I love trying little Jalisco places. I pass this place in the mornings and always see a line at their drive thru. That's always a good sign. What I wasn't expecting was to find EXTREME value in this spot. Remember 7.99 steak and eggs? I thought that was a thing of the past. Not here. Their menu is riddled with options and everything WILL not break the bank. You could even order double of what you get and it won't break the bank. Very affordable, very tasty. I WILL be back for more. Go see them and enjoy the savings and the tasty food. read more

The place is friendly but I had the carne guisada burrito. It's a good sized burrito but really needed seasoning.

Terrible service, clearly ordered 6 tacos in the drive thru, then get to the front to pay and receive 3 tacos...after the confusion they charge again for their mistake and took 15 mins just to get 3 more tacos!!! Can't even make a bean and cheese smh read more

Mi Sierra Jalisco - Bean and cheese taco with cheese only on one side and beans all over the crappy tortilla - Mexican Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

I ordered the chips de harina and specifically the warm salsa they serve you when you eat inside. For the second time now they gave me the salsa fresca but heated it up. Apparently, they think I don't know what I want. We've had this conversation twice now and unfortunately I assume that if I've had a 2 or 3 minute conversation specifically telling you,you gave me the wrong salsa last time,I'd like the right salsa this time and had to explain why, they'd get it right. But instead they gave me the wrong salsa and first some excuse about how it depends on who makes you the salsa or who serves it to you .then In the next breathe I was told,it was after three, which it wasn't and they don't make the warm salsa they give you at the table,no matter what time of day it is. I don't think I'll eat here again. The only thing I really like is the chips de harina and the salsa they give you inside. That's the honest truth,I buy a meal just so I can get those two things,I'm always disappointed in the actual meal. Also,I don't appreciate being lied to repeatedly just because someone doesn't want to do something. And,yes I speak Spanish well enough to tell them what I want. Grrrr. read more

This place has gotten ridiculous! They charge whatever they want. I order the same things weekly and it's always a different price. They constantly get orders wrong because no one speaks or understands English. The owner is useless she doesn't care! I won't be going back after todays atrocity read more

Chips are pure stale. Went in here last week. The meat was rubbery. The chips were cold and stale. The tea was ok. Nothing special coming here. Picked up some bean and cheese chalupas and a couple of bean and cheese tacos, i asked to have the tacos toasted, however they weren't. The chalupas were great, but oddly enough the bean and cheese tacos were missing some flavor. I'll still return as the food is usually prepared as requested. read more

Mi Sierra Jalisco is an awesome quaint little Mexican restaurant, don't let the location or looks fool you. Very causal setting and very inexpensive. Food is delicious and pretty good servings. Everyday they have different plate specials for $5.99 and it includes a tea. My favorite plate is the cheese enchilada plate, my kids love the green enchiladas and my husbands favorite is the grilled chicken breast with onions and bell peppers with melted cheese. read more

Huevos $2.99 special, Migas $3.99. What's not to like? Hunger put us on high alert for a place to eat, and Mi Sierra's freshly painted building drew us to their parking lot. Once we got parked, we noticed their hand-written sign with the day's specials - Huevos, Migas - at prices we could enjoy. Turned out Mi Sierra was an excellent choice. They give you plastic bottles with several salsas with various levels of fire power and flavor, all of which were helpful if you like to kick your flavors up one or several notches. (I chose the red one, because it was light enough that I could slather on a lot!) Spouse and I both ordered our beloved Migas, which came with cubed-and-fried potatoes. How can you fry potatoes? Let me count the ways! These ones were browned, not greasy, and in my not-humble opinion, delicious carriers for the afore-mentioned red salsa. The Migas were . . . well, they were migas. The chunks of taco were noticeable, as we like them, and the eggs were . . . eggs. Nothing special, but no problem either. What aced it for me, though, was the beans. Far from your usual tasteless blah (can you tell I'm not a fan?) these were flavorful - and yes, I knew I was eating lard, but oh my goodness, these were good! Ate every bite of them, even when I had to leave some of the Migas on my plate. The server was pleasant, the prices were great, and the juke box kept playing songs from my youth (and no, I'm not going to tell you what decade). If we're hungry for basic, home-style, Mexican when we're in their neighborhood again, we will be sure to drop in -- and recommend you do the same. read more

Was in the area and saw this place was hopping on a Saturday morning so decided to try it out! Walked in, no tables available, servers passed us but didn't welcome us or tell us to wait. It was pretty awkward considering we were literally standing in the middle of the restaurant. We were about to walk out when we noticed a table became available so we grabbed it. Our waitress was pretty not attentive. Prices are good. Restaurant/bathroom wasn't that clean.. Food was pretty boring. Not the best or worst. I probably wouldn't come here ever again. read more

