Dr B has taken care of me and my smile since 2016. I have referred countless family and friends to his practice and we all love him. My aunt in particular has a fear of dentists and Dr B makes her feel safe and comfortable every visit. The staff is friendly, professional, and kind. The office is gorgeous and the state of the art equipment they use makes X-rays and scans easy and comfortable.

I was told it "should be covered by insurance" and that I'd only pay the difference, so I agreed to move forward. At checkout, I paid $350 and was told I'd be reimbursed after insurance was billed. Later, I found out my insurance didn't cover it at all. My concern wasn't that insurance denied the claim, it was that I was led to believe my coverage had been verified. Had I known I would likely be responsible for the full cost, I would have waited until I was financially ready. I asked if they could offer a discount given the misinformation, but after more than two months of trying to reach the manager, I was told there was nothing they could do because I had received the service. What disappointed me most was the lack of accountability and willingness to address my concerns. I ended up canceling my follow-up appointment and won't be returning. I would recommend confirming that your insurance has actually been verified before agreeing to any treatment that could leave you paying out of pocket.

I was recommended by my cousin to check this place out because I was having TMJ issues and was looking into Botox. It made me much more comfortable knowing I was getting it done at a dental practice rather than just an aesthetic spa. I was able to call and easily set up an appointment, and the lady I spoke with over the phone was very helpful. When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted by Lily and Alexis at the front desk. Angelica then checked me in and got me settled. The entire office was so nice, clean, and modern, and all of the equipment looked new and top-tier. Dr. Nguyen was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions. The whole process was also very quick and easy! It's been a week since I had the Botox done, and I can already see and feel a difference. My jaw muscles feel much more relaxed, and my jaw is no longer sore, which was my main issue before. I did experience a little soreness around day 5, but it went away by day 6. By the one-week mark, I wasn't feeling any discomfort at all. I know Botox can take some time to fully settle, so I'm happy with how everything has been progressing so far. Overall, the entire process was great, and the communication from start to finish was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone dealing with TMJ or considering Botox for it. I might even switch my regular dentist and start coming here for my dental care as well!

I've been going to this dental office for about a year after being referred by someone in a local…read moreFacebook group. My initial impression was very positive. The office is beautiful and has the upscale feel and extra amenities I was looking for. The assistants who escort you to your room, get you settled, and assist the dentist and hygienist have also consistently been kind, welcoming, and professional. Unfortunately, my overall experience has declined, and there are several concerns that ultimately led me to decide I will not be returning. During one of my first visits, I mentioned that I had been experiencing intermittent tooth pain for years. The dentist examined the area and took an X-ray but said everything looked fine. I understood that there might not be an obvious dental issue, but when I continued to express concern about the recurring pain, the response was delivered in a frustrated tone and essentially suggested that it was a matter of how much pain I could tolerate. I found the response dismissive and uncomfortable. I briefly mentioned my concern at a later visit, but I was hesitant to pursue it further because I did not want to feel like I was bothering the dentist. Later, another dentist recommended replacing a couple of fillings. The fillings were not particularly old, but I was told replacing them would be beneficial as a preventative measure. I agreed and scheduled the procedure several months later. The fillings were small, but the procedure took considerably longer than I expected based on my previous experiences. The dentist repeatedly requested different instruments, which made me increasingly uncomfortable. Once the numbness wore off, I realized that my bite was significantly off. I immediately contacted the office and returned for a recheck with another dentist, who confirmed that the fillings were too high and adjusted them. At that point, my bite felt much better. Unfortunately, within a few days, I began experiencing significant pain in that area. I was flossing regularly and initially couldn't understand what was causing the problem. I eventually used an interdental pick, something I had never needed to use before, and discovered that food was consistently getting trapped between the teeth where the filling had been replaced. I had never experienced this issue with those teeth previously. I contacted the office again and was offered another evaluation, but at that point I was hesitant to return for yet another visit related to the same fillings. I now have to routinely use an interdental pick after eating to remove food that gets trapped in the area. I'm still confused as to why this became an issue immediately after the fillings were replaced. My other major concern is the billing process. In my experience, the office has received insurance payments that were higher than what I was originally charged, but I was not proactively notified, refunded, or given an account credit. I had to follow up repeatedly regarding the overpayments. At one point, I was told the office had not received the insurance checks, even though the insurance company confirmed that the checks had been issued, received, and cashed by the dental office. That experience was ultimately the final straw for me. I want to emphasize that the staff and overall appearance of the office are excellent, and I genuinely appreciate how kind the assistants have been throughout my visits. However, good customer service and a beautiful office cannot make up for concerns about communication, the quality and outcome of dental work, and billing transparency. After approximately a year as a patient, I have decided to take my dental care elsewhere.

I've been here twice now for an exam & cleanings after not having been to the dentists office for an extended period of time. The new patient experience here is also as streamlined as possible, with plenty of reminders and intake forms sent ahead of time. The hygienist ended up performing the exam and providing diagnostic information, which was concerning and not what I expected from a dental appointment. After I posted a review describing my experience, Dr. Shartsman responded publicly with statements about me that were false and retaliatory. He claimed I was rude to his staff and made additional comments that were inappropriate and unprofessional. Yelp ultimately removed his response for violating their guidelines. It was disappointing to see the situation handled this way, especially considering the issue began with the office failing to provide the basic service I was scheduled for. My experience did not reflect the professionalism I expect from a dental practice.

For example the doctor told his staff to conduct a CT scan. Never quoted a price. After I was told it cost almost $1000 but that I'd be charged 50% of their earlier lower price (almost $200). And they proceeded to bill my dental insurance the entire nearly $1000 for the imaging (which my insurance denied). I'm scheduled for extraction and implant early next year but when I asked for the cost I was told they need to calculate it and let me know. I'm still waiting 3 weeks later. I like Dr Tassone as a dentist but there have been times from visit to visit that his diagnosis changes. I don't want to change dentists but now getting teeth cleaning elsewhere. I'm aware opinions can change and different dentists offer entirely different treatment options. What I don't appreciate are my dental insurance benefits getting wiped out before I can blink twice. After that I'm on my own and having to decide if want to pay the high rates.

So I had to go back again for them to redo it. When leaving, I needed an implant so I made an appointment and asked if it is covered by insurance. Sure it will be I was told. After waiting months for my appointment, I show up and am handed a bill for $2,500 dollars. What?! And then I was told I didn't have enough on my insurance because of the chipped tooth repair work. I could have waited. Why didn't they tell me this when I asked?! Then I asked why this was so expensive and they said I'm being billed based on my zip code. Great, so they are overcharging me. Also, I needed to sign a form that I understand my dentist is an independent contractor. So they are like stylists at a hair salon renting a chair there? They have a big sign at the front saying how they were voted best this and best that. I wonder how much they paid for those. No way. I will never use them again and I don't recommend them at all. Liars, cheats and shoddy work. I'm looking elsewhere.
