The food was great and our waitress was friendly and quick to help us. Our breakfast was great, I had the "ADVENTURER" (I THINK) which was an omelette stuffed with mushrooms and tomatoes with swiss cheese. The tip that was charged on my credit card was inflated to an almost 50% tip by my server. Service was average so I know that I wouldn't have left more than a 20% tip. I called the restaurant to discuss and they said they would call me back and never did and never fixed the issue. Make sure you keep your receipts so you can report fraud with your credit card company, I have learned my lesson and will be keeping my receipts from now on. We ALWAYS stop at this joint when passing through. The food is so delicious, the service is so delightful, the restaurant is so clean and neat, the bathrooms are so tidy and the staff is so efficient and kind. The best part is they offer gluten free options on their Paleo menu. The Paleo waffles are amazing! The portions are large and filling. The coffee is hot and always topped off. We went here after a night shift and we were so thankful they were Open on Easter for breakfast! They had a mimosa special and 4 other flavors. I had the cheesesteak scramble that was on special and the rest of the crew had omelettes. Every plate was cleaned! Our waitress was so friendly and flighty in the most fun way. It's cozy inside and it looks like there is a wait if you don't get there early. I took home some zucchini bread because my waitress recommended it... I feel like one of the most important parts of being ranked as a 5-star establishment is consistency. And Michael D's is consistently solid across the board. The food is great, the service is great and the customer experience is great. CDA has a lot of competition in the breakfast market and Michael D's more than holds its own. There is plenty of parking and wait times have been reasonable even when it's busy. I've enjoyed every meal I've had there and plan to return. I love Michael D's I absolutely love this place. I had the courageous omelet with Cajun sausage and the Paleo pancakes the sauce that comes with the courageous omelet very spicy great flavor. Lots of breakfast options, many are vegetarian friendly. I ordered Pasquale's Scramble: eggs with cucumber, tomatoes and cheese. Served with potatoes and I chose the sourdough toast, which was truly excellent. The scramble was surprisingly light. The eggs were cooked just right. Pretty good breakfast place. It's extremely crowded after church on Sundays so plan on a wait. While they typically serve breakfast and lunch, it is breakfast only on Sundays. Somewhat limited breakfast menu, but what they do, they do well. Pancakes are huge! Choice of bread includes an individual zucchini loaf - scrumptious! It always tastes fresh. UPDATE: Changed back to a 5! Everything is back to normal, delicious as ever. :) We love this place! This has been one of our favorite breakfast spots for years! The food and service are typically both great. Recently, the food quality has gone down a bit which is a bummer, but I'm hoping this is temporary. They've made some disappointing changes (like using frozen cubed potatoes instead of they're previous potatoes that were AMAZING.) I'm hoping that they were just forced to cut corners temporarily and will soon return with the great food we've always loved. Mediocre. Things weren't bad, they were just kind of flavorless. Bacon was good quality and thick. Zucchini bread was OK. French toast was bland. Pesto in the Benedict doesn't pop. Maybe not mix it in the hollandaise so it's more concentrated. Potatoes were good. read more

We really like Michael D's. Great breakfast place. I would highly recommend trying a cinnamon roll and a biscuit. Sausage is also very tasty. Pancakes and potatoes are good, but not their strongest parts. Prices are pretty good but I have one thing that I do not like which you can see below. This place can be packed but we have gotten in reasonably quickly and have always had great service. I debated between 4* and 5* for a little bit, but eventually decided to give 4* for a couple reasons. The first one is just a pet peeve of mine, expensive pancakes. Pancakes cost $7 for two cakes here. Pancakes cost about 25 cents to make, so it annoys me when they are just as expensive as a 2 egg combo. The second is there is no meal that has pancakes, eggs, potatoes and meat in one meal. I understand that is a lot of food, and not everyone wants all of those things, but most places have at least one option to get a big breakfast like that. However, the food is very good and I love the atmosphere. Laid back, casual breakfast place. Log cabin-ish feel (which I love) and it makes me think of summer. We will be coming back to MD's for sure! read more

This is an old school restaurant that deserves 5 stars. Nothing fancy here just great home cooking! We had a group of seven and everyone was more than pleased with their meal. Service was also spot on especially for our large group. We are moving to the area soon and we will definitely make this a regular breakfast stop for us. read more
