It's literally just a fried egg, ham, and cheese on a croissant, but holy Geezus! They MUST be sprinkling some kind of fairy dust on that thang because I just can't seem to get enough of it. Their sammies always come stacked and loaded with melted cheese and a side of salsa. Salsa with a ham and cheese breakfast sammich, you ask?! USE IT! Their green salsa is da BEST-EST! I'm ashamed to say that I'm so entranced by their breakfast sammich that I really haven't tried many other pastries. They carry a ton of homemade pastries, many of which are traditional Mexican favorites. They also make empanadas and pambazos which I look forward to trying once I get over my breakfast sammy addiction. The staff is friendly and efficient and I've never had to wait long to receive my order. Their prices are decent but they haven't changed their menu board in over 10 years! The prices listed on their menu are incorrect, so you should definitely inquire about their prices before you place your order. The first time I came in, I felt a bit uncomfortable because the men in that joint were staring me down like a hawk. Maybe I was looking extra hawwwt that day or maybe I had toilet paper stuck me or something? Who knows, but since then I've never felt uncomfortable coming back in. I was excited about this place when I seen the reviews and pictures but I was very disappointed. I ordered the Cafe de olla and empanada of beans and one of potatoes. Potato empanada is very spicy and the bean was just ok. The people were friendly but the food was not good and I went for food. Ordered five empanadas, each a different variety (bean, green mole, red mole, potato, sausage). Only two were heated (bean and sausage), the rest were served cold. I disliked all except the sausage - which was bearable at best. I may have enjoyed the empanadas if they weren't freshly out of the cold box. And if they had a sense of flavor. As I left I witnessed empanadas being made in the kitchen. What was done with these I do not know. But I'm sure it was grim. read more

The cutest couple owns this place What I had Cafe de Olla: DELICIOSO! it was very good, creamy, warm and that straight from my grandmother kitchen in Guadalajara taste to it. BFF had Mexican hot chocolate and was very good not overly creamy and not water down. The owner makes her own pastries; I did not have any but looked good. Service 5 stars all the way, we were greeted by warm smiles and just an over all good vibe. They have at least 10 computers including a Mac music station. They had an article up that was listed in the local newspaper about this guy who did not know how to use a computer and he would come to the cafe an the owners taught him how too , a big smile on my face as I read that. This place is well hidden, the parking is tight around here, the Mexican tortilleria is next door which is very popular as well. read more

The Moka Maya was probably one of the best coffee/espresso drink I've had. It was rich and frothy with the right amount of sweetness. The pastes were phenomenal. Papas (potato) was amazing (11/10) and the salchicha was great too (9/10). My favorite was the potato by far. The staff was very welcoming and sweet. I will definitely be returning! read more

Tucked away among laundromats and Mexican restaurants, if you're tired to Starbucks or Hipster cafes, try this place out for a change of pace. They have a small menu of breakfast sandwiches, Mexican pastries and a coffee drinks. The staff mostly speaks Spanish but they are very kind and will help you through your order. They have a few computers here and printer. I work from from home a few days a week so this was a nice non busy, non pretentious place to put my head down and focus on work. Ok, Let me start by sharing that I decided to try this plce based on all the reviews. Well.... Today was the first and last time I will go there. I live nearby and decided to try a latte and a few pastries. I had my 2 year old with me running errands. I ordered easy enough, but when I had my son on the counter with me as I paid, the lady making coffee (short hair older woman ) told me that to be careful because there were cables nearby. I looked and saw nothing of what she was talking about. So I paid , and then I realized she was telling the cashier that my son would grab the cables problably. I was infuriated to say the least! So I told the lady with short hair "Dont worry my son wont touch the cables!" She then proceeded to say "All children touch stuff" I was beyond appalled at her behavior with a customer in the store. 1- my son never once touched anything 2- really this is the supposed "great customer service" I hear about?! 3- Never will I support this place again. I'm so happy to have found this little computer cafe a few doors down from my favorite tortilleria. The place is clean and has a nice atmosphere. They have modern computer equipment available for use and I believe they have WiFi as I saw a few customers with laptops. So far I've tried the moka maya, which is espresso with Mexican chocolate and its really good. I've also tried the alfajores, which is a South American shortbread cookie sandwich filled with dulce de leche; the cookie is so good, now I crave it. Also their flan is amazing; its more dense and rich and it reminds me of the Filipino version of flan called leche flan. I'm definitely coming back! read more

This is my first visit to Mi Oficina. I am thoroughly impressed with everything about this place. I generally drink a black house coffee on my first, and most, visits to a new cafe. I asked about a Cafe de Olla, listed below Coffee on the menu. The owner explained all the ingredients, so I decided to try it. To use a cliche again, OMG ! This drink consists of coffee, cinnamon, sugar cane and spices. It is absolutely delicious. It is not a "flavored" coffee in the strict sense (something a purist would never ever drink). I also had a cocoa-covered, warmed pan (Mexican biscuit ... Pan simply means bread) - also delicious. This cafe is in a shopping center that caters to the Latino community, but there is also an Afghan market here, a bowling alley, and several other businesses. It's quite diverse and very friendly. The cafe is also a computer cafe, renting computers for 10 cents a minute. There are mostly PCs, but a Mac or two also. I used the wireless access for free, which is quite fast. You need to ask for the SSID security key, which is 26 characters in length. It's nice to see a cafe take wireless security seriously. There was a diverse group of people in the cafe doing all sorts of stuff on the computers ... Checking e-mail, Facebook, looking for jobs, etc. There were young folks, parents with young children, older folks, men and women. It was really a positive, happening place. The owner also assists patrons with every possible computer issue, including filling out forms, applying to jobs, viewing videos, and checking e-mail. He checked on me and asked me how my drink and pan were. I highly recommend Mi Oficina Computer Cafe for good drinks, good food, a friendly environment, and outstanding service. read more

