I returned for lunch when I was in the area recently and ordered their bahn mi "Mi-Sant Special" sandwich to eat in, along with two plain croissants 'to go'. The place was fairly busy during that time, but I had no trouble finding a seat at a table to wait for my buzzer to ring to incite me to go pick up my order. This may have been my first time ever with a bahn mi sandwich and I looked forward to eating one. Overall, I 'kind of' liked it, but did not enjoy the 'difficult to bite and chew' meat (or whatever it was) that was on the sandwich. If I try one again sometime, I may order it with just pate, or just cold cuts. The croissants I brought home were excellent! I think they're the best I've had in quite some time! read more

I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to classic dishes, I don't often go for "twists," like a solid cheeseburger doesn't need the kitchen sink on it, ya know what I mean? But, I ordered the croissant sandwich, Vietnamese style, and holy smokes. The buttery layers, pate, and other savory deliciousness of a classic banh mi was life changing. I think about this croissant often. I picked up a few croissants too, almond and coconut. I didn't get to them until the next day. Still tasty but starting to get dry, I probably didn't store them well enough. The flavors were on point, so I'd definitely give them another go. I've been to the original Mi Saint location but loved this location! The natural sunlight and spacious dining area was the selling point. I stopped here for breakfast and they were already serving the bahn mi sandwiches and bowls! I went with the bbq pork bowl which was quite delicious and followed up with the croissants. All of the items were delicious -- including the Vietnamese coffee. I thought this was the perfect location for a place like this, especially for this particular side of town. Impressive! read more

Great food. I've been here for both takeout and eat in. It has always been a great experience and the quality of the food is great either way. I have had their bowls, bahn mi sandwiches, and their croissants. All are delicious. My husband and I especially enjoy the peanut sauce with our bowls and spring rolls. It is seat yourself, so it can be tough to find a seat when it's busy. Usually one clears out prior to the food being ready. When you walk in, you are greeted by racks of freshly baked baguettes waiting to be filled, and cute dragon shaped baguettes on the counter. The croissants are delicious- perfectly delicate layers inside and crisp flaky outside. There's apple, strawberry cream cheese, Nutella, coconut, ube, taro coconut and more. I got the special bowl, which is filled generously with salad, rice, pickled carrots/daikon, pork, egg roll and fried egg. Like a disassembled banh mi. Delicious! I came in for takeout and placed my order at one of the self-serve kiosks (very easy to use). I was surprised by how quickly my food came out, the staff was very friendly as well. The dining room was cool; they did a lot with it since the building's days as a Baker's Square. I had the tofu bahn mi--the bread was nice and fresh and whatever sauce they cooked the tofu in or had with the mayo was awesome. Just a little spice but mostly just a ton of flavor. Very filling and for $11 you can't go wrong. I also had the veggie spring rolls. They were crispy with a good filling but I didn't notice until I left that they didn't include the dipping sauce, which was a bit disappointing. Finishing off with one of their chocolate croissants--it was just as good as one would hope for from a french bakery. Airy and buttery with just enough chocolate. I will be back for more! read more

If you love Croissants, you will LOVE theirs! The texture is light and slight crispy on the outside while super soft in the inside. They have a very light simple syrup drizzle in too which makes it shiny. The syrup hardens so it's not soggy. It just adds a nice sweetness. The Korean Noodle Bulgogi bowl was very satisfying! They have plenty of seating and parking. It was a nice place to meet friends and have some croissants and coffee. They have bobba teas and smoothies as well. read more

This is the second time eating there in 2 years. Ordering was simple and food was ready quick. I ordered the Classic Bahn Mi sandwich and was my first time having that. I was surprised how mildly flavored it was, the veggies were more flavor forward than the meats (white ham, jambon, and headcheese). I guess I was expecting a bit more flavor. Not saying it was bad flavor just left me wanting some excitement in every bite. Something I was very happy about, nothing was over salted even the meats or the side of peanut sauce. I was very put off by the amount of gristle in one of the meats, in a couple different bites in the last the 1/3 of the sandwich. Not a little bit, but a lot. I probably should have let them know but it was a very busy lunch rush. Sorry to be gross about it but it was enough of an impact on my visit. Maybe they will see the review and let the cooks assembling the sandwiches know that quality ingredients are so important. Will I go back? YES!!! Will I get a menu item with white ham, jambon, and headcheese? Probably not, the egg roll bowl that my guest had was very good. read more

I was lucky enough to be brought back takeout. One word: delicious. I had chicken lemongrass bowl with the vietnamese "vinagrette" - the typical vietnamese house fish sauce. Perfect flavors. This is my favorite Banh Mi spot. The bread is soft, but has that crispy bite to it. There's always an ample amount of meat inside each Bahn Mi. I usually go for the Mi Sant Special. It's stuff with beef, pork, a fried egg and all of the usual Bahn Mi veggies. I love the pickled daikon and carrot and find myself wanting more. The nice thing is that you can just ask for extra veggies. I usually ask for extra pickled daikon, cilantro and cucumber. When you place your order, you'll get a pager and it will let you know whenever your food is ready. Also, there's cups for self-service water to the right of the bowl where you drop off your pager. They don't have people walking around to give you water, but you can help yourself. The Noodle bowls are just as tasty. The sauce that I usually go with is the Vietnamese vinaigrette. It really brightens up the bowl and has a nice sweetness and acidity to the noodles and veggies. Treat yourself and grab a crossaint too! My favorite is the chocolate or Nutella! read more

Bahmi has egg and the bread to meat ratio is good. Kimchi fries is very addicting, the kimchi flavored mayo sauce really goes with the crunchy fries, plus with beef bulgogi is a bonus. Absolutely don't care for the croissants, we ordered ube and coconut, and stuffing is severely short. I can tell less butter is used, hence the ordinary flavor.
