    Tostada grande

I've always wanted to try this place based on the outside very vibrant and colorful and the ambiance certainly did trickle into the inside. When we went it was very busy so that was a good sign for sure!! Staff on the phone/ at the counter was very kind . We called in a to go order of nachos with just beans and cheese and a "tostada grande" which intrigued me because it was prepared on a homemade fry bread. I haven't had fry bread in years! They even included chips and salsa in the bag (nice touch lots of places I don't think do that for some appetizers orders only. We settled in for the World Cup at home and holy cow everything was delicious! Jalapeños weren't too hot and the fry bread was thinner than I was used to but it was fantastic' and all of this was like $25 dollars if that !!! Well worth it will be back !!!

Looked online for a popular Mexican food place while on vacation in Phoenix. When we arrived the atmosphere was awesome. People laughing and talking and enjoying themselves. The chips and salsa was amazing and the food was equally delicious! Highly recommend if you are looking for authentic Mexican Food while in the area!

My coworker and I wanted Mexican food and it wasn't too far from our hotel. We were greeted warmly and after being seated our server came with chips and salsa. Like the hostess, he was also friendly. The restaurant has a fun, vibrant setting, lots of cool decor. We both ordered the Carne Asada Plate and it was great. The Pico de Gallo was excellent and it comes with rice, beans and a flour tortilla. I thought $21 for the Carne Asada was a good price. I would definitely return when in town again.

Best green chilli burrito ! Strawberry Margs! Friendly service and unlimited chips and salsa! My new favorite local Mexican spot!!

We were immediately greeted with a very wonderful young lady, Tammy. Felt like we'd been long time besties. She graciously led the way to a sweet booth. The ambiance was bright, inviting and clean. Hubby and I were very pleased with the classic oldies playing as we sang a bit while waiting for our food. She remained attentive throughout our meal and kind to bring us a surprise shot of something tasty. Came back with fresh hot chips and salsa, then our drinks from the bar. Took our main order and must say we weren't disappointed. Fresh, hot and tasty Beef Fajitas w/ rice and beans and I had the Chile Relleno w/ rice and beans. Delicious ~ every bite. The 2 Margaritas I had were on point as well! Thank you for the great start to our 25th Wedding anniversary ~ we've been coming here for years, but it'd been awhile, we'll be back...

Ordered to go at this place for dinner. The parking was very easy, and the restaurant seemed welcoming when we walked in with a cozy and relaxed ambiance. The staff was friendly and quick to assist us when we came to pick up the food. We arrived 10 minutes before the pickup time, but unfortunately, the food seemed to have been sitting out, as it was at room temperature when we got home just a few minutes later. The burritos we had were lacking in flavor, which was a bit of a letdown, and the chips that came with them were stale. The red salsa was a bright spot, though - it was flavorful and had a nice, spicy kick. Overall, while the service was great, the food didn't live up to expectations. Hopefully, it was just an off day!

Mi Patio is one my favorite restaurants! We go there almost weekly. Nothing fancy or trendy, actually it's a little divey. But you can expect solid Mexican food with fantastic service at a very fair price. I usually get the mini chimichangas or the cheese enchiladas while my partner always gets the tacos or fajitas. It keeps us coming back!

I've come in here often for the last 15 years. The roasted chicken on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays is the absolute best! They have epic specials and when it came time for Christmas tamales I was floored with how pricy they were but after I had one I was hooked. The flavor and the size were so impressive. I will never get tamales from my family anywhere else!

A group of us came after a work event for a little happy hour and some food. And we were not disappointed. It was such a warm & family friendly environment, we were treated and seated right away. The service was consistent from the start to finish. Our drinks and meals came very quickly but while we waited we had a complimentary salsa and chips that were consistently refilled; the chips were so fresh and the salsa was DELICIOUS !!! We kind of all shared dishes but my favorite was the nachos ! Get the Nachos!!!!! Trust me! Everything was delicious and I can't wait to return again !!!!!

But I wanted something hearty after donating blood the day before at Phoenix Fan Fusion. I felt like I didn't eat enough to replenish all of the corpuscles I shed, so a hearty late breakfast was in order. I was pleasantly thrilled with my choice of Presidio Cocina Mexicana, as the late breakfast I ordered did not disappoint! I ordered the Chilaquiles, which are essentially breakfast nachos, and you have a choice of protein to add. I chose the birria beef which was perfectly slow-cooked and complemented the corn tortilla chips, cheese, and eggs superbly. I opted for both the red chile and green chile sauce which coated the chips along with a generous layer of tangy cotija cheese. I asked for the eggs scrambled and they cooked them just how I like them... fairly dry and in a thin griddled layer. Add to this mound of well-seasoned goodness a decent dolloping of Tapatio hot sauce (and salt and pepper on the eggs) and I had endless perfect bites of spicy, meaty brekkie goodness that brought delighted yummy sounds from my grateful gullet! This was quality food and the couple at the bar next to me raved about the Menudo, so it has all the hallmarks of authentic Mexican fare. It restored me from borderline anemic to my usual strutting rugged caballero self. "¡Arriba, arriba! ¡Ándale, ándale!"

The restaurant is inside of an old brick home with wood interior and warm colors. The service was good-- friendly and food came out at a good pace, we were checked on regularly. We ordered an appetizer and then entrees from the lunch menu. The aguachile appetizer is SO good. It's bright, fresh, and has a lot of flavor in the green sauce. It reminds me of a ceviche type dish due to its raw butterflied shrimp that is marinated in the house made chile serrano & cilantro citrus sauce. It was awesome. We were also given free chips & house made bean dip. I ordered the mixed two item plate with a chile rellano and taco corazon (grilled taco dipped in a red chile sauce, stuffed with shredded beef & melted cheese. Topped with grilled onions). The black beans and rice is also tasty. I tried a bite of the other dishes, and I also really liked the brightly colored spinach & cheese enchiladas with pink sauce ( signature beet sauce). I look forward to trying other items from the menu, I was eyeing the steak Mexicano or red snapper. Those dishes sound good for dinner.

Also bring a group. The portions are huge and the food is clearly meant to be shared. Trust me on this one, bring friends. I've tried a bunch of dishes here, and there are a few I always go back to. For the table, Camarones Locos is an easy choice. The flame grilled shrimp comes out hot and full of flavor, perfect for passing around. La Patrona ceviche tower is massive and worth the order. When it hits the table, you immediately feel good about the decision. El Pulpazo is technically an entrée, but we always order it as a shareable. The octopus is grilled perfectly and it comes with rice and beans, so everyone gets a little of everything. For entrées, my number one pick is the Lobster and Crab Enchiladas with green sauce. I think about this dish at least once a week. The enchiladas are packed with lobster and crab, and the green sauce ties the whole thing together. Honestly, I could talk about this place all day. Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. But for management to ring up our bill and then come confront us in an inflammatory manner, making us feel like we were wrong, on an occasion to celebrate something special, was extremely disappointing.
