    Watered coffee

Ordered 2 Large Moka Maya one iced and one hot. The hot one was boiling hot when I got it. It tasted like pure water with coffee as well as the iced one. Did not like any of them ended uo throwing them out. Will not be visiting this place again.

Okay, sooooooo I friggin' LOVE this place! It's tiny but bay-beh, it's mighty! YEEESSS! Now here comes the glowing review.... you just wait for it.... BAM! I honestly didn't expect much from this place. For one thing, it's practically hidden between a bunch of other Hispanic businesses in a tiny strip mall. Walking in, the inside isn't exactly appealing and they don't have very many "computers" for a "computer café". But that's not why I come here anyways. The real reason why I keep coming back is because of their scrumptious croissant breakfast sandwich! Dear GAAAWD! It's just... SO GOOD! It's literally just a fried egg, ham, and cheese on a croissant, but holy Geezus! They MUST be sprinkling some kind of fairy dust on that thang because I just can't seem to get enough of it. Their sammies always come stacked and loaded with melted cheese and a side of salsa. Salsa with a ham and cheese breakfast sammich, you ask?! USE IT! Their green salsa is da BEST-EST! It gives it such a wonderful flavor. When I don't feel like going out for a lavish breakfast, Mi Oficina is my new go-to! Aside from that addicting breakfast sammich, they also make yummy chai lattes and really good smoothies! Their chai lattes are packed with an abundance of spices, and I can honestly say that it's one of the best places to grab a chai in the 'Cord. Breakfast or "breffuss" as I say when I'm in a rush, is NO joke here! They hook it uuuup, up, up, UP! I'm ashamed to say that I'm so entranced by their breakfast sammich that I really haven't tried many other pastries. They carry a ton of homemade pastries, many of which are traditional Mexican favorites. They also make empanadas and pambazos which I look forward to trying once I get over my breakfast sammy addiction. The staff is friendly and efficient and I've never had to wait long to receive my order. Their prices are decent but they haven't changed their menu board in over 10 years! The prices listed on their menu are incorrect, so you should definitely inquire about their prices before you place your order. The first time I came in, I felt a bit uncomfortable because the men in that joint were staring me down like a hawk. Maybe I was looking extra hawwwt that day or maybe I had toilet paper stuck me or something? Who knows, but since then I've never felt uncomfortable coming back in. The bottom line is; you MUST come on down here to try this glorious breakfast sammy along with their chai latte! I promise that it'll be such an amazing "breffuss" for you!

Today I got a bagel with cream cheese,to go,when I got home I was so disappointed because they gave me a burned bagel! Why they did that!???

I'm not a frequent client here, I've had their café de olla and some pastries but today They gave me a burned bagel!!! The owner needs to train his employees because obviously they don't know how to TOAST a bagel properly!!! Is not the first time that they mess up my order. Never come back here.

The cutest couple owns this place What I had Cafe de Olla: DELICIOSO! it was very good, creamy, warm and that straight from my grandmother kitchen in Guadalajara taste to it. BFF had Mexican hot chocolate and was very good not overly creamy and not water down. The owner makes her own pastries; I did not have any but looked good. Service 5 stars all the way, we were greeted by warm smiles and just an over all good vibe. They have at least 10 computers including a Mac music station. They had an article up that was listed in the local newspaper about this guy who did not know how to use a computer and he would come to the cafe an the owners taught him how too , a big smile on my face as I read that. This place is well hidden, the parking is tight around here, the Mexican tortilleria is next door which is very popular as well.

    Moka maya
    Alexandra A.

The Moka Maya was probably one of the best coffee/espresso drink I've had. It was rich and frothy with the right amount of sweetness. The pastes were phenomenal. Papas (potato) was amazing (11/10) and the salchicha was great too (9/10). My favorite was the potato by far. The staff was very welcoming and sweet. I will definitely be returning!

