I just went through. I know that I ordered a number five and they asked what kind of enchilada and I said cheese and I am quite sure they said s that back. I don't know if they gave me the wrong order, because the price seemed accurate, but it was entirely a different meal and at that even beef not cheese. I was more or less okay eating what they did give me, but the person behind me probably also got the wrong order. I was definitely disappointed though that I did not get exactly what I was craving. it definitely does not help that you cannot hear them in the Drive-Thru at all. you think that they are saying back accurately what you ordered but it's so hard to hear that you say okay. read more

You'd think this restaurant would be good with it being in SD county, but I'd say it was very disappointing... The price is average, but the food was flavorless and just didn't really feel or taste fresh at all. Avoid Mi Ranchito until they get it together. I ordered two Carne Asada Burritos and it came out to $25.00. If the burritos were large, good quality, and had great flavor then I wouldn't mind; but this wasn't the case with Mi Ranchito. The burritos were small and there was more tortilla than anything else inside of them. The meat had little to no flavor, lettuce was soggy and yellow, tomato's were pale, and the only fresh things were the onions and tortilla; but even the tortilla was just decent. Everything tasted old and had little to no flavor. I had to drench each bite with salsa just to get through my meal. Worse of all, for whatever reason, I had what seemed to be like mayonnaise in my burrito and it just tasted like a soggy burger to be honest. It just not authentic Mexican food. Service was good and the inside is nice. If Mi Ranchito is trying to save money or whatever, I don't believe overpricing small portions is the way to go about it. Overall, I'm not coming back here until they fix up on some things and if you're wanting authentic Mexican food, just go to another restaurant down the street. read more

Grew up in Ramona going to Mi Ranchito. Now every time I go to town and want Mexican food I stop by. Their flautas are literally the best! We also got an order of carne asada crazy fries and those are always bomb! The staff was all really nice. I love when you eat in they give the squirt bottles of salsa. This is absolutely disturbing since Covid. Your prices have become astronomical and every time we ask for something special we get charged, but you can't do your job. We hate this liquid guacamole and we always pay extra for Mexican guacamole. Your meat is dry and look at your roll tacos!!! What a joke!!! I think you should have someone from another taco shop in Ramona like La cocina teach you how to do this. You are also very rude to your customers, I keep telling my family don't go there anymore. So this place has gotten new management/ owners the last couple months, and they are making some really great food and have very friendly people helping me out at the drive through. I've only been here twice since the change, but I'm compelled to write a review to give my opinion, which I don't do that often. Mi Ranchito is an amazing restaurant by a guy who knows restaurants and customers.. The food is dang fantastic. Lobster burrito. Sounds great, add bacon and a chipotle cream sauce no problem. out of this world. Double bacon? Don't get me started. Fish burrito with scallops shrimp and crab?? Oh and bacon. Off the charts. The cashier has quite the attitude. I paid with credit card. She kept pushing the tip jar at me. It's counter service, not table service! By law she makes minimum wage and tips on top of that. Mi Ranchito makes an outstanding order of flautas! I ordered two for $4.50. You can get them individually for $2.25 each. The flautas rest atop a bed of shredded lettuce, then are topped with sour cream and shredded cheese. The whole thing is served on a narrow foam tray. For decades I've eaten flautas at various taco shops throughout SoCal and these are pretty average sized. I've been to some places where they come out looking like small chimichangas! Here at Mi Ranchito they tasted just fine and two filled me up. They are filled with a fairly conservative amount of tender shredded beef. Tortilla was nice and crispy; they were not at all greasy. I thought the amount of sour cream on top was reasonable and appropriate. Any more and it would have turned into a hot mess. read more

We wanted to try a different Taco shop other than the one we normally go to and it was a big mistake going to this one. I ordered Carne Asada chips, a chorizo and papa burrito, and a small side of fries -- those three items came out to a total of about $28. Which price wise is pretty consistent to where we normally go. However, the food was such a disappointment. The carne asada nachos were cold and not from the sour cream. The meat literally was cold to the touch as if it had been sitting out for hours and plopped onto a tray of chips with toppings. The chorizo burrito had crunch to it -- which we could only hope were egg shells. Now, I did call them to let them know the carne asada nachos were cold and they offered a refund or replacement. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and opted for the replacement. However, the replacement still wasn't good. Only the meat on the top portion of the nachos were actually "warm" and I'm being generous by even saying that. The only item that we actually decent was the side of fries, which were crispy and fresh. I commend the restaurant for trying to rectify the situation. Unfortunately though, bottom line is the quality and food itself just isn't good. read more

I'm ok with spending a little extra if the burritos are good sized... well tonight the burritos are 1/2 the side as normal and more expensive than normal. I love Carnitas tacos. I don't understand why they don't know how to make Carnitas what they served instead was pieces of pork shoulder without any seasoning, and you could tell that they were cutting it off of a fully cooked shoulder and then frying it on a griddle, which makes it extremely dry and tough to chew. My family and I have been going here for years, but I picked up 4 bean and cheese burritos on Saturday, June 1st, 2024, and everyone who ate even half of the burrito was experiencing horrible food poisoning. This was easily the worst food poisoning I've ever had and I only ate a third of one burrito. My husband ate two and had to take off work because it's been so bad. This place is horrible! The rolled tacos were hand made and big but had absolutely no flavor. The "chunky guacamole" was just a mashed up avocado with nothing else. I asked for pico on top. Maybe in 37 years I haven't been to enough taco shops but I have never had spicy carrots with onion count as pico. Now as if that wasn't bad enough...I ordered 2 quesadillas for my kids and it was literally a giant tortilla with American cheese squares...you know the cheese that's individually wrapped that will last in your refrigerator for decades and still be good? Yes...it had 3 cheese squares on the bottom portion and one square ripped in half for the top, and to top it all off it wasn't even melted. I paid $3.50 for that! I went here with my family and it was a not a good experience at all. My mom placed all our orders, and for some reason, they missed hers, we got all our food but her. I went up and asked where it was and they apologized and made it, then the worker comes over to our table and asks her to pay for it, since it wasn't rung up in the first place. It should have been on the house for being their mistake!! My daughter ordered a quesadilla and the cheese wasn't even melted, we addressed the issue and they made another one which was no better, unmelted shredded cheese in a tortilla. Terrible food, misleading cashier. Tonight my party's order was simple: one Egg, Potato, and Cheese burrito, and ten rolled tacos with guacamole and cheese. I asked for "No sour cream on anything, please." The cashier said "The rolled tacos don't have sour cream. Just lettuce, guacamole, and cheese." Perfect, thanks, then my order does not deviate from the menu at all. Should be fine. NOPE! Their guacamole is mostly sour cream, with something that gives it a sickly green tint. Avocado? Maybe, but I certainly don't taste it through all the sour cream I asked not be included. The rolled tacos are 2/3rds full of ground beef, if I'm rounding up. They're mostly just fried, rolled-up tortillas. The parts that weren't soggy from the "guacamole" had a nice texture, but they were by no means worth the cost. The breakfast burrito was flavorless. This baffled me. I don't know how none of the flavors came through. I expected bad quality ingredients, but it straight up had no flavor. No salt, no grease, no sulfuric, past-prime egg, nothing. I very rarely go here, and am reminded why every time. I guess it's my fault for giving it more chances than it deserves. If you're in town and craving Mexican food, skip this hole. If you want drive-through, go to Mananas or Rancheros. If you want better quality food, go to Mariscos del Mar de Cortez. Their service is hit-and miss, but they have the best Mexican food in town, by a long shot. read more
