Their online ordering system doesn't match their menu. So you order online from the link on their website and when uou arrive, they don't have most of your order available. They didn't bother to call me as other restaurants have done, to tell me they couldn't fulfill the order. They also seemed surprised I wanted a refund. Food here can be hit and miss. I usually order the carne asada super burrito which sometimes has tons of fat gristle. Good flavor but the laziness to not trim the fat ruins it. Also, they recently started charging extra for chips. I'll probably start patronizing mi ranchito from now on. Chips are free there lol. read more

Ordered a Birria order thru Uber Eats and they sent order with absolutely no condiments for it. I spoke to manager and they asked me to go get them! If I ordered Uber Eats its clearly because I could not go pick up anything. When I asked if they could do anything else they said no. I mentioned I would review business and manager said she did not care. Horrible customer service. Birria needs onion, cilantro and lime any good restaurant would know that and not ask a customer to go get it because they forgot to include. So we have always seen this restaurant while driving on the freeway to Forestville to visit our son's family and always wanted to eat there as we loved the authentic look of the building . So we stopped for dinner this past Saturday. Atmosphere inside is nice and properly decorated . My wife had a mango margarita which she said was delicious. The chips were tasty and salsa was good and the warm bean dip was excellent ! She had a chile rellano with rice and beans and I had the carnitas torta. She loves trying chile rellanos at different restaurants and she said this was nothing special and the rice and beans did not pop out as having an authentic flavor . My torta was one of the best I have tasted in a Mexican restaurant and you won't go wrong with ordering that. Service was good and seating was comfortable . One nice to big is they have "happy hour" everyday if the week but the drawback was you had to order and sit in the bar area. While dining at Mi Pueblo on Monday evening in Cotati with my sister three young men were seated at the adjoining booth behind us. They were very loud and kept slamming their hands on the table constantly jumping up and down from the table and pushing back on the high backed booth that it was being pushed on my sisters back. I asked them to knock it off as we could not even talk at our table as we could not hear each other speak. Several of the employees walked by and stared at them with no words being exchanged. I spoke to the kids nicely one more time then it got worse. I finally went over to their table and told them that if they could not control themselves that they needed to leave as others were also staring at them and shaking their heads at how awful they were. I then took our check to the cashier and told them that I refused to pay our check as we didn't even finish our food. We tipped our waitress Mariel and went on our way. I heard from people within the restaurant that this was the owners son. So to the owner of Mi Pueblo. I have been a steady customer of yours for many, many years. If this type of behavior is acceptable in your restaurant I will not be back. If this indeed was your son he needs a talking to. read more

Ok, so wow! They completely redecorated during the COVID lockdown and it's gorgeous inside. I was really impressed. It felt like being in my cousins backyard! Our server, Flor, was so nice and very kind. I was particularly happy about that being our first time out since the lockdown. Again, we've always had great meals here, though we don't get in here often enough. My husband had a shrimp dish, and I had one that was Chicken with cream sauce and vegetables. They bring out chips, salsa, and bean dip to start and they will ask if you want more chips. The service was a bit slow after she took our order, but it was absolutely full and Valentine's Day, so we just held hands and talked. When the food came out it was piping hot and oh, so delicious. We had to take part of it home, and I'm looking forward to leftovers. I rarely look forward to leftovers. Once our favorite family-friendly go-to, we have experienced a string of disappointing experiences at Mi Pueblo in Cotati. We used to go 3-4 times a month but each time in the last several months have experienced the same inconsistencies. We are almost always assigned the same server who either chooses not to listen, or just doesn't understand what we're saying. She constantly brings me and charges me for a large beer when I specifically order a small , even in Spanish. She disappears for very long periods of time while we wait for food and then after we finally have it, leaving our tiny water glasses and chips empty. My son, a lover of their chips and the bean dip, decided he wanted to visit for his recent birthday to celebrate, so we made a reservation for a large party of 9. Again, the issues were plenty: large beer when I ordered small, California burrito with no meat (despite it being included), nonexistent water refills, miscommunication about included elements of several other dishes, and then general disappearance after we finished eating and were waiting to sing to the birthday boy. Top that off with the new limit and charge for chips and the ever-increasing prices, I am sad to say we will probably not be back anytime soon. Overall, we like the food, it is fine and generally consistent, but the service has made us feel that we are not welcome and we are taking the hint. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I had a party there. They were very hard to get a hold of to plan for the event. I should have known then to cancel and I wish I did. Finally after calling and going to the restaurant multiple times I was able to talk to a "manager" to decide on the details. When we arrived the room was set up for a party twice our size. I literally had to move tables and chairs out of the room to make it comfortable for my party. In the end we were over charged for our party and they would not apologize or offer compensation. I'm bummed because I have been coming to this restaurant for a long time. Moving forward I will choose to go to Mi Ranchito right down the street. Having a party here seems like a good idea due to their private room option. But overall they are totally unorganized. I was not able to enjoy my party like I was looking forward to. read more
