Lunch Spinach Enchiladas
Eileen S.

The lunch spinach enchiladas was decent and well priced. The Mexican corn felt watery and blend like it was frozen. My colleague likes the margaritas there but we couldn't order it during our work lunch. She recommended their huge to-go margarita.

Everything about our visit this evening was great. We requested outside seating and were promptly seated. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the enchiladas Mexicana which included a cheese, ground beef, and shredded chicken enchilada. It was accompanied by rice and a nice tomato salad. The salad was fresh and cold. Everything else was very hot. The chips and salsa were great and the salsa had a little bit of spice in it. we ordered the Texas jumbo margarita which was a little sweet for my taste but it packed a punch. Overall it was a very enjoyable meal. It surprised me that for the amount of food that I got for the price I paid, $11.50, what a great great value that was. The Margarita was only about nine dollars.

First time visiting. We sat on the patio. A little chilly. The ambience is nice enough considering what the place used to be. Server was attentive. I enjoyed my meal and thought it was good value for the price. I also tried the guacamole, rice and beans from others and didn't care for the rice and beans. Pricing for lunch was fair. Regular salsa was a little too spicy for our liking and our little one didn't like her meal really at all. We would go back but probably not with her or order her something different.

for it being a chain type restaurant they have taken it up several notches with the quality of Food. Then add great service any questions about the menu answered and great decor nothing tacky but very classy makes it an all around win

The Mexican restaurants just keep coming. The Mi Pueblo restaurant cartel is spreading out to get their piece of the pie. Their other restaurants are in Sand Springs and the OKC area. I have been to the Sand Springs restaurant and enjoyed it. Both are consistent in quality, flavorful food and good service. As you would expect from an OkieMex restaurant, their menu encompasses all things Mexican food and drinks. [Their large Menu can be found online] Mi Pueblo is not a phenomenal stand out from the hordes, but certainly a good place to dip a chip and appreciate a cold fermented agave drink. Solid OkieMex.

Nothing on the plates was bad, but.......the fries were the best…read more That sums it up. Even though the food wasn't bad, I still wouldn't recommend El Bunker to a friend. The restaurant's focus is seafood. They also offer a variety of typical Mexican fare, in addition to the seafood. Their menu is available on line at their website. The details... It is not OKIEMEX. And that's fine. Mexican food comes in many varieties. I like to try varieties. This particular variety I don't favor. It just wasn't good enough to get enthusiastic about. Starting with the disappointing salsa. It was a replication of spaghetti sauce served hot (as in temperature) and hot (as in taste) from red chili pepper. Heavy on the oregano. Other than bottled sauce there are no other options. The beverage situation seems to be very limited. No diet Coke. We had the "Milanese de Pollo" and the "Filete de Pescado a la Diabla." Both generous, large portions, served on plates able to accommodate the amount of food. Milanese de Pollo was two thin chicken breasts, coated with a good layer of bread crumbs and deep fried. It was served with very lightly seasoned beans and rice. The beans were different. A hint of cinnamon was noticeable. The tilapia filet was grilled and covered with a decent "Diabla" style sauce. Good burn as it should have, and thankfully, not mouth blistering. The rice; meh. Each meal had a sampling of salad [just for presentation I guess] with a miniscule drip of dressing. The dry salad made no contribution to the enjoyment of the meal. Well then. Nothing on the plates was bad, but.......the fries were the best. This restaurant was previously operated as "Miami Nights." The facility, furnishings and upkeep seem to have deteriorated some, since our visit in early 2020. Service: Friendly and adequate

I really wish I remembered the drink I had the first time around, what I do remember is that it was really good. The drink I had recently was the Don Diego de La Ve & it's something I'd get again + would be my usual. Anything tequila, it's automatic (rum is right there at a very close 2nd) when it comes to an alcohol beverage + cocktail. Has addition of ancho reyes, a chile liqueur, that's super subtle in the drink along with lemon lime & agave. My homie looked at my drink & said that's something he should've ordered. *Side Note* I took a look at the menu & I'm convinced I had the Cousin Eddie (when I first visited this place). As I stated that rum is a close 2nd to tequila & the Cousin Eddie has Bumbu (rum) that I already enjoy on its own.

I ordered apricot iced tea, the vegan fried chicken sandwich, and pineapple upside-down cake. I don't normally like chicken sandwiches that much, but this was really good. And the highlight was getting to choose any of the salads on the menu as the side salad that comes with it. I had the hearts of palm salad with vegan cheese instead of the usual parmesan. It was delicious! I also got to try the cauliflower wings and a bite of the Korean BBQ tofu sandwich. I liked that sandwich too, but not as much. I do like the way they fried the tofu, but it seemed different than what was described on the menu. It seemed just deep fried, but not battered. My only complaint is the layout of the building and the lack of directional signage. I didn't park in the parking lot, so I didn't know to enter from the back and I ended up on a long confusing walk both outside and inside the building before I finally reached the dining room.

Seated promptly without a reservation. Nice vibe, retro theme. Tyler, our server was wonderfully engaging, made good food recommendations, really appeared to be a good human, and made a good meal better ... Salmon cakes appetizer were a nice start, the salads were memorable -- fresh and refreshing -- and my crusted salmon was a completely satisfying entree and I loved the crunch (good portion size, great sauce, and accompaniments). And, Tyler made a great pot of coffee ... strong, rich flavor. I thought it was excellent value. Thanks Tyler!
