beautiful sunny January day for Rosita's!
    Sal B.

We were in Muskegon recently and looked for a decent Mexican establishment. Using the Yelp app, we decided to check out Rosita's Tacos for lunch. Great visit! We ordered the King Burrito (ground beef) and a chicken gordita. The burrito ended up being 3 meals. Meaning, it was HUGE. Both were excellent. I won't give it all 5 stars, but it was a solid 4 star lunch and the price was good. The pop refill deal was confusing and goofy, but that's a small item. The place was fairly empty when we stopped by. There was a solid stream of pick up orders that came through while we were there. We can't speak the service problems that some have commented on. Our experience was good and we'd love to come back some day. If we lived in the area, we'd be in more often. If you're looking for a good Mexican lunch or dinner, I'd recommend checking out Rosita's.

Lunch.... taco dinner, American style with rice & refried beans. This place is the real thing... Bodway & Sanford, Muskegon, Michigan

Incredible! I lived in Muskegon for several years and never knew about Rosita's. It took a trip back and Yelp to discover this delicious friendly neighborhood Mexican restaurant. The service was great and the food really good. Honest, Authentic, Delicious. I will definitely be making Rosita's a lunch stop next time I'm "home".

Very very tasty! True Mexican tast! Best place to go at Parties in the Park Muskegon 2015 not only because there food is the best, but the prices were the best too! I personally had the Beef Fajita Steak Tacos (3 for $5). Soo good! On each of them I put one of there three different homage sauces. And they don't lie about how hot there sauces are either. I though that the Hot sauce was the best. So if you're looking for a great taco, Nacho, Tostada, or chip place, go to Rosita's Tacos!

The only authentic Mexican restaurant in Muskegon, everything is always so fresh! (Worth the wait). Don't be scared by the outside, it's been there for 20 years for a reason. The workers greet me & are always nice. Love it there! Reminds me of my grandma's home cooking.

    Best local tacos!

Best authentic Mexican food I've had in Michigan. The fajitas and tacos were amazing. We will definitely come back here!

Was not what I expected. The food was just average. I'm not sure they used any seasoning for flavoring.....I was not impressed.

We showed up anticipating placing a takeout order, assuming a short wait, and that's what we got. The neighborhood was a little bit iffy, with bars on the windows of the building, and there was really no parking lot, so street parking only. It's very small inside with an order/pickup Window and no seating. There's a big menu on the wall with pictures, and paper menus to read and/or take with you. The lady working was very very helpful with recommendations, explaining dishes, and helping us to decide what to order. Fantastic customer service. The food came out EXTREMELY fast. I actually couldn't believe it was already our order. We got an array of items and everything was pretty good. We got the Panchita, which was like loaded nachos, and it was good, but being takeout, it was soggy by the time we ate it. The spicy tamales were good but dry, and I would probably try those again. The burrito was VERY good - and the green salsa was delicious!

They came three to an order for only $6, which I thought was a great value. They were a bit smaller than other tamales I've had before, but they were the best ones I've ever had. The masa was soft and not dry at all, and the tamales held together well. The ratio of filling to masa was good due to the smaller size, and the pork was tender and flavorful. These weren't super spicy but had a little kick to them. We were offered a cup of verde salsa, which was the perfect accompaniment. I'm really excited to check out Navarro's restaurant the next time we're in Muskegon. They have been family owned and operated for nearly 45 years, and with tamales this good, I can see why!

We have great service here 95% of the time - this time included. I ordered a michelada as I always do - if you've never had one- try it! Bloody Mary mix with Modelo. Served with a Tajin rim and a lime. I order one EVERY time we come in. Knowing we would be going to dinner later, I wasn't in the mood for a full meal. I ordered the bean dip and an a la cart ground beef tostada. Unfortunately, the bean dip was disappointing. It was thin refined beans with runny queso. If it was seasoned at all, I couldn't tell. Maybe if the cheese had been grated cheese it could have been better. I didn't complain because I assumed that's how it was supposed to be? The ground beef tostada was so good! The beef had great flavor! There was a good amount of beef and the other toppings were fresh. I would order that again, for sure! He ordered 3 carne asada taco dinner (as always) and 1 a la cart ground beef taco - American style. The carne asada tacos were delicious and the ground beef taco in a soft corn tortilla was a delicious addition to the usual meal. Service was great and the food was real good, we will of course be back!

If you're lucky enough, you can watch the Muskegon Lumberjacks play while enjoying your street tacos. Don't miss out on their rotating drink specials! I had a boozy frozen apple cider and it was SO GOOD: strong, flavorful, seasonal. CALLING ALL VEGANS. This is probably going to end up being your go-to if you're in Muskegon as it's one of the only places that actually has options on the menu. + chips and guac ($7): such a HUGE portion of house made guacamole and fresh fried chips. Expect some spice with that guac too: very oniony and lots of chunks of jalapeno. Seriously, this would cost at least $11 to $14 where I'm from. + "Secret Love" vegan tacos ($5): deep fried cauliflower covered in buffalo sauce, a celery cucumber sauce, and scallions. This flavor profile is hard not to love, and these were fantastic. Good textures, very hearty. +/- "The Bruss Lee" vegan tacos ($4): deep fried brussel sprouts in an Asian marinade, kimchi, scallions, and peanuts. These were okay. Just VERY WET, kind of fell apart, and the brussels were crunchy and tough. I was so excited to get another frozen apple cider and to try the sweet potato nachos, that I came back a second night... And had a totally different experience. The first night I came (a Saturday; they were SO BUSY), the bartender was engaging, interactive. Other staff cleaning up and around customers seemed friendly and cool too. The second night (a Sunday; there wasn't more than twelve or so customers there)? They were so rude. One staff member was yelling at people to get into a single orderly line (we were) and the bartender said they were cash only (they weren't the previous night, and...) "The people in front of me just used their card," I pointed out when it was my turn. "Yeah, but now the internets down. The whole street is dealing with it. Not our problem." 1) This was not true, as I went to other businesses on the street and paid with card no problem, 2) Just an observation: it seemed like they were only telling this to people with food menus in their hand (I saw the cook repeatedly shaking his head and using his arms to make an "x" at the bartenders). I saw a few other reviews mention similarly polarizing experiences, so it's definitely something to note.
