What a gem of a place. We have not found anything close to authentic Mexican style in Baltimore. I say "style" because I am not of any Mexican heritage, so I do not wish to comment on the ethnicity. Even still... wow. BUT, the place hit me like cartoon animation. With colors and pictures, I thought I would see a mariachis band. Instead we were seated and waited on and made to feel relaxed. It was NICE! I do not hate the bands, just thought this was a cookie cutter like place. It is not. As for the food, it was served fast and came out hot. We all commented on speed and warmth. I think that I found my new favorite spot for Mexican! My husband and I enjoyed a double date night here recently with some of our friends. After a short wait, we were seated at our table and greeted with warm chips and salsa. The menu is large - there's several standout entrees that you wouldn't necessarily find in other similar restaurants. We are all torn between a few things - but settled on tacos, enchiladas, and a chimichanga. I ordered the Cancun chimichanga with steak and it was MASSIVE and so, so delicious. I'm not normally a fan of black beans (which is what they serve here), but they were pretty good inside of the burrito. I would order it again. My husband ordered ground beef tacos and empanadas- I tried a bite of the empanadas and it was very good. Cancun margarita was insanely delicious- I could've easily had another. One complaint - my friend ordered chicken enchiladas and they came out as beef. She didn't end up mentioning it (and I'm sure they would've corrected it) but still thought they were tasty. I came in this restaurant for the very first time and I was treated poorly. Although I was in the front waiting to seated I was purposely overlooked by several hostess, cashiers and even management. The company only apologized for the odd treatment once I called to ask why I received such poor and negligent treatment after walking out once they tried seating me separately from the rest of the customers. Unfortunately I do believe it was discriminatory unfair treatment and as a food reviewer who has never experienced such unfair treatment I was genuinely disappointed and offended. I wanted to try this spot out for happy hour. I came on a Friday before and no happy hour on Fridays! That sucks. Anywho, second time around. I got the empanadas and chicken nachos. I ordered the food and drinks off the HH menu. I should have read it prior to ordering but I expected meat in my empanadas.. Nope! It was still good tho. I had the mexican mule and a mojito. I drove from Odenton to try this dish out. The Chef's Signature Platter, after I seeing it on Instagram and literally thought about it everyday until I finally made a visit during lunch time. The veggies were so delicious. It had zucchini, onions, red peppers, mushrooms & broccoli. The shrimp was good & the salmon was tender. From the time I entered the restaurant until the time I left, I was treated nicely by my server. I didn't wait long for anything. She was fast with bringing me water and chips with salsa. Went for the last night of Annapolis restaurant week. I had never been to this place before and they advertised dinner for 2 for $37. Sounded like a great deal and it included an appetizer, entree, and a dessert. We enjoyed the food and both of us had a house margarita. However, when I got the bill it was $98. They neglected to tell us the dinner for 2 for $37 was for 1 appetizer, 1 entree and 1 dessert How can it possibly be a dinner for 2 when it was meant to be shared and the main entree consisted of one plate of 3 tacos with beans and rice which was only enough for one person. We assumed that dinner for two meant pick one appetizer, one entree and one dessert per person like all the other restaurants that were participating in restaurant week. Every time I come here I must say in comparison to other Mexican restaurants this place "seasons" their food. Now hopefully you read me... the food has flavor OK!! And it's delicious. So I have tasted many things of the menu, queso (yummy), tamales, tacos, flautas, fajitas... you name it! Everything taste very good. As far as the drinks... they are pretty good as well. It's more like 3.6 and I round it up to 4 stars. A restaurant owner referred me to this place. I was craving Food from Cancun since I just went there. This place was extremely busy with the take out orders. I noticed it is a popular place in Annapolis. Inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated. It reminded me of Cancun. The menu is different than most Mexican Restaurant in the area. The food definitely reminded me of Cancun, Quintana Roo or Yucatán Peninsula. I ordered the Quintana Roo platter. It is served with Crab cakes top with guacamole and salmon top with chilpotle barbecue sauce. It was flavorful and different. I definitely enjoyed it. Furthermore, The Pupusas were tasty as well. I deducted the star for the drinks. The margarita were too sweet and sour. I order a Cancun sunrise and it was very sweet. The mix drinks definitely need improvement. Place has great ambience - furniture and décor exactly what I imagine a traditional hacienda would look like: down to the heavy wooden tables and chairs. Food was delicious and I imagine authentic as there were many native Spanish speakers dining. One minor gripe is that the servers should be a little more attentive to customers - we waited like 10 minutes for a server to come take our order while we saw a gaggle of them chatting near the cash register. Total bill for 2 entrees and soda came to ~$35; probably the cheapest dinner we had on the trip and it was very good. And finally, compliments for the very fresh tasting chips and salsa. read more

