Our first time here the food was really good and our server Eddy was very nice. The place was very pretty

the years for dinner and food, service, pricing and atmosphere has been inviting to come back. On July 10, the handheld showed a ticket with queso priced same as the entrees which was a surprise. We adding queso for our chips not knowing it would be a charge of $12.25. Asked the waiter why would we be charged that amount as it was only .60 cents lower price than our entrees. He said it was the correct price. We were not aware or accustomed to be charged that as we were just getting a dish of queso. Told him I was not comfortable paying that amount maybe $6 would be appropriate. Can you make an adjustment? Answer was no. Still gave him a 22% monetary tip and told him I was dissatisfied with no assistance to my concern. Explain this to the manager Ezekiel and asked could you help with this and print a paper receipt? His response was you "looked at the menu and saw the price" ‍ Saw the receipt. No adjustment so I asked again what could he do which he again said that is the price on the menu which I again said it was not what we ordered. Asked for a GM or voicemail to contact another manager, he said neither exists. Asked for an email which he said the owners name is Juan so put that first. After leaving, I did call the main number and the hostess hung up twice with her first response was "I am busy with customers". Second call she said *I told you I will tell our manager to call you". Great place to eat. The employees are super friendly. Plenty of seating. The food came out piping hot and had great flavor. The house salsa is not refrigerated nor spicy which was slightly disappointing but it had a decent flavor. Everything was very flavorful and seasoned well. read more

I had lunch here today... and was surprised at how busy they were considering the location in the little strip mall, does not look like it would see an overload of business. They did have a lunch menu, prices averaged around $12-$15 for lunch, but I opted to go off lunch menu and get the enchiladas suizas. I am a sucker for a good green enchilada, no matter how many times I try to break that habit, I always know I can count on enchilada suizas to be good pretty much anywhere they are offered. Mi Rancho was no exception. And apparently I was even hungrier than I thought, because I had no problem finishing 95% of my 3 enchiladas with beans and rice plate. Along with a 'way too much' intake of the chips and salsa before the meal arrived. I don't usually go out of my way to mention the salsa that is served when you sit down, but this salsa was really good, I went thru the first little bowl (not the right word, but you know the little dish I am referring to) and a second little 'bowl' was set down at the table just as I was considering asking for more. Great service. The tea was good, fresh and strong, and they remembered the requested lemon. If you don't normally use lemon for your tea or water, you won't understand why I mention this, but for those of you who always say, like I do... 'unsweet tea with lemon', and then never seeing that requested lemon, you get me. So with all that being said, if you are looking for a good mexican restaurant in 2920 /TC Jester area of Spring, this is my recommendation. Mi Rancho - no mas!!!!! I realize that just like other businesses, Mi Rancho has had to make some tough choices to keep their business going. But enough is enough!!! I stopped by to get some refried beans and chips and salsa to augment my meal and my total - when you factor in all the bullshit fees and add-ons - came out to just shy of $17!!!!!!! are you freaking kidding me!!!!!!!!??????? as my Brit friends would say, "They're takin' the piss!!!" I usually don't leave reviews, but the customer service here was so disappointing I felt I had to say something. From the moment we walked in, the staff seemed completely uninterested in helping us. We waited far too long to even be acknowledged, let alone seated, despite there being plenty of empty tables. Once we did sit down, it took forever to get our drinks, and our server barely checked in on us the entire time. When we asked a simple question about one of the dishes, the server seemed annoyed and gave us a rushed, vague answer. The worst part? When our food finally came out, it was wrong -- and instead of apologizing or fixing it quickly, they just shrugged it off like it wasn't a big deal. No one seemed to care whether we had a good experience or not. We left feeling frustrated and ignored. The food was fine, but not good enough to make up for the lack of basic courtesy. We hard a party of 20 here. Despite talking to the manager several months prior to the event, the day of the party arrived and the manager on that day was clueless. Nothing was set up. The mixed fajitas were 3/4 chicken and 1/4 beef. And the Chicken was dry. They did not give us enough tortillas and charged us for a few extras. The 2 waiters assigned to us could not be found half the time and had zero personalities! We told the waiters and guests, only fountain drinks. They could go to the bar themselves for alcohol. Well they ending up serving whatever and we got stuck with the bill. Apparently they pushed the $5 Aqua Fresca's on my guest. Just moved to apt right next door and within walking distance. A lot of people told me it was a good place for Mexican food and to try it. In shared parking lot with Kroger so plenty of parking. So glad I did. Walked in at 6:30 plenty of tables and staff. Seated quickly and chips and salsa arrived right away. Drink orders taken too. Service was fast and friendly then once drinks arrived we placed our orders. 3 in our group. Food made it to the table under 10 mins and got and fresh everything looked and tasted great. Located in the Kroger shopping center at 2920 and Kuykendahl. Stopped by after 1:00 for a late lunch. Lots of choices on the lunch menu. I had two cheese enchiladas with covered with chili. They do not know how to split bills here. They will come back and blame you for the waiter's mistake. Make sure you get a print out of your bill and review it before you pay and don't ever use your credit card here! I will never come to this location again. read more

