If you don't like loud music with all of the lyrics, this is not the place for you. In addition, there's an 18% gratuity automatically added to the bill. Got to speak with the owner and she let me know that some of the recipes where originally her grandmother(her big mama) recipes so I knew they would be gray and when I tell you it did not disappoint it didn't! Her big mama put her foot In that oxtail recipe! Everything was well seasoned honestly some of the best food I've had in Texas thus far! I would highly recommend booking a reservation on weeks as they are packed. I came in on a Sunday night almost at the end so I bearly had time for the kitchen they do shut down the kitchen one hour prior to closing so be mindful. In regards to that I wanted to try the oven was off for the night but the owners made sure we got our desserts and cut the oven on just for us I am so thankful I say definitely try all the options. Service: Our server was amazing, you can tell she was seasoned in the hospitality business and refused to let us do anything uurselves. From pouring our champagne to simply placing a plate in front of us. Vibe: If you're a millennial or early gen Z, this is your vibe. We were dancing in our chairs at 11am; I cannot imagine how good it is at night but if this is any indication, it's prime. The decor is gorgeous, soft sea foams, emeralds, and greenery give the place a art deco modern vibe that is to die for Food: Food was good, not phenomenal. We had the Cajun deviled eggs which have a Cajun grilled shrimp on them. You could tell they had been prepped earlier, I'm fine with the egg being prepped but not the shrimp. It was room temp and not freshly grilled. For entree we did the crab cake grits, crab cake was delicious and tasted fresh the grits were a little too salty for my taste but solid. Potatoes weren't too shabby... not prepackaged but not crisply fried either (they do fry them in bacon lard from the taste). Champagne bottle was $40 which is typical Wycliffe brand. They're still ordering coffee cups so my coffee was served in a Moscow Mule cup, basic basic coffee. Overall, a great experience. My husband and I decided to try MV yesterday afternoon for our date night. It required a cc to make the reservation. Didn't like that but we went with it. The decor was lovely. Plenty of parking spaces since it was 5:30. The hostess was putting us at a table that seats 6. That made no sense to me. Asked to sit at the 4 seat table. She appeared to be a little annoyed at this request. I did notice most of the tables seat 6-8 people. That's different. At 5:30, listening to very loud profanity filled music was a big turn off. Most people were at the bar so not sure why a cc was needed for the reservation. Even when we left, the restaurant still had plenty of space. Donna came over to bring us water. Told us our server will be there soon. No server for a bit. Donna came back over and got our drink order. I left for a few minutes to take a call outside. On my way out, there were 4 employees sitting on the benches by the front door. It's not a good look. Went back in several minutes later after my phone call. No drinks still. Soon after, Brittany, our server, showed up. Gave her our food order. Food showed up delivered by someone who was not Brittany. Still no drinks. I had to wave her down and I think that's when she remembered our drinks because she went straight to the bar and picked them up because they were sitting there waiting. Then when she brought them to our table, she blamed the bartender for being behind. THE DRINKS WERE GOOD. We ordered the crabcake and the pasta Rasta. The description for the crabcake was one large crabcake but instead two small ones came out. Maybe they knew my husband and I were going to split the crabcakes and went ahead and made two small ones instead of one large one. But I don't know. The pasta had a small piece of chicken breast that was sliced into 4-5 smaller pieces. For $25, I would have expected at least the whole chicken breast. THE FOOD WAS TASTY. We got our bill and they charged us (party of 2) 18% gratuity. We inquired with Brittany about it. She told us "It's a tip to share with the rest of the staff and if you would like to add another tip that would be great " Needless to say no additional tip. No where on the menu was it mentioned about the 18% gratuity and definitely was not told about it ahead of time. Because based on the service we received, Brittany would not have gotten 18% at all. The price point for everything on the limited menu is high. (Nothing wrong with a limited menu). Then once we got our table ( we had to wait about an hour since we were a large party and expected to wait) we ordered more drinks and ordered appetizers. I am extremely sadden to have to rate Miami Vibes with a 3 out of 5 stars. It is actually hurting me so but I must be honest. However, let me tell you why....First off, my friend