Great Mexican food! If you come to San Antonio do not settle for Taco Cabana or Las Palapas. You can literally find any Jalisco hole in the wall and not be disappointed. This location has a drive thru, which is an added bonus. The breakfast tacos are fully loaded. Everything I have ordered has not disappointed me except the bean and cheese taco. I guess that's what TC's is for unless the run out of refried beans. read more

Meh. Meh. Meh. Meh. I've tried this place several times, not by choice, but, because some people I hang out with make bad choices. Anyways, the food is as common as common can get. There is no wow in the tacos, they botched bean and cheese, the easiest taco to make. Beans aren't supposed to be watery, that's gross, they need to go to taco school or hang in grandma's kitchen some more. The staff isn't that attentive, never get offered a refill, always gotta beg for it. Seating is limited inside, and if the weather sucks outside, you're screwed. I know Mexican restaurants are a dime a dozen in this city. Pass this one up, you'll find better in the area. Just keep going, it's right next to the dmv, so once you passed it, you're in the clear to better food. read more

Great food! The mini tacos of asada are well served and they come with a cup of charros beans.

The drive thru service takes ridiculously long. I really wanted some tacos before work But sadly I had to leave the line because it took over 30 minutes for just two cars and I could no longer wait. Good food but, inconsistent service. They forget items in drive thru then claim you didn't ask for them. Charge you regular price for a sale item if you don't ask for the sale price! They messed up my order so bad that the manager said, on the phone, no problem give us your info we'll replace it the next time you come in. Next time came and they refused to give me my food. Claimed they'd never heard of me, I have been going in there for 4 years, and the manager didn't leave anything regarding me. There wasn't any effort made to check for my name ect. I live right across the street from this place and had been a loyal customer since their inception. I had even made it a point to bring in new customers to bolster their mom and pop economy. Seems now that they've taken off they're forgetting who and what got them to where they are! read more

This food is not good at all their cheese is never melted and HEB tortillas and guacamole is better than this place

I come here about 3 times a week since I work a block away. The drive thru lady always recognizes me and says hello. Today I ordered the lunch special which comes with a sweet tea. I asked for half tea/half lemonade and I was still charged for the FULL price of a lemonade when I only got HALF. Seeing as that I'm a loyal costumer who ALWAYS tips even when I'm in the drive thru line, you'd think they would just not charge me. I'm very disappointed in the customer service. If anything I should've been charged half price. Customer service is everything and theirs is poor. read more

Came in with a buddy of mine who dines here often. And by often I mean 2-3 times a week! He has a knack for finding places that serve great food at a great price with a side of smile and this sure is one of them! At first sight I may have never come in, only cause when I've driven past it, it's usually not busy so I assumed, yes I said ASSumed, that maybe the food wasn't good. Oh, also cause it's not close to home. But as said and heard time and time again, never judge a book by its cover. They have a huge menu that includes breakfast and dinner. I had the special which was enchiladas rojas, served with rice, beans, avocado and two tortillas. Food came out quick and hot and tasty! Service was excellent! I will be back! read more

Oh boy, I can rebuke every negative review for this little mom and pop restuarant all day long, but the truth is that I came in from houston looking for an authentic Mexican food restuarant while taking courses at the university of texas dental branch on floyd curls and Louis Pasteur st., and found that their food is outstandingly authentic. It's not one of those "want to be Mexican Restuarante" that have not earthly idea what real authentic food tastes like. So if you want real taste. Thus the place I would say you need to visit, and furthermore, their prices or incredible great. On taste I'll give it 5 star. On scenery, it about 3 star. But what do you want, good food or a prestigious scenery? Service is outstanding too. So you don't have to take my word for it. Check it out yourself. You decide if I'm right or wrong. My girlfriend and I just got our new home in the Hillcrest/Babcock and we were dying to find out what will be our new Taco Spot/Hangover Cure, we tried "Los Cocos" our first weekend at our new place and the breakfast tacos were decent at best so the following weekend we tried "Mi Sierra" and we fell in love, the eggs were perfect, tortillas were made fresh and they had a great special for 3 of the same tacos for a low price, the only reason we didn't give it 5 stars was because they didn't give us enough of their fantastic salsa, we made this our weekend morning hangover spot. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would! This place is terrible. This is the second time I've been here and will not be coming back. The service is terrible and slow.
