My husband has PTSD and anxiety from serving in Iraq. This means he hates going places, especially doctor and dental appointments, not only because of his PTSD but because of past trauma from pervious bad experiences. When he walked out of Dr. Mundl's office after his first appointment I was expecting a really bad mood just like after every other doctor appointment, but my husband came out smiling and told me this was the best dentist and staff he's ever met. The staff knew he's a veteran and was referred by the VA and did everything they could to make him comfortable and asked him questions about how he's feeling mentally and didn't go forward with anything until they knew my husband was okay. Today I had an appointment with Dr. Mundl to fill 3 cavities and get a temporary crown on my right side. A few months ago, I had the same thing done on my left side. Once again, a relaxing visit. Dr. Mundl and his staff are always professional, but so friendly. It really eases the stress and anxiety of visiting the dentist when you have to have work done. Never uncomfortable, never have I felt a shot. Amanda normally assists Dr. Mundl when he works on me and she's great too! They really make you feel at home! And I can't forget Keke! Dr Mundl and his staff are AWESOME! Have been to many dentist and always have to force myself to go back- not here...the office staff is very nice and personable. KiKi calls to check up on me and my family and they even saw my 2 year old son who have a bad fall and lacerated his gum- which they never charged me to take a look at it. My wife has bad TMJ and her jaw locks open at the dentist even for procedures as short as x-rays. She HATED going to the dentist. On the advice of a friend who's a dental assistant she tried Dr. Mundl and will never go anywhere else. For the first time in years she can have dental work done without needing sedation- just because they don't mind taking the extra time to give her the breaks she needs. We always had HMO dental insurance but after finding Dr. Mundl we switched to PPO just to be able to use his office- and although it seems like you may pay more...we actually save money as they do not try to up-sale other services.
