Very impressed, in today for a dental exam and cleaning. Discussed my teeth and future needs with Dr Skidmore. I've got a crown to go on an implant in the next few weeks and replacing an old filing lined up. Jenifer the hygienist cleaned and polished my teeth up. Nice job. Didnt poke me once. She must have sensed my nervousness and was very gentle. Good job! Office is located on the third floor of a medical building. Big parking lot on three sides around the building .

Stay clear of this dental office! The staff is either uneducated or are purposefully withholding information. The people who work here were mean girls in highschool. They will give you expired products. If you choose this dental office you will also have a terrible experience. My terrible experience with Dr. Skimdores office is in regards to getting my teeth whitened. I made an appointment over the phone and the first person I talked to said that you can't just come in and get your teeth whitened. You have to take home trays with whitening serum for 2 weeks and then go in and get them whitened. (Other dental offices don't do this)  But I went along and made the appointment. I go in for my appointment to get the trays.  First, I was in the chair waiting to start for over 10 minutes because the assistants were gossiping in the back. I could very clearly hear them.  Then the assistant who did the scans didn't talk to me or explain what was happening. Conveniently,  the machine went into low power mode and wouldnt show the scans that were just taken. Mind you, the assistant didn't tell me what was happening, she just talked to her co-worker about it so I had to eavesdrop. A 15 minute appointment took almost an entire hour. When I was told I could leave, I asked where my trays were and was told I had to come back in a week for them. I was never told that it would take three appointments for the whitening. One for the scan, second for the trays, third for the in house service. My husband came and got the trays a week later. We opened up the instructions and saw that you have to wear the trays THE ENTIRE NIGHT for 2 weeks in a row. Not one of the 3 people that I spoke to throughout the process said that you needed to wear the whitening trays, at night or for even the entire night. Then I noticed the whitening serum was expired as of March of 2019. Not only had I received terrible customer service but now I needed to make an extra trip to Temecula to receive non-expired whitening serum. Not to mention the front desk girls and assistants are the girls that were bullies in highschool. Very cliquey mean girl vibes. As well, the office has absolute zero diversity. When you go on the website to "meet the team" the 8 girls shown with Dr. Skidmore are all blonde and white. As you scroll down, to see the other members of the team they are almost all white-passing women. Such a lack of diversity and a very toxic office culture. My entire experience was met with rude people, there was such a huge lack of information given and it was not a pleasant experience. I paid 500$ upfront to get my teeth whitened and this is what I was met with.. Stay clear of this dental office.

My hometown dentist had set the bar high, but Ethos has truly exceeded all of my expectations and set a new standard of excellence. When I first started my search, I visited another dentist who quoted me nearly $8,000 for a root canal--even after insurance (Delta Dental). I was in pain, overwhelmed, and desperate for the right care. From the moment I called Ethos, I knew I was in good hands. The receptionists are some of the kindest, most attentive people I've ever met--they listen with care, are incredibly organized, and made sure I was seen right away. At my first appointment, Paige (the hygienist) was wonderful--gentle, thorough, and genuinely kind. The office itself is spotless, modern, and so comfortable. Each room has a TV with headphones, clean cozy blankets, and little touches that make you feel at ease. Dr. Vargas has been an absolute light throughout my entire experience. He is not only highly intelligent and skilled, but also approachable and compassionate. He explained every step of my care plan clearly, always put my best interest first, and made sure I felt heard and comfortable. I needed a couple of root canals (my first ever), and while I was nervous, the process was painless, quick, and seamless. Their referral for an endodontist was also excellent. Back at Ethos, Carlos did an amazing job crafting my temporary crown--it was carefully sculpted, perfectly color-matched, and surprisingly comfortable. My permanent crown was also a perfect fit, and when I needed a minor adjustment afterward, Dr. Vargas immediately got me in and personally followed up to make sure everything felt right. The fact that he even called me after appointments to check in says everything about the level of care here. More recently, I had another cleaning and started their whitening program. The team took into account my teeth sensitivity and took the time to explain the process thoroughly and made sure my whitening trays were precise and comfortable. At that visit I also saw Dr. Sewell, who was so fun, energetic, and personable--he has a fantastic sense of humor and made the whole experience enjoyable. From start to finish, Ethos has gone above and beyond in every aspect of care. Whether you see Dr. Vargas or Dr. Sewell, you will be treated with kindness, expertise, and genuine care. I can't recommend Ethos Advanced Dental Care enough--it's truly the best dental experience I've ever had.

