dry at all, and the tamales held together well. The ratio of filling to masa was good due to the smaller size, and the pork was tender and flavorful. These weren't super spicy but had a little kick to them. We were offered a cup of verde salsa, which was the perfect accompaniment. I'm really excited to check out Navarro's restaurant the next time we're in Muskegon. They have been family owned and operated for nearly 45 years, and with tamales this good, I can see why!

We visited this place while staying in Grand Haven for a bowling tournament. We wanted Mexican and chose Arturo's because they had a parking lot (the other place we found only had street parking.) Lot was small, but easy to enter and leave. Arturo's is quaint with not a lot of seating. Decorated well without being too showy. Very, VERY clean. We chose to carry out because we thought that with the small amount of seating, it would be cramped. However, they were so fast in delivering food to customers, we realized that we would have done well eating in. Now ... the food! Freaking amazing. Pimp and I had the pick 3 dinner specials. For $13 you get rice and beans and 3 main items (i.e. tacos, tamales, etc) I chose a taco, tamale, and quesadilla. Pimp had all tacos. The beans and rice were seasoned to perfection. After filling up on my beans, I barely had room for the rest. I used my fingers to scrape the last bit of the beans out of the container. LOL (I could have just settled with the beans and rice.) But I braved it and dug into my chicken taco. We both agreed that the chicken was very well seasoned, moist, but not soggy. It was a good amount of it on the tacos without being too much. We were so full after the beans, rice, and tacos, we had to take a break for a siesta. I still got a tamale, and quesadilla left and Pimp had two tacos. But if we finished, this review would not get written. Buen trabajo, Arturo's. Lo has hecho muy bien. We'll be back after bowling tomorrow to get some of those beans to take home.