All I have to say is...Capirotada... I have not been to the actual location, but I have certainly tried there pastries my god. Thanks to the wonderful farmers market hosted every Tuesday morning and Thursday evening in the ever so lovely To dos Santos park, I was fortunate enough to have stumbled upon this bakery's booth and there extremely Delicious treats offered. Once I saw there delicious array of pastries and muffins presented in front of me, I knew I could not resist and especially when I heard caramel bread pudding muffin?? Teh...HELLO!! I bought one for $3.00 and had some samples while there. One of the Pie de elote- which is a sweet corn cake as well as a few different samples of the 3 Leches Cakes and they were all super moist and out of this world delish!! But what really rocked my taste buds was the ab fab Capirotada...this amazing bread pudding muffin was everything I anticipated it to be and more....Moist to perfection and incredibly flavored, this certainly was the highlight of my friday morning! I have been back since to pick up some muffins for some friends ( that loved them) and tried some other samples which were all still yumazing!! My next visit will be there location! I do not usually leave reviews but I'll give it a try for this place. Due to living situation my husband and I find it easier to get work done outside of the house. We've been trying to find a quiet cafe that is conductive to getting work done. We're usually always disappointed. Starbucks and Peets are always to busy and loud, with not enough power to keep our devices going. Mom and pop shops dont take laptop users into account (its not their targeted customer, m'kay, I get it). This place? POWER everywhere. Seating right next to the outlets. Finally a place that takes those needing to work outside of the office into account! Free wifi, great pastries, okay coffee (I only tried the regular). Computers and a copier available (for a fee i presume). Its a cute little place, tucked away around the corner of a shopping center. The only downsides are the music and flies. The music is just to loud for anyone who wants to read or think, to be able to. And, sometimes flies happen. But this place seems to be doing nothing to mitigate them. They leave their door wide open. And where every other business has a bug zapper, not so here. OH, and avoid the bench with the matching table unless you want a sharp stabbing pain in your back. read more

I went here to have some meetings with my independent study students. Their website states they close at 9pm which was great because I had meetings scheduled till 7pm. I even called and left a message on their voicemail ensuring their hours but nobody called me back. So I drove the 1.5 hours there and got dropped off and my boyfriend took my car. It was 1:00. At 2:15 they came and told me they were closed at 2:00. I tried to show them their website but they didnt seem interested and just smiled and said sorry. I was completely stranded and had to walk 20 mins to a starbucks and contact 30 familes to notify them my location changed, loosing at least an hour of my time. I gave them 2 stars because the food I ate was good but honestly, you HAVE to have your hours right on your website or at least answer your phone. I wanted to like this place I really did... A really great little neighborhood coffee place and Internet cafe. 13 slick workstations with cameras and headset mikes. Computer fees are .10 per minute. We had the Tres Leches Latte and the Moka Maya Latte. Both were great. The Tres Leches was very smooth, rich and creamy, but not too sweet. The Moka Maya was amazingly rich and spicy, with a dark kick of coffee and chocolate. And that was a decaf! The flan was also nicely smooth and a extra "carmelly". Not the best flan I've ever had, but a great one to be sure. They have a lot of other great looking pastries and many varieties of coffee drinks and teas. The vibe when we were there (7:00 p.m. on Thursday) was very quiet and mellow. There are some comfy chairs as well as a couple of tables. We will definitely go back! read more

I was looking for someplace with decent coffee while my car was being fixed down the street. The coffee drink is essentially black coffee with cinnamon, spices and sugar - very flavorful. I was the only non-Spanish speaking patron during my visit, but felt very welcome. Old lady that works there very RUDE and has mental problems. I bought a coffee and I'm a frequent buy. But today I decided to buy coffee and also get something to eat from el Molino. Just the best damn coffee shop east of Caldecott Tunnel. Hidden treasure tucked away between excellent authentic taqueria in a strip mall on Monument Blvd, it's worth the effort to find it. Fresh baked pastries and hand crafted coffee drinks. Usually I hate the over used corporate smarmy term 'hand crafted'...but it's the right term for the drinks they make. I ordered a cappuccino and she ordered a Mexican hot chocolate and the alfajores (which she said she was trying to find for a long time.) I really like this place, the capp was OK but then again I think the hits are with their specialty drinks so I'll have to try one of those next time I visit. I had a cinnamon roll with my spiced coffee since the empanadas are only available Friday through Sunday, but it was sticky and cinnamon-y, as a cinnamon roll should be.