Dr. Lange took the time to carefully ensure that the crowns fit well with her existing dental work and made adjustments so everything felt comfortable. He was very gentle and patient throughout the process, which really helped put my mom at ease. His assistant, Rene, was also wonderful. He was kind, attentive, and made sure my mom felt comfortable during the visits. What we appreciated most was that both Dr. Lange and Rene took the time to educate us. They explained what they were doing, answered our questions, and discussed alternative options in case my mom continues to have sensitivity. That level of communication meant a lot. Dr. Lange is a private practice owner who clearly cares about his patients and the quality of his work. It is refreshing to see a dentist who takes the time to make sure things are done right and that patients feel comfortable throughout the process. We are very grateful for the care my mom received. I had an incredibly frustrating and disrespectful experience with this office that ended up wasting…read moretwo full months of my time. I previously had dental work done elsewhere where a tooth was ground down too far, and I simply wanted cosmetic bonding to rebuild and even out the teeth. This office advertises bonding, so I scheduled an appointment specifically for that service. At my first appointment, I was expecting to see Dr. Josh, but I was seen by a completely different dentist. Instead of discussing bonding (the reason I scheduled the appointment), the entire visit turned into a hard sales pitch for veneers. I repeatedly made it clear that I was not interested in veneers and only wanted bonding. I was then told the dentist who actually performs bonding was not even in the office, so they scheduled another appointment, which had to be a month later due to my traveling work schedule. I came in for my second "consultation" expecting to finally meet with Dr. Josh and discuss the situation face-to-face. Instead, the dentist never came out to see me at all. The condescending receptionist had to repeatedly go to the back to speak with someone and then come back to relay messages. I was ultimately turned away and told the doctor "was not comfortable" doing the bonding with no further explanation as to why. So after two months of waiting, taking time off work, and showing up to my appointment, the doctor didn't even have the basic courtesy to come out, look at my teeth, or explain the decision in person. If they were never willing to do bonding, that should have been communicated from the beginning instead of dragging this out for two months and pushing veneers. The whole experience felt like they were far more interested in upselling expensive cosmetic procedures than actually helping me with the service they advertise. I travel frequently for work and am on a time crunch, and this situation has been incredibly stressful because I simply want my smile to look normal again after the previous dental work. The lack of communication, lack of transparency, and complete disregard for my time was extremely disappointing. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you're seeking honest cosmetic dental work.

My boys are now young men and we haven't used Rancho Dental since 2017. My middle son came back from college up in Northern California for Winter 2024 break needing a cleaning and complaining of pain in his molars, and I contacted Rancho to get him in. I advised I had United Concordia, and the front desk said "we take that", with no mention of any caveats to the contrary. The appointment was scheduled and my son arrived, only to be told last minute that while they accept United Concordia, they are "out of contract" with them and there would be additional costs. My son, not being as savvy an adult yet, and needing the cleaning and exam as he was having pain in his molars, agreed. This was the week of Christmas and getting another exam scheduled before he had to return home the following week after Christmas would have not been possible. We are being billed by Rancho Dental for $189.00. The explanation is, while they "accept" United Concordia, they refuse to adhere to United Concordia's contracted cost schedule and sticks the difference to the Client. Aside from a "sorry we will make a note in the record, how would you like to pay?", that is all they offered to remediate this. Had Rancho Dental told me when I made the appointment for my son, that they in fact don't honor fee schedules of certain dental insurance carriers, we would have used anyone of the countless other equally capable dental groups in Temecula/Murrieta. Recommendation to Rancho Dental- Don't say you "accept" dental insurance carriers whose fee schedules you don't honor. Don't wait until the actual appointment time to then advise of it. Recommendation to potential customers- Insist that Rancho Dental will adhere to your plans fee schedule when you book you appointment. Its unfortunate that Rancho Dental burned a customer relationship over poor initial communication.

After placement, I continued having pain and cold sensitivity, and I raised concerns before any root canal was done that the crown was not contacting or functioning correctly. Multiple adjustments were made, but the problem was not resolved. I was then told to proceed with a root canal, and after that the crown still was not functioning properly. The end result was a crown with no proper occlusal contact that was not functional for normal chewing. Dr. Im also stated in writing, "You won't need a new crown" and "We do not remake crowns (my crowns) after root canal treatment." Despite all of that, Dr. Im refused to replace the crown or issue a refund. In my experience, the office felt more sales oriented than patient outcome oriented, and I was not comfortable with how far discussions went beyond the core dental issue I came in to address. I have filed complaints with the Dental Board of California and the California Attorney General.

First of all it took wayyy too long (I was there over 2 hours) just for a consult - no cleaning or anything. It was totally disorganized - they were having me fill out a million forms on paper then the same forms on a digital screen which took so long and I had to stop to start the appt. Dr Im would have kept me even longer and acted annoyed I had to leave after 2 hours 15 minutes. Secondly, Dr Im has a strange bedside manner. She didn't really "diagnose me" - she just rambled about tongue ties and kept pulling up screenshots on her computer to show me. It was a disjointed "presentation" not a diagnosis and I was entirely unclear what did or didn't relate to me. I kept asking questions to clarify and she would answer nonsensically so I kept getting more confused. Her assistant took about a thousand high res images and a scan of my skull. With no physical examination or further follow up using an explorer tool to tap on my teeth and feel for irregularities, she then declared I had "leaky fillings" and dental decay. She didn't tell me which specific teeth were supposedly experiencing these issues. I explained I had just last month had a dental exam and x rays and was cleared with no issues. She stated that you wouldn't see the decay on X-rays, only on her amazing cameras but assured me it could be reallyyy bad underneath (wouldn't you see it on the X-rays then?). She scoffed at the idea that a dentist can diagnose teeth unless they have her expensive camera set up. I think it's suspect she didn't ask to review my recent X-rays and simply dismissed them outright. IMO it is highly unusual and not best practice for a dentist to rely only on images, even high-resolution ones, to diagnose the condition of a filling. She appeared to have a bias towards technology, and came across as overly reliant on her camera system. My spidey senses were going off like crazy. After wasting my time she ended by saying I'd need to make an appt with their myofunctional therapist for an evaluation - why wasn't I sent there first? I didn't need a dental evaluation - I was looking for a tongue tie evaluation. I called my dentist and reported what they said about my teeth and they had me come back free of charge and my dentist said "your teeth are fine. No cavities. The fillings aren't cracked. You want to keep them as long as possible and avoid messing with them when not necessary." I found another dental office that, when I called, directed me to their myofunctional therapist directly for a consult. I'm so glad I didn't end up using Dr Im for my tongue tie. As others say be very very careful if you go here... and if she says you need a gazillion new fillings get another opinion!
