I love Micah's it's not only a yummy little coffee shop but it's locally owned!! I live to support local businesses these days!! Michah's now offers a loyalty card and I only paid $1.06 for a 24oz March coffee called the clover. The two young ladies that work in there are amazing and so very friendly!! Thank you for my yummy coffee on a cold and snowy day!!

Staff is super friendly but brewed coffee is way watered down. Order an espresso drink if you come here, stay clear of the brewed coffee.

To paraphrase the Beatles, there's nothing I can say that can't be said, but man do I love, love, love this place. Excellent whole bean offerings, roasted to perfection by expert roasters. Delicious hot and iced coffee and espresso drinks that simply can't be replicated anywhere nearby--including, sadly, in my home town of Staunton (hey, Trager Brothers! There's a huge opportunity for expansion in the Queen City!). And top all that off with sublime, informed, and incredibly friendly front of house staff. Yeah, it's a little hard to find, but anything worth having is worth looking for. And in this age of googling and Apple mapping and whatnot, there's no excuse for not availing yourself to the BEST coffee in central Virginia. Y'all who might have read some of my other reviews will know: I usually have a minor nit to pick with even my five stars. Not so with the Brothers Trager, fam. Enter their shop and be greeted by the heavenly aroma of roasting coffee, the whir of a burr grinder, the quiet scream of a steaming wand, the genuine smile and friendly greeting of the barista. Now, you tell me: how could you possibly find a quibble worth the scribble?

If you're looking for a big ole store or facility that screams coffee shop, you're looking wrong. It's in in the far end of a building off to your right when you follow the signs. (seriously the signs are key here). When you enter the main building, you're hit with the awesome aroma of coffee... just head to the end and walk in the door. It's a cool shop that Is totally worth visiting. If anything, it's b/c of the high quality coffee they offer. There really isn't much to do here other than pickup great coffee but I guess I can't think of what else you'd really need. :) Cheers! Food Taste: great coffee! My friends and I went to Afton this past weekend for a quick getaway. Before the trip, I did some…read moreresearch on local coffee roasters, and Happ Coffee was easily at the top of my list. On our way to our Airbnb, a friend and I stopped by Happ, which is located inside an industrial-style building that's incredibly spacious. There's plenty of seating, along with a dedicated area where beans are available for purchase. The barista was really friendly, and we ended up having an in-depth conversation about drink recommendations. When I settled on a cappuccino, he walked me through how each milk option paired with the espresso. I ultimately chose whole milk since it doesn't have an overpowering flavor like almond milk, which allowed the light-roast espresso (an optional upgrade) to really shine. I didn't fully enjoy the cappuccino during the first couple sips because the mouthfeel of the whole milk felt a bit too thick, which didn't pair well with the light roast. However, it became more harmonious as I continued drinking, and the highlight was definitely the bright sweetness of the espresso. I really appreciate a coffee shop that pulls a light-roast espresso well. The barista asked for my thoughts, which I shared, and he then pulled me a shot using their South Paw (house espresso blend) beans to try. I thoroughly enjoyed this light-medium espresso, which was bright and strong, without the unpleasant acidity or bitterness that often follows. I don't typically recommend ordering a straight espresso shot at most coffee shops, but Happ does it well. Overall, it was a great experience -- lovely coffee and friendly baristas who genuinely care about their craft. I left with one of their limited-release coffees (a Peruvian Geisha), which I'm looking forward to trying as a pour-over at home.

I ordered the El Diablo Latte, and it was phenomenal. The cayenne and ancho brought a gentle warmth, the cinnamon and vanilla rounded it out, and the chocolate and espresso tied it all together beautifully. Spiced, smooth, and perfectly balanced. I also had a V60 pour-over of their seasonal Costa Rican single origin, and it was incredibly clean and expressive. I genuinely tasted the pomegranate and hibiscus notes, with a subtle cocoa finish. Bright without being sharp -- just a really well-executed cup. The triple ginger scone was the perfect pairing with the latte -- tender inside, lightly crisp outside, and warmly spiced without overpowering. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, the space was welcoming, and the quality across the board was top-tier. My only suggestion? Stickers. I'd absolutely put one on my laptop. Highly recommend.

I asked for the bagel to be sliced, which they did and then I was not given a knife so I had to ask again for a knife to spread the cream cheese. I then waited for an extended period of time for my latte, no there was not a line a of drinks to be made. The barista gave my drink away so I asked if my drink would be ready soon and she told me that someone must have taken it, she then promptly made the latte. The bagel was cold and dry, even with the cream cheese. The latte however was moderately enjoyable. Overall, I will not be returning.

Reunion has been a breath of fresh air - really good espresso drinks, pastries, and breads. To be 100% honest, Crucible's coffee is better, but their pastry selection is minuscule and they can feel a bit stuffy. Reunion's pastries are good, though I wish they had more French-inspired things like pain au chocolat, croissants, or even soft cinnamon rolls, but I feel they excel more at the breads side of baking. I got a mini sourdough loaf once and it was excellent! Service is always friendly and happy, and the shop itself is cute, but there isn't much space inside. I'm all for tables outside, but there's not much real estate there either, especially on a busy morning. I think a small adjustment to flow could make it easily sit a couple cafe tables inside without it feeling so crowded. I just miss the days of being able to hang out and have good coffee and snacks while doing some work on a laptop. Seems like most businesses would rather have you out the door instead. I have high standards for bakeries and cafes, and Reunion meets most of them. They're now my favorite place to go in the mornings in Staunton... if they're open. I would go there much more often if I could actually eat my breakfast there instead of having to get back in my car or sit in the blistering summer heat.