To start, the employee working at the cash register was super friendly and gave great suggestions on drinks and food to order based on how sweet we like things or more coffee for we may want things to be. There isn't really any indoor seating space but they did build out into the parking lot with a few picnic tables and chairs for people to stay and eat their food. While we both really enjoyed the food - both of which were recommended by the employee - the coffee was not good at all. Pro: the avocado toast that we ordered had a curried chickpea salad on top and it had a delicious flavor. That was probably my favorite bite! We also shared half order of the blueberry waffle, and it had a type of granola on top that provided some really great textures. The food certainly impressed me. Con: Both of us felt like the coffee had none of the flavor that it was supposed to have (we both ordered the cardamom maple iced latte with macadamia nut milk) and instead, it just tasted like milk. It didn't even really have a coffee forward flavor. Since this is a coffee shop that was a pretty big disappointment. Overall, we enjoyed the food and service, but would skip the coffee.

The staff was friendly and there was plenty of parking in front and behind the cafe. It was well decorated, with big windows, an open-air bar, and cafe merchandise for sale. There was also a bulletin board advertising other businesses, a bathroom, and wifi options. It was a bit warmer this day, but there was a big fan in the front providing some air to the space. There was also a free or paid wifi option depending on the bandwidth one would need. I ordered the iced chai latte with caramel syrup and almond milk, which was a bit pricey for nearly $10. However, I will say it was delicious and made quickly. Probably the coolest thing here though was the co-working space. The front of the cafe had plenty of seating for people to talk or work. There was a hallway leading to the back room that had larger tables for bigger groups, implying more of a co-working or quieter space. Definitely appealing for people wanting a third space - will be back!

I assume it's true because their cup sizing has changed which I'm sadly disappointed. It's more open space/spacious and I had to create a new rewards account. Drink menu names changed slightly on kiosk and on the wall. They don't have that tacky shelf with plush, stuff, Knick knacks, for sale anymore. Drink still good, I don't think recipe has changed. I heard, then seen it for myself, the instagram post and stories shared by friends, of people dancing and partying at the shop late nights after hours. Then when I went in, also still had the sign up that said they did dance concert or hosted DJ nights at the shop. But Im also assuming it was under the old management and they must've got caught something doing something illegal or something they weren't suppose to be doing. The minus one star is for the cup sizing. Bring it back! Main reason why I love coming here, a good price for big cup size. Now it's like every other boba shop. Which is fine, but I won't go out of my way to come get boba here like I used to.

This was my first time visiting them again since the ownership change so it's been a minute. What I see here now is just depressing, not just because the place was empty, but it's now devoid of anything that felt like a spot someone would want to hangout at. No music, when I got in there was one person waiting for their food and nobody was even at the front counter for minutes before somebody finally came out from the back. Ordering is just through the kiosk now, which isn't a bad thing. The part that was really rough was the reason why I even came here; the boba. I got a regular milk tea which now they only have a single size. I miss the extra large size they used to have, but oh well. The next issue comes with how much the boba actually costs. They may have gotten rid of the extra large cup sizes, but they're still charging the almost the same amount for it in a much smaller cup. What a deal, right? And we get to the actual drink. When the person making the drink after receiving your order finishes within a minute of making it, it's never a good sign. Why is that? Well, they had premade jug of milk tea ready to pour out for your tasting pleasure. When you have a premade jug of milk tea, it's never a good sign. While I've had them at other places that have done this before, and it's ranged from bad to mediocre, the one here at Milk Tea Lab, now, was in a word, rancid. It was incredibly gross with absolutely no redeeming qualities to it. I generally try not to be so harsh, but this was really not it and I couldn't even finish the boba because of how bad the milk tea was. It's sad to see how big of a dropoff this spot has become compared to what it used to be. This isn't like when they first opened where there were only 2-3 boba spots right next to them. Now there's at least a handful of options within a few minutes away, and dozens of spots within a mile or two, and this is what they're pushing out? It's a shame but this Milk Tea Lab which was their starter store is no longer a place I would ever go back to for boba. It's time is now past with this new ownership.