Mi Lindo Cancun Grill is an unbelievable gem in the rough. There is nothing rough about the fantastic establishment. Parking is plentiful, and access to just about anywhere is easy. I was introduced a few weeks ago and have been back several times since that introduction. At first glance, you are welcomed by a small but friendly "patio/walkway" seating area and a great ornate front door. Once inside, you realize you have entered the "real deal" of Latin dining. Not cheesy crap hanging from the walls, but a well-appointed, comfortable restaurant about eating great food and not wasting time on things to make you think you are somewhere else. You know you are in for a treat!!! The staff all seem to have one goal: make sure your experience at their restaurant exceeds expectations. The two-page menu is packed with many of the classically expected options, but also, there are a number of their own creations that are well worth trying. I have had the burrito twice. It is so large that I thought they made it for two people. So you can understand what I mean ... it was the size of a small dog. This by NO way indicates it had canine in it; in fact, my most recent one was barbacoa, hands down the best I have ever had. The sides on the plate are also plentiful, adding to the need to nap in the parking lot from a food coma. I am always hesitant to post raved reviews about a place because I fear it will become inaccessible. If this happens to them, I would be happy! This review is not about the food or the service. The resturant has become increasingly shabby looking. For instance, last week I went with a friend. The upholstery on the booths is split and peeling. The seat in the booth where we sat actually had a spring that I had to move very to the far end to avoid. This used to be a beautiful resturant but is looking worse and worse every time we go there. It used to be our favorite place to take guests but now it's an embarrassment. Upon arrival, I didn't seem to notice the restaurant as the parking lot was a bit dysfunctional. Although there was available parking, it's a strip mall that is under construction. The restaurant didn't seem very busy but there was a wait to be acknowledged. The hostess/server was not welcoming at all which had me doubting my decision. Party of two but provided one set of cutlery and three paper napkins. Luckily she was not our server, otherwise I would have walked out. The restaurant displayed Mexican culture and warmth and sounds of Latin music. Could see there were lots of takeout orders from our table which is a good thing. Took some time to get a server after we were seated and waited about 5 -7 minutes. Gave me some time to check email and home surveillance so I didn't mind the wait. Marta ended up being our server and she was great. She was very kind and helpful. Salsa and chips were brought to us but had to wait for water, and our drinks. Ordered fried calamari, birria tacos, molcajete Mar y Tierra and everything was excellent . The calamari was fresh, tender and seasoned extremely well. I could barely finish my molcojete. The molcajete did not come with red sauce inside so I had to order on the side and paid extra. Tortillas are also extra but the order only includes 3 flour. For the amount of meat and price ($44) I would assume fajitas would unlimited or at the very least (10). My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the birria tacos and her virgin berry margarita. Service is good, drinks are great. The food had been great until I ordered the meal with the lobster. The lobster was awful! The meat was shriveled down to almost nothing and it was very mushy! This is my first time getting food from here and it was pretty good. The portion size is definitely pretty big and you definitely get your money's worth. I got the Chimichanga Ranchera and it was good. Chimichangas are my go to at Mexican restaurants so I've eaten quite a few here and there. The chimichanga itself was really good. The meat was good and so were the beans and rice inside. The sauce on top just added extra flavor to the chimichanga and made it that much better. Both of the salads that came with the meal was also really good. I think they might've come with my friends meal but it was still good nonetheless. read more

Sighhh..never did I think I'd see the day that Yelp led me astray but this place does not deserve 4.5 stars..a 3 at best and that's being very generous! Ordered the chicken fajitas (simple, right?) and the Chorri Pollo, which is out of this world yummy at a Mi Pueblo's in Glen Burnie btw. The chicken was blah! Lacked flavor and was a dry. The rice was also dry and hard. It was a pleasant surprise to see refrigeration black beans however they were bland as well. When you go to a Mexican spot you expect great flavors and to leave full..the salsa that came with the cold tortilla chips was OK and added some moisture and flavor to the fajitas. Cheese on the Chorri Pollo was think & wasn't melted completely. Best part of the meal was the "salad" that came with the Chorri Pollo and the Pico de Gallo ( pretty awesome actually with a nice kick to it). Up charge for cheese and sour cream, carafe of water should have been more chilled, wasn't even cool by time the food arrived Service was a 2/5 Wouldn't recommend and Definitely not returning, bad day or not, I'm good! read more

Just left this place. Ordered a bunch of food, 90% of it is correct. My lomo saltado was requested with fries on the side. I enjoy crispy fries and the competing textures. What I received was just the fries. Btw, those fries were clearly added to the main dish, then removed, then only the fries were given. Totally made my day even better. Cocktail menu was on point! My girls ordered the enchiladas verdes and flautas de pollo. So good! The food was great and the service was ok, but I'm definitely coming back to try some of the other items. I stopped by to pick up dinner for my family as they wanted Mexican food. We live about 30 minutes away so I searched for something nearby the mall and saw the great reviews. Unfortunately we did not have the same experience as I ordered a steak burrito bowl, steak chimichangas and 4 street tacos with steak and beef and they were inedible due to the salty steak. We enjoyed this place! The restaurant was clean and the servers were welcoming when we entered and we were seated right away. The waiter took our drink orders and came back and got our food orders. The menu is pretty straight forward but the waiter helped us get the best option for what we were looking for. Decent prices, and drink prices are alright, while happy hour drinks are great!