took me there to celebrate my birthday and the ambience was beautiful, the restaurant wasn't in the best location but when you walked in, you forget about the outside. The color scheme is actually my business colors so I loved that right off and it was spacious and everyone was, for the most part, dressed to impress. Secondly, the food was amazing. I had the devil eggs, the red snapper, broccoli, brussel sprouts, and my friend had the lamb chops! It was all amazing! I had no qualms with any of the food at all! Now this is where things turned left for me. We set upfront near the VIP section and about 10 to 15 mins after being seated, the DJ comes in and starts playing the most ratchet music I have ever heard. At this point, I am trying to enjoy fine dining and all I could hear was p***y, b**ch, f**k, etc. and it was so loud my friend and I couldn't even talk while we ate. We couldn't hear anything above the music and I sho' didn't want to hear that while I ate. It wouldn't have been that bad if all of the music for the night didn't have the same level of ratchetness but it did. The DJ choice of music just turned an amazing experience to a bad one. I was so appalled and felt extremely uncomfortable the rest of the night. So much so that my friend and I ended up leaving prematurely and we went somewhere else afterwards just to talk and to cleanse ourselves from the filthy music that was blaring throughout the night. I want to rant and rave about Miami Vines so bad because the food was good but that choice of music that was played only fit one genre of people but the people that I saw there appeared to be very class and looking for a grown and sexy vibe not trying to hang with the 20 year olds and teenagers -- the music just didn't match the vibe. I don't mind hip hop, etc as long as it is clean and tasteful especially in a classy restaurant setting like this. I would love to come back but it is N-O for me if that is the normal type of music being played. It was my first time there and I thought I was having a twilight zone experience and somehow teleported to an Oak Cliff club in the hood. I would never want to pay a classy restaurant bill $$ for a hood-like experience. To top it all off, my friend told the waistress that it was my birthday and no one came to sing, provide a dessert or anything. I would have even paid for the dessert if it was offered. Tried this place for the first time last night. My group had a variety of things off of the menu. The roasted chicken was bland. So was the salmon, sweet potatoes, and Mac n cheese. The brussel sprouts were the best thing but even with that they were lazy and didn't even cut off the tips? Idk that feels lazy to me. My friends liked the oxtails, deviled eggs, wings and the pasta. The entrees also do not come with sides which is a disappointment! The ambience seemed to be nice and the dj was on point. The drinks were ok. Our service was good. The amount of money you spend here is disappointing because the food is not as satisfying as it should be. You could go to a steakhouse or an upscale restaurant. I think for the future if they want to be sustainable, at least include sides/season the food better ?And add more variety to the menu. read more

The drinks were terrible, honestly. I'm not sure if it was an issue with the bartender or just their recipe. The daiquiri was amazing, however. The real issue was with the wings and fries. There was no flavor option for the wings. So I'm thinking, okay they must be some great wings to be serving naked. Wrong. I could have made better wings in the air fryer. The fries were even worse. By this time we were tipsy so all in all we had a good laugh. Imagine public school lunch.. that's the fries! This is an expensive place for the food to be mediocre. Recently visited this spot. Most of us ordered the Rasta pasta some with chicken and some with shrimp the wings and salmon and we loved the food. The ambiance was nice and according to my friends the daiquiris were on point. The downside is was the service. We had a somewhat large group and we were all surprised the waitress would remember our orders. Half our order comes out in about 10-15 min and the other half wasn't coming out so we sat and shared our plates and about 30 min later the waitress comes and realizes we're missing half the orders so she goes back and I guess they were confused in the back and didn't get half the order. We were fine with it no biggie mistakes happen. We finished eating and waited about 45 min looking around for our waitress so we can pay and leave. Then we finally received our bill and half of it was correct and the other half was incorrect. I personally was annoyed and tired at this point. They ended charging my card for items we didn't order. We had to go through a whole process to get it fixed. And I was mad I didn't even care anymore I just wanted to leave and go home so I just paid whatever.