They discriminate against women watching sports at the bar. The manager Ezequiel told a lady at the bar what does she know about baseball, and changed the channel to basketball. She'd already been sitting there awhile watching the Astros game. It's disgusting the way this establishment that I held in high regard treated that poor lady. read more

Party of 7 (4 adults and 3 kids) on a Friday night 8:40 pm, we were sat right away. Waitress greeted us quickly, took our drink order, and we were served chips and 2 types of salsa. Red salsa was served warm/hot, very flavorful but not spicy at all. Green salsa was served cold/ chilled and seemed to be a type of creamy avocado salsa. Very good but also not spicy at all. We ordered the Refu Fajitas for 3, Mi Rancho Sampler Platter, and 3 kids meals. All of the food was hot, well portioned and properly priced. Fajitas came with a great portion of all of the proteins, very well seasoned veggies and lots of guacamole. This is not the best Mexican food that I've had but it's pretty good, especially for the price. Friendly staff and quick turnaround, will definitely be back. read more

We eat here regularly as a family, for happy hour with co-workers, etc. but I just noticed they started charging a "service fee" for not paying cash--and then calculating the suggested tip on the post tax/post service charge total! They also charged us $2 for a literally a rounded tablespoon of sour cream--this is price gouging. Let me start by saying I have been to this location multiple times and enjoyed their food and the service is always great. Unfortunately today during lunch with my wife and daughter regret ever coming to this place. While I was feeding my daughter their was a cockroach in my daughters beans. Roaches do not come out of nowhere which means they are not the cleanest place. I recommend inspecting your food well before you eat if you decide to go here after reading this. This place's quality has gone down a lot lately. I don't know how employees (or anyone for that matter) can wash their hands before returning to work. I have been there on three different occasions and there is no soap in the bathroom. That is disgusting! This is post Covid people come on. I told a manager and he did nothing about it. We just had the worst experience ever from a restaurant establishment. We frequent this restaurant approximately 2 times per week, and will never go back after the way we have been treated. We went to Mi Rancho Mexican Grill & Bar at FM 2920. We only ordered street tacos and the waiter asked what type of beans we would like. They not only upcharged us for the charro beans without telling us that there would be an extra charge, they also charged an additional $5.50 for cheese to be added to the tacos, but also $1.50 for jalapenos. Our total bill was $85.00 for lunch, which is outrageous for this type of food quality. When we asked to speak to the manager, he was extremely rude, said that everyone has to pay for extras, but lied to us and said his name was "John" and wouldn't give his last name. When we left, the hostess said his name was Gabriel Diaz. Someone who is running a restaurant and cannot even provide the customers with his name is very sketchy. When we dine at Uncle Julios, they never upcharge us for charro beans or extra cheese. They are much classier and appreciate their customer base and customer support. We live close by and will not ever go back to Mi Rancho Mexican Grill & Bar off FM 2920. read more

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant today because we wanted to try a new place to eat. It was a mistake! I got a plate with one taco, one cheese enchilada and a teaspoon of guacamole and a little queso and it was $15. The taco was so bland and the cheese they used in the enchilada was cheap and salty. Are you kidding me $15 for a taco and a lousy enchilada. We both drank water and my husbands plate of food was $16. For a grand total of $33.38 for that garbage.Also the chips & salsa aren't good either,it's warm instead of being chilled & the chips aren't made in house like other places.You can tell they were just bagged chips !! I could have eaten out of their dumpster and had better quality food. And there was at least 10 waiters just standing around and we just sat there waiting until one of them decided to wait on us. I absolutely love this restaurant. I came for the first time years ago and since then seek out chicken diablos at any Mexican restaurant close by. I moved quite far from this location shortly after finding this gem. I went back over the weekend and it's just as great as I remembered. The staff is so diligent and we didn't want for anything. They anticipated our needs before we actually needed anything. I brought my toddler. They brought over a high chair immediately, put us in the back corner and I absolutely loved the privacy...toddlers can get loud. I'll make the drive to come back, they've earned my business.
