I came to visit my family in ohio this past weekend, one of the first places they took me to eat was here. I was pleasantly surprised by the Aesthetics of this place. It felt very welcoming and warm upon arrival, even though it was snowing outside a little. Bakery near the front was beautifully displayed ,along with all the other merchandise. Staff was semi attentive, atmosphere was nice, place seemed very well kept. Food was great and came at a very reasonable manner. Portion sizes were great as well. Definitely want to come back during the summer and try it out again.

Overall, the food was good and I was pleased. The service was okay but seemed a bit awkward. Overall, I would probably try it again.

Veal Saltimbocca Absolutely amazing. Veal was very tender and nicely topped with prosciutto. Risotto cake was a crispy shelled delight.

I'm looking forward to my next visit already. I dined here for my third time and I forgot what a hidden gem this place is. Off the beaten path in Little Italy, it's my favorite. The service was good, atmosphere was quaint, and all dishes were well prepared and served timely. Be sure to try as many pasta dishes as possible. The gnocchi and sacchietti were absolutely amazing. I ordered the veal saltimbocca and may be the best I've had. The risotto cake was a surprise. It's much larger than a hockey puck and very delicious.

I have been visiting Little Italy since I was young and never noticed or even heard of this charming little place nestled among older homes. It's a cozy restaurant that looks like it was once a carriage house and the dark, rich interior is most inviting. The staff is polite and friendly, the ambiance is family style but intimate and the bar is a "step up" to the side. Nice for a drink after work or a seat by the fireplace to relax with good conversation. All of the pasta is freshly made in-house, so we prepared for a tasteful treat. We ordered the Veal stuffed Tortellini tossed with prosciutto and green peas in a parm cheese sauce...decadent! A 1/2 order of the Lobster Ravioli with lobster claws and shrimp in a vodka tomato cream sauce...crazy good! and a 1/2 order of the Taglioni pasta with sea scallops, oven-dried tomatoes and garlic-basil EVOO sauce...yummmm! We enjoyed everything with one exception. It was a milestone birthday for me, they knew it in advance (asked if we were celebrating anything), we told them upon arrival and even toasted at the table. Not one celebration from the restaurant...not even a stinkin cannoli or gelato? Serioulsly???

Michaelangelo's is a small restaurant located at the edge of Little Italy. It was a nice restaurant with welcoming hostesses and waiters. My partner and I went for a date night and decided to try a little bit of everything. Luckily, they allowed us to get half portions of pasta so that we could try more things. We shared the pappardelle alla bolognese, sacchetti al tartufo, one of their specials, which was a sort of braised beef. All were very good. We also got the creme brulee and the tiramisu della casa, both delicious. We were so eager to eat them that I forgot to take a photo. Overall, the food was delicious and I would definitely come back! Service was nice and the restaurant itself had a good balance between being upscale but still cozy. This is a place I'll definitely bring my family when they visit me in cleveland.

    Delightful outside dining

Ambiance and speed of service was very good. We were seated quickly and food came out fast. We wished we'd sat outside the whole time but the skies looked a little grey so we sat inside one of the side buildings for dinner and then enjoyed dessert on one of the patios. Inside is very noisy - which we knew to expect from other reviews - but outside was perfectly delightful. We enjoyed our food overall but thought it was a tad overpriced and underseasoned. Wine was good but not great. The Moscato was the best of the ones we tried. We will go back because we want to try some of the other food items and enjoy more al fresco dining. We recommend reservations, particularly if you have a large party.

What a fabulous dinner! From start to finish, everything was incredible. The food was so rich and flavorful. Our server was a delight. The only things that weren't great were the people dining next to us who were a little obnoxious and their cellphones kept dinging. I could also do with the light levels being dimmed a little. But seriously, the food was top notch. Next time I go back I'll sit in the moody bar area. The prices are reasonable and I left with boxes of leftovers for the next day. As far as Little Italy goes, this just jumped to the top of the list.

Made an early dinner reservation before heading over to the orchestra. The restaurant sits back a little from the main road & thank goodness they have their own parking! An absolute savor in Cleveland's little Italy. This is a place where you definitely want to take your time and savor. The service was excellent and the menu was just the right size, giving you options but not overwhelming. We started with the calamari and some fresh baked bread, which was perfect for sopping up the remaining sauce. I had the veal tortellini which was so creamy and delicious it reminded me a little of a elevated mac & cheese (REALLY elevated). The Pappardelle was delicious as well, the homemade noodles shined through. Be sure to cleanse your palate with the lemoncello cake, it is so light & refreshing.

