Mi Sant ALWAYS has fantastic food and we eat there all the time, but tonight they went out of their way to help me with an automotive issue when they didn't really need to. I double parked to run in and grab my order. When I came out my car was completely dead. Couldn't even open the hatch to get my cables or even shift the transmission out of park. My wife came with a battery charger and extension cord. The manager was kind enough to let me run my extension cord through her entrance and waiting area and I was able to get my car started! Getting a new battery tomorrow but thank you to the Manager and Staff of Mi Sant for being so kind and patient with me! Such a cute location with lots of seating. Order to go and service was very prompt and packaged perfect so nothing was squished. Sandwich large enough to share and was delicious with lots flavor and did not skimp on the chicken. Bowl came with an egg roll and peanut sauce that was as very tasty. Spring rolls were each individually wrapped and could pick between different sauces when ordering. The treats are a must here. The tiramisu croissant supreme was so flaky and the filling was the perfect amount. Everything is always good here. Ingredients are fresh and flavorful. Eggrolls and cream cheese wontons are our go-to, as well as the shrimp rolls and the noodle salads. They also have delicious croissants and pastries. They run out by evening, so go earlier than later. Only complaint is that sometimes the summer rolls aren't rolled as tight as other times and then they fall apart. And, I wish they were open a little later. From the outside the location looks like a repainted Baker's Square, but the inside has been tastefully redecorated with plenty of seating options. I love the large family style tables it makes the place feel more cozy. It's counter service with buzzers. The environment is calm and inviting. There were a mix of ages when we were there. It's a great place for families, to meet friends for a bite, space enough to chit chat. The sunroom has great natural light and a few comfy chairs and couches. The food was flavorful and bright. The portions were spot on. They use compostable packaging and have compostable silverware. They have lots of great coffee and non-coffee options. Great banh mi and noodle bowls, fabulous coconut shakes! We love both locations when we are in the Twin Cities.

We ordered several banh mi sandwiches to serve to a large group for a gathering and we have ordered takeout. Our favorite sandwiches are the mi-Sant special, Nem Nuong, Korean bolgogi, grilled pork and chicken ones. We did not like the Classic compared to those since the meat was low quality and tasted horrible. When we went inside to wait for our takeout I was impressed with the interior and decor. They did a nice job renovating the inside since it used to be Bakers Square. It was busy with lines during lunch hour on Saturday but they had several cashiers and some self service kiosks. The bubble tea menu is extremely misleading and confusing. It says bubble tea but it's not clear that you need to pay extra for the tapioca pearls. The menu should NOT call the drinks bubble tea if it automatically does not come with bubbles/tapioca pearls. And they consider the bubbles/tapioca pearls to be "toppings" which is also misleading since those sit at the bottom. Virtually all places that say bubble tea on the menu automatically come with tapioca pearls! My suggestion is to update the wording on the menu. Some of the sandwiches also have similar ingredients such as pork so a number system is recommended since our orders have been misinterpreted. The sandwiches should be labeled as 1,2,3 for example. Overall most of the food is great and authentic Asian cuisine. We will keep coming back. I hope they open another restaurant in the Western suburbs since there's a pretty high Asian population there as well. read more

