    CRAZY COW
    Brett N.

Why 3 stars? Because I wanted to like it so much, but it was just okay. --- --- --- I just discovered Bocados a few days earlier before checking it out. That almost never happens because I have so many bookmarks and places I want to try, but Bocados looked so amazing and I was going to be in the area, so I expedited right to the top of the priority list. The whole menu looked awesome, including all ten-ish burgers, but I ultimately just went with the Crazy Cow because it was labeled as the best seller. When it came to the table, I could not have been more excited, as it looked like all of my hopes and dreams on a plate. Unfortunately, the more I ate, the more I just kind of felt like main way to describe it was... heavy. And don't get me wrong, I love a good heavy meal, but it wasn't "oh this burger is awesome, but it's also heavy." It was just: heavy. The same can be said for the fries that I added cheese and bacon to. I ate this meal at about 2pm and did not eat again the rest of the day, after only having a light breakfast. And I mostly just kind of felt a bit uncomfortably stuffed the rest of the day. My server was great, and like I said, the menu was full of nothing but appealing stuff. But I just didn't love my burger. I would definitely be open to trying them again in the future though.

Overall: Friendly employees, quick service, and correct orders Food: I live by a "When in Rome..." philosophy so that meant I had to try the most popular burger, the Crazy Cow. I asked for my burger to be cooked to medium temp - our server was hesitant because the patty is so thin they have had complaints from customers if they felt it was more medium rare, but that wasn't the case and the patty was cooked a perfect medium temp. The only thing that would have made it perfect were if I could have had the steak cooked to medium too. It must be said 10 oz is a lot of meat for one setting along with the bun, dressing and fries. That said, this easily became two meals for me and it was just as delicious reheated as it was before. I have to credit the medium preparation for that fact. Service was good. They managed several tables without neglecting anyone. Decor was coordinated. I don't think a green wall is necessary for a burger spot but I didn't hate it. I love that they have screens. Would be a great place to grab a burger and watch the game.

How did this place sneak by me?! I stumbled on this place after leaving golf at Windrose in search of a burger. When I saw the menu, the burger - while the pictures looked great - the burger fell out of scope. Once I saw all the meat options, the decision became a no-brainer. I ordered the parrilla. It checked every box. Hot Fresh Delicious Quantity Variety The food was awesome. The platter offers steak, chicken, Argentinian sausage, fries, and other goodie that I couldn't finish. It says it feeds 2 people, but those 2 people can munch on this over several meals. And that meat flavor? I' still drool when I think about it. For the healthy types - even their salads look delish! The restaurant itself is causal - you can sit inside or out. The staff is very friendly. Go check it out!!! You'll be glad you did.

Ohhhh ma gawwwd! Where have you been all of my life Mr. Bocados? As old as I am and the amount of hamburger places I've been, this has to be in the top 3 for ME. Parking might be challenging in peak times but for the most part on my 2nd visit, it wasn't busy still so nothing to fret about at that time. I feel reserved about getting attached to this establishment because I came here for my first visit on a Saturday night, about 8pm "ish" and like most places are supposed to be bustling....it was not. Ok, what's wrong here? Let's give it a try. I guess this could almost compare to be a Brazilian/Venezuelean version of a Red Robin, but much much better. I liked it so much I came back the next day as well. The menu has it's spread of different types of burgers but they're not your typical American menu case of course. You will be presented with different names and ingredients but no limited to grilled queso fresco, pico de gallo, fried eggs and GARLIC SAUCE that has crack in it! The meats are SMOKED lightly which makes a whole world of difference. That's just part of it because the menu also has a spread of other foods you should try. Service, excellent, for the most part. The first gentleman we got on that Saturday could make a 2 star meal turn into a 4 with his acknowledgement of the menu and his table side manner of reading his customers (I think his name was Juan/Jose or similar ) without being intrusive. The person that we got the next day was almost as good but my constructive criticism if I was being super picky would be that one should tell the customers if the drink (Iced Tea) is coming from a bottle/can instead of an urn that we're used to or assume it would come from. It still didn't take away from the experience but it could ruin others. The prices are about an average of I would say $16ish per burger in which they are totally worth it. The interior is pretty decent for a burger place and I would suspect that this establishment is probably a bit new. There is a patio that you can sit in and enjoy your meal with strings of Edison type lights. All in all, this is one of those places that you have to try and tell me what you think. See you there!

I was in the mood for a burger and my girls were in the mood for pancakes. We found the perfect happy medium at Bocados. I ordered the Crazy cow, which is topped with steak and Pico de gallo. The burger was flavorful and well cooked. My girls ordered the Nutella pancakes. The portion sizes were very generous! The strawberry lemonade was outstanding. Our server was very nice and attentive. He checked on us constantly and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit.

First time visit and my family and I love it and will be coming back. The staff is sooo nice, too, and helpful. There is a kids menu but we decided to do family style dinner (out of the norm for us - but we were also trying somewhere new so what the heck) and my 4 year old ate it up!! That was so good to see, but no doubt the food was nothing short of amazing and absolutely delicious. I recommend this place! We couldn't leave without trying dessert!

Ok wow! That's what I'll say! Bocados Burger & Grill is fantastic! We don't usually go out for burgers, they are too easy, good and inexpensive to make at home, but THIS place! Apparently it's Venezuelan and it's a rather unassuming spot but how great this was! My Burger had bacon, pico and some meat called picanha, on top of the burger and this entire piece of grilled queso fresco and a green garlic aeoli (is that redundant ‍). Burger held together the whole time and was SUPER tasty with really nothing too overpowering the other ingredients. Fries were solid! Place was comfy, smelled good and was clean. Had an outdoor area too. I finished about 3/4 of the burger, took the rest home and ate 2 days later heating it up in the toaster over. Honestly, it shouldn't have tasted so awesome on day 2 but it did! Still holding together too! They have a few additional items besides burgers and we will definitely be back!! What a find!

