For a diner, we felt Kings Valley did what it needed! For apps we had mozz sticks and spinach artichoke and while the mozzarella sticks were fairly standard we really loved the spinach artichoke dip which tasted fresh and flavorful and not too heavy or greasy! The chicken and waffles was a huuuuge portion for a really decent price and had rave reviews. The wraps were yummy though the buffalo chicken wrap was much more blue cheese than buffalo. The pesto panini was delish! Curly fries and sweet potato fries were both delicious too. Nothing missed so for a diner that's pretty good! Without a favorite diner in the area yet I'd say we will keep heading back to Kings Valley for now

Best diner in Ulster county. Amazing Greek, family style favorites of a generation ago. Great prices, friendly service. Voted Best Eggs Benedict in my state

Veggie omlette, side of bacon. Disco fries. Iced coffee.

Classic diner, perfect for the whole family. This is a hit for hungover Sundays, quick dinners, and even takeout! If you're craving something specific, chances are they may have it! An extensive classic diner menu, plus Greek favorites, breakfast specials, and more. Coffee was not the best but we were satisfied for our Memorial Day brunch. Waitress was sweet and attentive- food came out fast and they were super busy.

b.overly_delicious @kings_valley_diner Kingston, NY: Everyone has the one diner they grew up with. The one they spent late hours sipping coffee and smoking cigarettes in until the morning sunrise. For me that was the Barclay Heights diner, but for my kingston friends it was Michael's. Kings Valley wasn't on my radar (KVD for short) but maybe that's because it was called Texas Lunch until 2001. I was already mostly done with my late night cheese fries and gravy faze by the time it changed names. Some people swear by KVD, but I never had a reason to change my spot. I found myself here over Christmas break and was pleasantly surprised. Pierogis with bacon (I'd say lardons) and fried brussels with honey sirachi and chipotle mayo were passed around the table. Steak salad looked spectacular and my burger was exactly as expected. Everything was delicious. We had a much better experience than the last time I was at EverReady. They were totally packed. I would definitely recommend. #kingston #diner #kvd #kingsvalleydiner #burger #pierogi #brussels #steak #hveats #igeats #hvfoodies #ulster #hudsonvalley #dinerfood #eater #nyeats #ulstereateriesunfiltered @above_weddings

Our diner of choice in Kingston--great for breakfast. After several visits of experimentation, I've settled on their spinach and feta omelette with fries. Cooked light, not too wet, and not too crunchy. Their strawbanella waffle (strawberries, bananas, Nutella) is also pretty great but way too much sugar. I haven't ventured too far into their after-breakfast menu, but if it's like their breakfast menu I'm sure it's okay.

The service was very quick . We got our food in less than 10 min ! Our food was warm , good , and delicious. The dinner looks a little old school but overall it was amazing !

This is just the front side of their menu!

Stopped here before heading back to CT on a dreary Sunday afternoon. I must say it was one of the sunny spots of the day. Arriving at 2pm we had no wait. We were presented with a typical huge, 2-sided diner style menu, which had everything you'd expect, but also a nice selection of signature salads and sandwiches. I chose a cup of chili and their take on a Cobb salad, which was laid on a bed of baby spinach, and included an entire grilled chicken breast. The chili was just OK, and was probably made with more convenience than scratch items. The Cobb salad was a delight, and included their House dressing, a tangy, lemony creamy Italian. Our server was a definite pro, taking our entire party of 6's order without writing anything down, and didn't miss a thing, a detail, or a special request...and in our group, there were several! Thanks Kings Valle, we'll be back!

The decor, from the booths to the lampshades, seem like they haven't changed in decades and are in excellent condition. The tables have tops that have obviously been replaced at some point, as they aren't the expected laminate, but otherwise it's like going back in time. We were looking for a traditional breakfast place open on a weekday (rather than a bagel shop or a place that only sells breakfast sandwiches), and this fit the bill. Service was efficient and attentive. They have a large array of menu items, but we both chose to get the breakfast burrito, without the meat. There was a bit too much potato inside for our taste, but others may prefer it that way. The side of salsa that came with it was delicious and made up for any lack of seasoning when we removed the salty meat. We would return when looking for a traditional diner with a large variety of choices.

I had the manager come over and an old lady came and I told her my pork was hard as a rock and I was showing her with the fork and she had the nerve to say "Well we have to cook it" And basically walked away! It's definitely gone down hill-sad because I've been going there for many-many years!! Andy u should talk to your managers!! Not cool! First time they didn't hand us the bill- the brought it up to the register smh -

I felt like breakfast, so I had the Tuscan omelette. Portobello mushrooms, and roasted red pepper, with mozzarella cheese. It also had Home fries, and I had rye toast. Everything was good. The omelette was tender, I love, portobello mushrooms, and while I don't care for green bell pepper, I really do like red pepper The fact that it was roasted gave it more of a deep flavor. There was a good amount of mozzarella, but not so much that it overtook the rest of the ingredients. Everything played very well with each other. The potatoes were perfectly done, as was the toast. It was not overdone, like some can be. I ended up taking some of my breakfast with me, and then I also ordered an order of the bread pudding to go. Bread pudding is a diner, staple, and they do it very good here. It was tender, the custard was good, just a fantastic bread pudding overall. As of March 2025, there was a very minimal "egg surcharge", very understandable, and there is also a small surcharge if you choose to pay with anything other than cash. They don't try to hide it, they clearly post both of these surcharges. Even with all of that, the price was still very reasonable. I want to come back and try more things. Thank you.

The moment I stepped foot in the diner, I was instantly enveloped in a nostalgic and cozy atmosphere. It was full of charm with all the decorations. Definitely what you would picture in those classic movies/shows. Food was 10/10!! I ordered the buttermilk pancakes which is what they are most famous for and for good reason too! Fluffy and light and amazing portions (5 big pancakes with mixed berries)! The pancakes were so good that we bought a bag of pancake mix to take home. My sister ordered the eggs any way and she loved everything that came with it: eggs, choice of bacon or sausage, potatoes, and toast. Everything on the menu looked absolutely delicious and it was hard to decide what to order. They have weekly specials as well. Our waitress Susie was an absolute sweetheart and made our entire experience memorable. That being that we had asked her for some more water and by the time she came back around, someone else had already stopped by and filled up our glasses. She apologized for the delay by giving us a free chocolate chip cookie and it was the best damn cookie I've had in a long time. She went above and beyond for something that wasn't a big deal, but we appreciated the thought. I'd definitely come back here if I'm near the area.