You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer for when your food is ready. They have a good amount of seating inside that is open seating. We got the lemongrass chicken and the mi sant special (grilled pork, char siu and fried egg). The bread was fresh, meat was plentiful and the veggies were good. I could have used more veggies but that's probably more of a personal preference. Not an overwhelming amount of mayo either. Overall the sandwich was less greasy than some other places which I prefer. I could see the bread on racks in the back of the kitchen so they make their bread in house! One of my favorite places to meet with friends! The food is excellent and the drinks are great, too. I've come here for years and the service has always been friendly, though there have been times when I ask for my croissant warmed up and they do it and other times when they apologize and say "we don't warm up our croissants" (sometimes on the same day by different employees), so that's kind of odd, but I can always microwave it at home or just eat it at room temp. The interior is so cute and there are great spaces to get work done or just hang out. I have done online orders a few times, but it's usually faster to just go in and order at the counter. I think the kiosks must run on a certain system order, so there's a chance your order of one Vietnamese coffee could get stuck behind several family-of-four food orders, but the line to the in-person cashier/barista usually isn't too long. So glad they opened a location in my neck of the woods. I believe they converted an old bakers square, and they did an awesome job. Ample modern seating with a fresh feel and great windows in the very front. There is a lot of variety to their menu. This time, I had a coffee and a croissant which were both amazing. They have everything from bubble tea and baked goods, to spring rolls and bowls. Staff was friendly and attentive. I came in on a Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 so it seemed they had a lot of staff for me being the only customer, but as dinner time rolled around they got busier. Mi Sant seriously delivers when it comes to banh mi sandwiches and the baguette is phenomenal - seriously makes me want to go back and try their other baked goods because if the bread is that good, the other items have to be stellar too. I had the Mi-Sant Special, and the fried egg added a nice smoothness to the sandwich that I wasn't expecting. I do wish there was a liitttle more meat (I like 'em big!) but overall very solid and I'd definitely come back. Their honeydew shake was also great, and was not too sweet and still tasted like honeydew, which is usually really subtle whenever I order the flavor at anywhere else. I'm so glad this location opened up (the original location is in BP) and it's literally right off highway 36 too and right by Rosedale Mall! Mi-Sant is a family owned Vietnamese American Bakery with one of the best, delicious and buttery croissants in MN. They also have banhmi (Vietnamese sandwich), noodle/rice bowls, bubble tea/coffee and appetizers like eggrolls/ spring rolls. So far I've had a couple different croissants from here which I really enjoyed. My favorite so far is the ube (purple yam) croissant and I'm hoping to go back soon to try the strawberry cream cheese croissant and a noodle bowl. Although I like the banhmi because it definitely taste very fresh and the baguette is the perfect texture for me (soft on the inside and crisp on the outside), I do wish there was a little more filling/meat in them but I know that is just my preference. This location is pretty spacious with a good amount of seating and the decor is super cute, very minimal millennial style IMO which I love as a millennial myself. I think the pricing is fair and I also love how there is so much parking! I love this space. It's spacious, well lit, and clean. Service is great here, super friendly. They also have wifi and it is a great place to do heads down work. Would also be a great place to meet with friends as well. The restaurant is divided, half is a cafe, half is in this greenhouse structure and is really pretty. So lets talk food. I had their classic bahn mi, royal milk tea, wintermelon slush with boba and strawberry cream cheese croissant and one other one croissant. Their classic bahn mi is really good, not exceptional but good. Their Vietnamese bread is crispy on the inside and super soft on the inside, to the point that the crust cracks as you hold and bite into it. I do agree with the other reviewer that there's not enough meat and stuff in the bahn mi. But the flavor is good, might not be as spicy (with jalepenos) as most bahn mi's I've had though. Their royal milk tea is soo good! However, I was told that there was no caffeine in it the first time I went and being pregnant I ordered it and drank the whole thing. The second time I went, I asked what non caffeinated drinks they had and noticed they didn't mention royal milk tea and the cashier said it probably did have caffeine in it. :( I was very sad to hear that :( and the reason for the four stars. So instead, the second time I ordered wintermelon with bubbles and it is a slush. It was too sweet and if you like slushies, go for it but don't get it with bubbles. The bubbles were hard and crumbly because they were frozen and clumped together so that they didn't even fit through the straw. Would not recommend the bubbles. Another reason for four stars. Last I want to review the croissants. I thought the strawberry and cream cheese one was really good. However, my husband said it was too greasy. I would try it for yourself to decide if you like it or not. First time here, earlier this week. We split a noodle bowl, bahn mi, beef fries and a chocolate croissant. The food was wonderful and relatively inexpensive. With two coffees it wasn't even $40. The lack of five stars is for the seating situation. The atrium seating area was freezing. It wasn't freezing outside but it was freezing in there and people were eating with their jackets on. Others in the regular dining room were taking up tables for hours. The people behind us sat and played cards and the woman to the right of us was sitting doing homework. When you have a busy restaurant with limited tables it's bad business to let that occur. We sat at the bar which was not a functioning bar, rather a storage area for boxes and food which really makes no sense and looks terrible. read more

I went to Mi Sant on the Monday of Memorial Day. My friend and I chose to go here to order take out for three people and bring it home to eat. It has its own parking lot and the outside of the restaurant made me think it would be a classic diner style on the inside however, I was very wrong. The inside of the restaurant has light colors and feels airy and peaceful. It is decorated with plants, windows, and neutral colors on the walls. They had bakery items displayed behind the counter along with images of some of the tasty drinks they sell. I ordered a chicken Banh mi with an egg on it. I thought the bread, flavor, and freshness of the Banh mi was divine. The only thing I disliked about this sandwich was the texture of the meat. The chicken was cute into small cubes and cooked. I personally struggle with disliking meat texture and this was one of those instance. My friend and I split the cream cheese wontons and they were good! She ordered a lemongrass bowl and really enjoyed it. She also ordered a lychee flavored drink with jelly boba and loved it!