Bocados Burger and Grill delivers big flavor with a great atmosphere. The burgers are juicy, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly, with quality ingredients that really stand out. I'd definitely recommend getting one of their burgers; it is the star of the menu. The fries are perfectly crispy, hot, and seasoned just right, making them the ideal side. Service is friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe makes it a great spot to hang out and enjoy a good meal. Definitely a place worth coming back to.

First, it's a freaking shopping strip with trash parking. That's the only complaint...oh and pretty warm inside but we are in the Texas heat. However - the food and experience was impeccable!! We got the bluefin tuna tostadas (10/10), Grilled Octopus & bone marrow (10/10), potato & queso empanada with caviar and crème fraiche (8/10), peach & burrata (9.5/10) as the appetizers and I can confidently say I was already blown away. Then we got the Wagyu Carne Asada (10/10), Duck two ways (9/10) and the Street corn agnolotti (8/10). Nothing was bad. it was all so good and I now see why there's so much recognition around this place. The service was great, the ambiance was unassuming, the food was perfection, and lowkey - I'm going back in the fall for next season's menu. Kudos to this place bc holy shit. There's clearly inconsistency in either the quality of the dishes or the execution of the kitchen. bluefin tuna tostadas were nothing but salty - simply no other flavor other than salt coctel campechana was good and filling - at least one decent dish this visit jaguar cry was flavorless despite so many aromatics present - only proves my skepticism for non-asian restaurants randomly incorporating asian dishes and flavors. You cannot make Southeast Asian dishes (inspired or not) without a strong aromatic base. The amount of meat was also disappointing. If you're gonna advertise high quality meat, there better be a significant amount at the very least. the "crispy potatoes" were NOT crispy - don't let them fool you. this was the cherry on top. Clearly a kitchen problem this day. fried cauliflower was decent but nothing groundbreaking. i thought the sauce tasted purely of sour cream. makes me almost not want to return again for such overpriced mid food First visit: gas asf the mexican x asian combo plus closeby is game changing hamachi tiraditi was good - super sour sauce made the fish sooo nice brussel sprouts were fantastic (as a brussel sprouts connoisseur) - not as crispy but the crunchy garnish made up for it - creamy and lovely bite birria quesatacos was good - wagyu was tender af - highkey could get equal quality tacos from a stand/truck street corn agnolotti - one of my favorite pasta dishes of all time - pasta filled with creamy filling cut by acidic sweet corn tres leches hit the spot - also a staple you could prob get at equal quality at a local spot one of my top houston restaurants now - will be coming back to try the ceviche and all three veggie options

A low light chill vibe with fresh hot food flowing around. We started strong with a table favorite: the Wild West Shrimp and bread. The shrimp were delicious as usual, and those jalapeños add just enough heat to keep you reaching back into the plate for another one. For my main, I kept it classic with a New York Strip cooked medium, mashed potatoes, and a Caesar salad. Boom. Everything came out within a good amount of time, at the right temperature, and tasted exactly how I expected it to. Our waiter was attentive without hovering and made himself available throughout the meal, which I always appreciate. We did have a short wait before being seated, but considering this was a late Saturday night, it really wasn't bad at all. Overall, LongHorn continues to be one of those dependable spots for me. You can choose to sit either inside or outside. We went with the Houston Restaurant week menu which features some of their most popular dishes. For the appetizer, we tried the sautéed calamari and gumbo. The calamari had a nice creamy garlic sauce which paired well the sautéed bell pepper, onions, and tender calamari. Their gumbo is solid, not too spicy and had nicely cooked rice and a mix of toppings. The rice had a good bite and absorbed the flavor from the gumbo well. I would recommend the sautéed calamari. For entrees, we ordered the wild caught king clip and steak Diane. The very buttery king clip comes with sautéed spinach and is basted in a creamy, slightly lemony sauce which compliments both elements of the dish. The kingclip is garnished with micro greens and comes with an extra lemon for additional acidity, but I felt that it wasn't needed. The steak Diane had a medium cook and was soooo tender to the bite. I would recommend both, but partial towards the king clip if you want to try something unique! Lastly for dessert, I ordered the passion fruit crème brûlée which had such a unique flavor profile! The tartness of the passion fruit goes surprisingly well with the warm vanilla custard. The texture of the creme brûlée toasted sugar top was perfect as well and added a really nice crunch to every bite. My friend ordered their sticky toffee pudding, which was arguably the best one I've had yet. The toffee syrup is incredibly rich and adds a nice caramelized flavor to the ice cream and moist cake base. It's garnished with bits of sugary crumble and fruit. You really can't go wrong with either, but if I had to pick, their sticky toffee pudding is a must try. All in all, such a fun and intimate dining experience!

We were seated in a booth that felt quite cramped for a business meeting. Next time, we'd likely request a more open, well-lit table. We ordered several dishes, but the Chilean sea bass was disappointing. It was dry, lacked the buttery texture it's known for, and was quite bland. We also requested a side of hot sauce, but that request was overlooked. To end the meal, we planned to order coffee and toffee instead of dessert. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, we were told the coffee machine had broken. Unfortunately, by then the server seemed eager to wrap things up and didn't really give us the opportunity to consider any other after-meal options. Overall, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and we can see why it's popular, but the food execution and service fell short of our expectations, especially for a business lunch. We hope these issues were just an off day, as we'd like to give it another chance.
