I've been to Wise Street Eats numerous times and ordered a wide range of items, which is usually the real measure of a kitchen. The consistency here is impressive. Why 4 stars? Because it's a great place to eat for health or comfort. --- --- --- I initially visited this space in 2022 when it was Ori'Zaba's and I thought it was absolutely awesome. Sadly, it closed shortly after my visit. But I read in the reviews that this was formerly a Burrito District, so I didn't even realize this was the former Ori'Zaba's until I walked in. So apparently this spot has struggled to keep one concept for whatever reason. The interesting thing about Wise Street Eats is that you can opt to build a healthy bowl with Greek inspirations, or you can do what I did and order the Dirty Mac bowl with fried chicken, mac-n-cheese and cajun fries. I'm a real sucker when restaurants put "Most Popular" on their menu, which made my decision to order this, a quick one. What I will say is that, while I enjoyed the Dirty Mac, in retrospect, I would have preferred if it was a side dish, rather than my entire meal, because it was quite heavy (as one would expect). About halfway through it, I realized I was going to have to bring the energy to take down this valiant opponent. Next time, I'll build a bowl. Or maybe even go with a burger. But I do appreciate the dirty mac and if I was still a man who got hungover, I'd consider it a pretty elite hangover remedy. read more

Greeted immediately upon walking in and asked if this visit was my first time, I say yes!, and the worker prepared samples for me and my group to try out while we decided on our orders. You place your order at one of the two kiosks at the counter and wait for your order to be called out by name. The meal came out in a decent time compared to the small crowd that was already in the restaurant. I ordered a rice plate with lamb, an assortment of veggies, and the house "wise" sauce. It was a generous portion, and since it was already served in a to-go container, it made it easy for me to take home. While we were finishing up, the manager(? or one of the workers at least) came up to our table to ask about our lunch and thanked us for visiting with a couple of free brownies! Our first experience today, was spectacular. Walking in the staff was so helpful! We notified them it was our first time. They let is try a sample, taste some sauces and explained the menu. So many options and combinations. Ordering was interesting, it is "self serve" but the staff is close by to help. The inside is decorated with street art and is bright. We took our food to go, and got to taste several items. I personally liked the chicken Mac and fries the best. My husband liked the chicken rice bowl best with the Wise sauce. I had a small bias before going here, only because I loved burrito district, and that's what this place was before. I didn't even know this place existed until I saw them on facebook, advertising, a fourth of july special--fifty percent off everything. I didn't realize that they had a timing with the deal and had to get in there quickly with half an hour until the deal would be done. But I looked at their reviews, of course, before heading over there, and the chicken wings looked amazing, so that's what I went for. I ended up giving the dirty mac and cheese, side order of mac and cheese, a couple of different flavors the chicken wings, a couple of order of nashville sandwiches and a slew of sliders. And a cinnamon roll. First of all, the dirty mac and cheese was amazing. I didn't expect there to be french fries in it, but all in all, it was delicious. Even though I went in there for the chicken wings, they were quite salty to me. I'm not sure how to make them less salty, but next time I will ask someone who works there. I had got the lemon pepper and I believe the cajun seasoning and both were very salty. I'm going to give them another try, though, because I don't like wet chicken wings and besides the salt, they were the perfect crispiness. The spicy nashville sandwich was delicious. Perfect spice. And I especially love the sliders, because they were the perfect size without everything falling out of the sandwich. Wise Street Eats is fairly new I'm in the area often and saw it pop up a few months ago here. I ordered a burrito. The burrito itself was cooked well. It had just enough flavor but not to over power the food inside. There was chicken, rice, and veggies inside. I got two sauces on it as well boom boom, and wise sauce. Boom Boom sauce is a little spicy and the wise sauce was like a mayonnaise base both good. When you add the chicken and all the veggies and the sauce it all blended well together. The service was top notch we were greeted upon entry . Once we sat down to wait on our food we were given a free desert to try while we waited. I didn't try it but my family said it was good. It was the cinnamon bun. We were honestly the only ones in there it was around 9pm so it was nice and peaceful. Over all this is a good quick food option a few notches above fast food. I appreciate the cook to order, the great service, and a different menu then the normal quick service spot. If you are in the area I would recommend trying it. read more

Service was amazing. Came in for the first time pretty much knowing I wanted to try a rice bowl, but when I told them it was my first visits they explained everything quickly to me. Gave me a sample of both the chicken and lamb, both great. Went with the lamb rice bowl and it was great. They encouraged me to get extra sauces on the side. The boom boom sauce wasn't my thing but could see how most would like it. After trying them at home I added the garlic sauce and the fire sauce, both a great addition to the bowl, both very strong in their own respects which I like. If you don't like a tone of heat or very strong garlic definitely drizzle lightly, I used both full cups and it was amazing. The fire sauce has great heat while still having good flavor. Rest of the menu looked great and if they can make a simple bowl this good I'm sure it's worth a try. Would highly recommend giving it a try. read more

Tried for 1st time and the Fish&Chips were very good. The portions are quite large, especiallyfor the very reasonable prices; no-one in our party could eat everything they were given. The staff behind the counter were exceptionally friendly and offered samples of some of the dishes The tables are small given how everything is packaged separately so we were a bit cramped. And there are no shades on the west facing windows therefore we all set with our backs to them. They haven't been open all that long so I'm sure there'll be growing pains but overall it's a good place to eat; hope they make it. read more

