Saw this place while passing through at the mall so had to try them out. Got mulitas with chorizo, al pastor and asada. Mulitas are basically mini quesadillas. Kids liked them. They were good and I really enjoyed their sauces. They gave me 3 different kinds and I particularly liked their orange and green sauces. Called in my order and it was ready for pick up when I arrived. This is located inside the mall so there's plenty of parking. Check them out!

This place could have potential but they need to either lower their prices or give more food portions on their plates. Paid for aguachillies and 3 birria tacos and 2 drinks all came out to be $47, but the food wasn't even worth it maybe if the meat was fresher and the consomé wasn't watery. Also the Aguachillies were way over salted and the portion was very little. Chipotle gives better portions at this point. Overall their service was nice and they even gave me extra taco sauces but unfortunately the food wasn't very good. Maybe I'll give it another try but I won't be going back anytime soon.

Everytime me and my wife goes to northridge mall, we always pass on this mexican spot because where we live, there are so many mexican streetfood around. This morning 2/1/25 we were strolling northridge mall and decided to give this spot a chance. And we glad we did! We ordered just the 2 asada, 2 pastor tacos and a chicken burrito just to try it first,,, and they didn't disappoint!! Their meat especially the pastor are very very good. Very tasty and delicious. They are as good as the mexican streetfood tacos and burritos we have in our place. And what good about this place is their price is very reasonable considering they are located inside a mall! $3 for a taco which is the same price when you buy it in the streets. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean place, and service is very fast.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely we'll be back to this place for more

New to the Northridge Shopping Mall. Mi Ranchito exceeded our expectations. we had: 1. Cali Burrito 2. Carnitas Tacos 3. Torta de Asada prompt service and well served for mall prices. from what i heard amongst the people who work there is that they really like this place. when we visited we were in luck because they had no line but shortly after they became busy. they do have Agua frescas. i had their Jamaica flavor. the kitchen seemed a bit confused as they were receiving the orders from the cashier. salsas were delicious. different heat levels so it can fit anyone's pallet. ill be trying something new next time!

Chicken bowl. . So so so bad!

The worst mexican food I have ever had . And on top of that they didn't close the top if that horrible tasting salsa bottle and I poured it all over my food and iPhone and tray .

First time to buy food here. I enjoyed very much their tacos - al pastor and carnitas. The salsa variation is good too. $3.50 per taco is reasonable knowing they rent a place inside the mall which is super expensive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is clean when we dined in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff seems nice too. I will be back again to try their other items in the menu.

New Place to eat here at the mall. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's clean and you can tell it's all new.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was greeted and helped quickly on a Saturday.afternoon. I ordered quesadilla with carne asada and it came out in about 5min. The plate had some onions, radishes and limes on it along with 3 salsas. The meals was under 14 dollars and filled me up. All in all not too bad. It was flavorful and quick what's not to enjoy.

I finally had a chance to come to this place to try it in the Northridge Mall food court. I walked past it a couple of times but never had the chance until today. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I came during the afternoon, they weren't that busy like only 2 people in front of me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I looked at their menu to see what should I get for my wife. I figure she would like the mulita and hortacha so that's what I got for her. I got her the mulita with asada and they only have 1 big size of the hortacha. I saw at the cashier area that they charge a service fee of almost 4 percent on all sales. My hortacha was handed to me first and then I had to wait for my number to be called to pick up my food. There no speaker here so stay near the pickup window. Once she called out my order number, I went to pick it up and she told me all the salsa were in the bag. When I got home, I gave my wife her food and she told me the mulita was okay with their spicy orange sauce. She really like the hortacha more because it reminded her of another Mexican place in Glendale. They give a decent size of the mulita and enough portion of the carne asada in it when I tried it. They give you some radish and lemon as well in the plate. Next time we'll try out their tacos or ceviche.

Tacos are mediocre, and expensive. My chorizo meat for my taco was raw and not fully cooked first and last time I come here.

