I called two places and they weren't able to squeeze me in for a walk in but TT's welcomed me with open arms and an open nail technician, Hoang! I got a standard manicure with gel polish, my nail tech Hoang even helped reconstruct a nail that I'd been having trouble with lately without me really asking, she just helped me tremendously! I think she used dip powder for the nail reconstruction and it turned out so well! She really took her time and did a great job with cleaning my cuticles, removing old gel polish, and repainting. Truly left me impressed and the price was right, about $45 for the whole thing not including tip. She even ended with hand massages! I haven't had a nail salon do this before so it was the perfect ending to a delightful experience. 10/10 recommend TT's Nail Salon, located right next to the Mattress Firm on City Walk Drive. Plenty of parking and they are open til 7:00 pm, which is perfect for those needing a visit after work. This place isn't nearly as busy as it should be during a holiday week so please go show TT's some love, they have new management and they're so appreciative of the business! Support local :)

Having read goods reviews about Ultra Nails, I decided to try it. My experience was wonderful! They are open late, so no pressure to get there early, the ambiance was cozy and comfortable, and the fish tank is especially relaxing. My nail tech (I forget her name, but I think she was the manager) was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and shared several facts with me that helped me understand my nails better. She was very friendly and we had good conversation about our holiday plans. But most of all, she did an excellent job on my nails. Over two weeks later, they are growing out nicely. AND, she was able to apply the acrylic thinly, so as to make them look more like my natural nail. This is a difficult skill, apparently, as she is only the second person who has ever done this on my nails.

I've been to see Declyn at Salon Ultimo 3x now for a cut/color, and I am very happy with the…read moreresults. I used to color my own hair and go to one of the budget hair cut locations, which did a good job while and met my needs for years. However being a woman in my later 50's and concerned over my aging hair, I finally decided to go to a pro salon initially to get a professional cut/color to see if would be better, and it's a resounding YES. It's a bit more $$, but the cut/color results are 10X better than when I did it myself. Declyn figured out cut that fits me on the first visit and with my thinning hair, the light bob works great with a well layered cut that has given me some volume again on top that I can play with...as some may say, it's all in the cut. I love red, and she tried a couple different colors and by the 3rd time she hit it spot on...it's red & it's sexy! The color is solid and doesn't rinse out or come out on my clothes/bedding like the OTC color would...I love it. She also recommended the Surface 'Awaken' products for thinning hair, I get the Awake Mask and treatment with my cut/color, and I'm happy with the improvements to my hair. Again, all this costs a bit more than when I was coloring it myself with a $15 cut, but the improvement is tremendous, I look better, it gives me a boost to my self-esteem, and that's worth it. Also, check out their NailTek products to protect and repair your nails, in particular the #3 for hard brittle nails or #4 for weak, thin nails; good products. The salon is nicely designed, comfortable space, though the noise level is a bit high...the sounds of talk and hair dryers can be hard to talk/hear through. They are doing some redesign of the space (2Q/21) and hope they have taken some sound attenuation measures in the remodel. My suggestion is to employ some passive sound attenuation like acoustic panels or fabrics mounted/hanging in the ceiling to capture some of the sound. The space is all hard surfaces, wood floor, cabinets, open hard ceilings, windows...and the sound bounces all over never getting absorbed by anything. Active Noice Reduction (ANR) is another way (but more $) to manage in particular the sound of hair dryers, and this would be the best method for that narrow band of sound. It's not terrible, but it's something I wish more retails spaces would address.

She has the magic touch! I don't know what she does but her waxes are definitely less painful than other specialists I have seen. She always cleans up my eyebrows without making them too thin, which is exactly what I like. She finds the perfect amount of sideburn to wax off, and very kindly mentioned I had just a couple of hairs on my chin she could get. She really listens to her clients and has great attention to detail so that I always walk away looking flawless! She also gets bikini waxes done in fewer passes so my skin does not get irritated. She takes great care to look and make sure not a single hair was left behind. I've never had anyone else tweeze my legs! Her eye for precision means I don't have to worry about those pesky short hairs that waxing can miss. She ensures I leave looking and feeling smooth! The Salon is very nice and has a warm atmosphere, figuratively and literally. The temperature is always comfortable and the tables have warmers on them, which is a great touch! Nevertheless, the prices are very reasonable compared to other places. (Please don't raise them because I said that!) So you can get a spa experience for a little less than you would pay at somewhere like European Wax Center. You also get a very nice welcome gift your first time in, which includes a number of coupons to encourage you to try the myriad of services the salon has to offer. I can't wait to try them!

I was warmly greeted with a warm towel and taken to the women's locker room. The room was clean and had little items to make your time enjoyable such as a hair tie and a candy in your locker! I enjoyed about 20 minutes in the waiting area with a sparkling water, Oreo and some mixed nuts before heading to my massage. My massage therapist was WONDERFUL!! I had a 50 minute deep tissue massage and I wish I would have booked longer. It was sooooo relaxing! The table was heated, so that felt nice! I am 240lbs and 5'7 and fit on the table fine. I also had a 2x robe and it also fit perfectly! Definitely plus size friendly! After my massage I waited in the lobby area a little longer to enjoy my relaxation and then headed to the women's locker room to change.