We finally made it in to try this new place. Got their signature Dirty Mac & Chicken, a fish loaded fry, and a couple of sliders, with a brownie for dessert (dessert does not appear to be on the online menu, you'll have to come in for it). The Dirty Mac & Chicken is an interesting combination--a bed of fries, then mac & cheese, with diced chicken tenders on top. Not sure what I think of the combination of textures, but all the ingredients are tasty and well prepared. Having the Boom Boom sauce on the side lets you use it to taste. I can see why it's popular. The fish Loaded Fry combo is basically the Fish & Chips combo, but with one fried swai plank instead of two. It's plenty to eat. Swai is a softer fish than catfish or tilapia, probably a bit cheaper. It was well cooked and satisfying to eat. We got one classic slider and one signature slider. The classic comes with mustard, while the signature comes with Boom Boom sauce. Both have grilled onions. They are somewhat similar as the Boom Boom sauce has a little mustard overtone. The sliders are small but having two patties makes the meat-to-bun ratio better. The texture was perfect and they were tasty as is or with ketchup. We got fries with it--the fries are a standard skinny model, but the seasoning on them is generous and really tasty. We finished them all. The chocolate chip brownie is a good one, soft but not too gooey with plenty of chocolate chips. It was a nice finish to the meal. The place has some rough edges. We got fountain drinks--one selection was marked out of order and another didn't work. Since it's self-serve you can keep trying, but I was not that impressed with the fountain drink selection. They do have Mexican Coke and Sprite in bottles. It is aggressively not decorated--nothing on the walls but gray paint. There were supplies on the back tables, and in the cubbies where previous places had put knickknacks or advertisements there were employees' personal belongings. The restrooms (gendered but identical) were clean and ready--the nice tile was most likely from a previous tenant (several restaurants have been through this space, most recently Orizaba's I think). Service was fine. It's a takeout place, but I can say for sure that they can cook. The menu is extensive and I look forward to trying more of it. read more

We had an appointment in the area, and read the great reviews, so we decided to give this place a try. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we were treated wonderfully. The place is beautiful, and everything is sparkling clean. I ordered the falafel salad with different sauces on the side to try. The falafels were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside- just the way it's supposed to be. The salad was probably the crispest, freshest salad I have ever had. I found out that they hand cut the lettuce. I guess that makes a big difference. I ate half and took the rest home, thinking I'll eat the rest for dinner. As I got closer to home, I couldn't stop thinking about that salad. Who was I kidding? There's no way I was going to save it for dinner. I gobbled up the rest of that yummy salad. We decided to give this place a try after driving past it a few times and wondering out loud about it. Today we looked at the Google reviews and had to see if a 4.8 Google review was truly warranted. We didn't know what kind of food to expect, but again, 4.8 star review, we were going to try it. The guy behind the counter, Jacob if the receipt is to be believed, was so pleasant and helpful, great first impression for sure. I have to highlight this because it's rare to find great customer service, so kudos Jacob. The menu is up above the counter and hard to read because the glare from outside gets in the way. The kiosks, where you place your own order , is much easier to read, and not hard to work your way thru, even for this old lady. Wise Streets has quite a few different options to please multiple eaters, picky eaters too... thank goodness !, I can come here with my husband and he can get fish and chips and I can get a lamb gyro/wrap if that was my preference... that alone is super exciting to me, normally dinner with DH means something very American with meat and potatoes, or Mexican food, which for him translates to fajitas. So this will be a treat next time we are looking for somewhere different to eat. I ordered a chicken rice bowl and my son ordered a Gyrito. Yep, gyrito. I ordered Garlic Sauce and Wise sauce on the side, and my son got wise sauce and fire sauce on the side. I find this next part funny so I will point it out. I ordered jalapeños on my rice bowl, an upcharge of .49cents. My son ordered jalapeños on his gyrito, an upcharge of .28cents. Maybe I get more? Either way, funny to me. We got our food, (when you order at the kiosk, there is not an option of dine in or take out, our food came in Togo containers and bagged, which worked out well for us since I never finish my food at the restaurant. The food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS !!! The gyrito was a good size, and stuffed to the gills with toppings of your choice...my son got Nashville hot chicken and falafel (there are a good number of Greek options) he said it was delicious, albeit messy. My chicken rice bowl was / is fantastic (as I am eating more of it here at the house) and the sauces add just the right touch. The garlic sauce, some may know as Toum , is great, I was super excited to have that to add to my bowl, as well as the Wise sauce, and I did use my son's Fire Sauce, any one of the sauces would have been fine alone, but the bowl is big, and I am a saucy person, so I was able to use multiple sauces at no ridiculous extra charge for the 1 oz cup (Thanks Wise Street for not feeling the need to nickel and dime everything) The only .... drawbacks ... ?? if you want to call them that, was the music was a bit louder than I needed, and its not because I am 60, my son brought it up, I was only thinking it) and the tea is not fresh brewed, and even though it's Lipton, its not as good as fresh brewed. I visited this place for the first time yesterday. The one guy in the front was so helpful. He spoke and asked if it was my first time. He then proceeded to explain the menu, the best sellers, how the ordering process works at the kiosk and randomly gave me a sample of the chicken and sauce. I ordered a rice bowl and Cajun chicken wings. The bowl was flavorful good. Their lamb and chicken is very tender and moist. I didn't care for the wings but I'm picky about chicken wings. These were overly seasoned but if they could ease up on that I could see those being a big seller too. Overall I definitely would try something else on the menu.