In a city where Mexican food is probably the primary dining option; one might think that it is all…read morethe same: that a taco here is the same as a taco there. This line of thinking is completely false as each region and state in Mexico has distinct flavors, cultural preparations and unique ingredients. Luckily in the City of Angels; we have access to all of these styles whereas everyone can pick and choose their favorite! I was in the North Hills/Mission Hills area and decided Mexican was going to be the meal of the day - and thanks to the trusty Yelp app: Tacos al Tijuanense was the winner to satisfy my hunger pang. If you are a longtime LA resident or born-and-raised within the city limits and can swear to Tacos al Tijuanense sounding familiar/remembering that it was a food truck... Then your memory doesn't deceive you. Tacos al Tijuanense birthed as a food truck in 1987 quickly gaining popularity for its smoked meats and Tijuana-inspired flavors serving tacos, vampiros, quesadillas, birria tacos, etc; loaded with fresh toppings and offering a variety of meats for the protein selection. The LA love for Tacos al Tijuanense caused such popularity that the food truck expanded into brick-and-mortar locations with several now spread throughout the city. The North Hills location of Tacos al Tijuanense holds real estate near the Woodly/Nordhoff intersection in a small strip plaza shopping center that seems half sleepy and half eyebrow-raising. But, as most of us know, the hidden gems are usual the best spots so don't be deterred by such businesses like the sketchy massage parlor next door. In fact, diners will be pleasantly surprised when crossing the threshold of the entrance to find an airy interior with high ceilings, natural light, wooden accents and the combination of a trendy- almost gastropub sticking to the food truck theme (there is even a food truck motif behind the order counter) that feels like a party. Tacos al Tijuanense is not what you would expect from the outside! Tacos al Tijuanense is fast-casual meaning you order behind the counter and take a number to the table of your choice. After browsing the menu, my boyfriend chose a Quesadilla (13" tortilla filled with protein of your choice, jack cheese, cilantro and salsa with my boyfriend picking chicken - $13) and a Vampiro (toasted corn tortilla layered with jack cheese, choice of meat, onions, cilantro and salsa with al pastor - $3). For my order, I also went with a Vampiro but with chicken while also ordering Nachos to share with carne asada. When our plates arrived, we were surprised to see the size of the portions. Everything at Tacos al Tijuanense is large and in charge and they most certainly do not skimp! The fillings are overflowing with bright, fresh ingredients, toppings are numerous and the size overall makes everything shareable. My Vampiro was crisp with delicious guacamole that added a refreshing element and tender, tasty chicken. My favorite was my boyfriend's Quesadilla which was gooey, warm and perfect. You can't go wrong with a quesadilla! But we have to talk about the nachos because these nachos are HUGE! This is party size and could generously feed three people. The carne asada was heavenly and the chips tasted homemade. The only slightly "meh" factor was that the cheese atop the nachos was canned cheese and we would have preferred melted shredded cheese. This wouldn't have been such an issue had the canned cheese been in a rational amount but it seemed like a Costco-sized can poured onto these chips! These nachos were hidden under cheese glop! Regardless, they were still delicious. Tacos al Tijuanense holds true to its almost 40-year-old fame with affordable prices, delicious food, large portions giving you a bang for your buck and a surprisingly inviting ambiance. Tacos al Tijuanense is definitely recommended and the North Hills location is much recommended despite its odd plaza placement.

She provided outstanding service from start to finish. She was friendly, attentive, and constantly checked on us to make sure our drinks were full and that we had everything we needed. The food was excellent. I'm especially picky about guacamole because most restaurants don't season it enough, but this was one of the best I've had. I still think Chipotle has my favorite guacamole, but this was a very close second. It was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of salt. The chips were also great--light, crispy, and not overly thick. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken and shrimp fajitas. Both were cooked perfectly, well-seasoned, and served with just the right amount of grilled onions and peppers. I also really liked the flour tortillas. They were soft, fresh, and the perfect complement to the fajitas. We also ordered the carne asada skirt steak, and it was outstanding. It had a great smoky char on the outside, was packed with flavor, and was cooked perfectly. The only downside is the parking, but that's really not the restaurant's fault. The area is just extremely busy, so finding a spot can take a little patience. Overall, this is my favorite Mexican restaurant I've tried so far. They were well made and delicious. I could definitely drink a couple of them. In regards to the food, I enjoyed my tacos but my only complaint is if I'm being charged $20 for ribeye tacos, there should be way more meat in each taco. I feel like they skimmed on the meat, which I didn't appreciate, especially at that price point. Other than that, service was prompt and the interior was pretty. I would definitely come back for those margaritas. I believe they have weekday happy hour, so I might check that out for a more affordable experience.