We were in Cleveland on business and a local colleague recommended we come for dinner. We didn't have a reservation and they were booked but they were happy to accommodate us. I had the mushroom risotto and it was really tasty and had great balance. The portions were substantial and we're perfect as it was our only meal of the day. My colleague had the lobster and shrimp ravioli. The shrimp was over cooked regardless it was a nice dish. We finished by splitting the lemon raspberry gelato which was really refreshing and a nice finish to our meal. Our main server was a bit sleepy but the support staff kept him moving. Nice atmosphere. Good food. Solid choice

Best homemade pasta I've had in Cleveland. Forgot to get a photo of the ricotta and black truffle stuffed pasta because we ate it too fast -- too die for. The creamy sauce to the crafted shell was perfect. I recommend getting a half pasta as an app. Lovely outdoor seating on their patio which gave way for a quiet environment. Finished the night off with cannolis, mixed berry gelato and the mousse (big portion).

Skate wing picatta special over red skin roasted potatoes and grilled asparagus. So good.

We made reservations for 7:30 and arrived right on time. We were seated and ordered cocktails which arrived in a timely fashion. At 7:45 the waiter asked us if we were ready to order. We had just gotten our drinks so we replied that we'd like to have a drink first. He replied with "well the kitchen will be closing soon." This was surprising to us since the hours posted had closing time at 9:30. We asked for more time and felt exceedingly rushed. We ended up ordering way sooner than we wanted and felt like we were being thrown out. If you want to close up early, don't allow reservations past a certain time.

I'm not truffle connoisseur, but decided to try something new. Based on our conversation with the chef who approached our table after dinner, he was dreaming of hosting this dinner forever. There was always something that came in the way until this decadent evening. I'll share my experience from the special dinner. AMBIENCE: Palazzo is like a gallery meets fine Italian restaurant. There are plenty sculptures including Michelangelo's David replica. Paintings of ballerinas reminding me of Degas. Walls of wine bottles, predominance of stone accents, and a small vase fountain transport you to Italy. Touches like backlights and wine bottle walls make the atmosphere romantic. The restaurant has multiple dining room spaces. There is also a wooden bar. There is also a covered patio. During our visit the restaurant was extremely crammed. The dinner was sold out. Tables were so close together that it was challenging to navigate between them. Guests had to move their tables to let someone pass through - other patrons or staff. I did not feel comfortable with these seating arrangements. The restaurant was very extremely loud. I couldn't sit comfortably without bumping my chair into other guests. I'm not sure how the dining layout looks like during regular days. Hopefully there is more room at the restaurant. The bathroom is in the basement, so not ADA accessible. The ceiling in the bathroom was awkwardly low. FOOD: Our dinner was 6 course experience for $125 (no tax, no gratuity, and no drinks included). First course (Antipasto) was Pera Sacchetti - Pasta Pillows, Pear, Formaggio,Truffle Cream Sauce, Fig Balsamic. Second course (Insalata) was Arugula - Black Truffle Oil & Shaved Parmesan. Third course (La Pasta) was Cheese Tortelloni & Sea Scallops - Shaved Fresh Truffle, Butter, Garlic. Fourth course was (Pesce Pan Seared Halibut) Black Truffle Cream Sauce & Roasted Rainbow Carrots. Fifth course (Mare e Monti) was Grilled Filet Mignon Medallion & Petite Butter Poached Lobster Tail Truffle Butter & Cauliflower Purée. Sixth course (Dolce) was Truffle Cream Filled Cannoli. Every course featured generous amount truffles and was very well crafted. I loved Mare e Monti, filet mignon and lobster were well prepared. While the courses were pretty petite, the dinner was filling. Considering the dinner menu, it was good value. Beyond the dinner, my friends really enjoyed wines. I ordered Prickly Pear mocktail ($10). It was okay, but not really flavorful. It was too ginger beer forward. It was pleasant to seem multiple mocktail options. SERVICE: It was wonderful that the chef personally greeted every table. I enjoyed learning about his story. It was a nice touch for him to speak with the guests. The rest of the service was average. The hostess was not very pleasant which set a bad first impression. Our waiter was fantastic but awkward. He kept taking away wine glasses and bringing back the same glasses. There was a lot of confusion with drink orders, and the wrong bill included the wine. Perhaps this was due to handling a large crowd. EVENTS: The restaurant is planning other upcoming events. For instance, Lenten dinner ($55) on Wednesday and Friday (February 18-April 2). PARKING: The restaurant has a very small parking lot with an incline. Arrive very early if you want to secure a spot. There is really no street parking nearby. You can park at the RTA bus station across the street. Parking experience is inconvenient. I'm conflicted on how to rate this restaurant. I enjoyed dinner, presentation, mood, and personal chef approach. I didn't like the table arrangements, service, and parking. If the service was warmer and less rushed, I would be all about this restaurant.
