Michael's Diner isn't really the second coming of Jesus- but when a lot of restaurant kitchens close at about 9:30-10pm on a Saturday in Woodstock for crying out loud and only serve drinks and beer, this was doable for an almost 11pm desperate nosh. And the fact these folks close at 3am, this was a straight up winner. Nestled among strip mall after strip mall paradise in Kingston, NY, Michael's has all your Greek Diner basics with two, down-to-earth/as pleasant as they can get servers who are running a tight ship. The space is large. Has all these multi-color Christmasy lights and green ones towards the back. This to me said Tarantino's 'From Dusk Til Dawn'- without the gore and topples dancing. But let me bend your ears a little though- I get it- no one wants to see a hair on their food. But like someone wrote, "stick to diner basics". Just don't get fancy and shit with your requests. Hubs thoroughly enjoyed his waffle topped with fresh strawberries+blueberries and none of that red glob mess you see elsewhere. My buttered toast+egg sandwich was simple but satisfying. Hash browns are baconless here and I was digging it. All they needed was salt to make them pop with the already subtle seasoning they had. My girl Olivia delivered great service and was a hoot. And she was honest when she told me my Vanilla Egg Cream order was the second she's done that Saturday. She did good...with some coaching. And the music? A hot mix of R&B and some recent pop. The first 2 reviews here are indeed correct about my girl working here. She LITERALLY takes the time to tell you, "I'll be with you soon"- and trust that. She's a talker- but won't chew your ear off. So forget everything you know and hate about Michael's. The game just changed. Olivia our server- deserves an Oscar, Emmy and any worthy award out there.

Their regular diner food is decent, but we love the Greek specialties--especially the moussaka. The owner is a sweetheart.

A little quaint gem (a bit eclectic) that serves comfort foods in a friendly atmosphere…read more Their menu consists of various chicken sandwiches (fried, grilled or cauliflower), burgers, all day breakfast, soups and salads. We enjoyed the Figgy chicken sandwich (fig jam, plentiful greens, cheese and chicken, bun could have been better quality) with salad (pretty fresh), and the Caesar chicken sandwich with fries. The server (owner?) was very friendly and explained the menu, saying specifically that the chicken sandwiches are made to order. There were only two other occupied tables on a Saturday afternoon and the food took a little while to come out (not very bad but not super fast). It also seems like a place that should be crowded but wasn't. Coffee was self service. They also had a pumpkin pie in a plastic container (didn't look homemade) in the front. There's a little children's play area in the back. And the unisex bathroom was very large. It's located on a street with lots of shops and other eateries (pizza etc).

Our waitress was very nice, really chill, checked in once but if we had flagged her over I'm sure she would have been attentive more but we just didn't need anything. We ordered two different versions of their chicken sandwiches and they both were amazing! I ordered the club and substituted out for the Big Mac sauce, it was ridiculously delicious! The owner/chef I believe came over after our food was served which was really nice to check in and offered some future suggestions that we'll be sure to take her up on. The food was cooked to order, super fresh and a lot of details that made it a perfect bite! Cute place with a variety of seating options, the old brick work pops through in some places which adds a really nice historic charm to the place. We'll definitely be back to give a few more menu items a try!

This whole time, I really thought this place was inside a cozy hotel about 2 blocks over. Guess you learn something new every day. We pulled up on a Thurs. around 4 with no res. and got seated real quick. Restaurant K. is airy, chic and gives a relaxed vibe. The menu is on the smaller side, but honestly, there's something for every eating style. We kept things light instead of diving into something heavy. Our spring greens salad was really good: hefty mound of mixed greens, lima beans, string beans and a hint of dill to make everything pop. Hubs had the double-stacked burger with white cheddar on a potato bun and loved it. I had high hopes for the hush puppies because they sounded amazing on paper- but they were doughy than corny and threw me off. Then came dessert. Again- sounded great on paper. It kinda feels like desserts get a "reinvented" treatment here(?). For instance, the strawberry shortcake was deconstructed: a few chunks of white cake, some diced strawberries and whipped cream. Totally unexpected. I ordered the 'Fun-Fetti Dunkaroos' with madeleines because they caught my eye, but they're smaller than standard. The food isn't bad at all. We were just caught off guard by how some of our selections were prepped. What really saved the evening were the cocktails. They were beautifully made and had a lot of strength. No watered-down nonsense here! Plus, our server Karina(?) was super sweet. I asked if I could try the passion fruit purée to see if it was the real deal for one of the cocktails I ordered and she brought me a little sample. Passed the test!

Our trusty Yelp app led us to this historic building and restaurant. I'm really glad we came to see some truly great architecture and learn some cool history of life before these United States. Even though the British tried to burn it down during the Revolutionary War, the family restored it to previous glory and it remained in their possession for over 200 more years! Now let's talk about the restaurant experience.... We were seated immediately and given a choice of indoor or covered outdoor seating. Laura came to get a drink order and offered some kids specials. She also put in our daughter's order right away so that she would be occupied and well fed. A chicken quesadilla with fries won her over and filled her up nicely. A bowl of New England clam chowder to start for me followed by a delicious Mushroom Omelette special. So fresh and tasty. The Mad Ukrainian ( formally MR or Mad Russian until the war broke out) had a delicious Reuben Sandwich with fries and a Garden Salad. After the salad and a half sandwich, she decided to save some room for dessert at another place nearby. Pair that up with a couple of local Beers and some soft drinks and coffee and we had an enjoyable lunch. Pricing is excellent compared to home prices and we ate with leftovers, drank, and got a historical glimpse back in time for less than $70. Home run in my book!

It's located on such a charming street, and stepping inside felt like walking into an elevated Barnes & Noble straight out of a Harry Potter movie. There are endless shelves of books across every genre, cozy seating throughout, and the perfect atmosphere to spend hours browsing or reading. The coffee was just as wonderful as the space. I wasn't sure what to order, so the barista recommended a drink and was incredibly accommodating with my many requests. I can't have too much milk or syrup, so I basically gave them a complicated custom order, and they made it exactly to my liking without hesitation. I also ended up buying one of the chocolate bars they had at the counter and turns out it was $20!!!! As a tourist, I had no idea it was a well known local chocolate brand with a factory nearby, so that was a fun surprise. This is the kind of place that makes you want to slow down. I'd love to come back, grab a coffee, spend the entire afternoon reading, and just soak in the comforting smell of books and fresh coffee. Such a cozy, magical spot that's well worth visiting!
