Horrible experience would have given no stars but it wasn't available. I needed to go the bathroom and when getting to the bathroom . I hear toilet flush and associate walks out drying her hands . Tells me to go to Aldi to pee . Aldi is closing within minutes . I can't make it. I walked through the plaza tried four stores 3 were closing and couldn't get in and the other is a shoe store . So needless say pregant or child still wouldn't got to pee . I look at my poor kid said mommy is going to hurry check out and go to chick fli . My kidneys about burst and water weight . There are no restrooms available!!!. This makes no sense since the demographic shopping there seemed to be women of a certain age. I did buy what I needed but would have lingered if I had been able to use the restroom. read more

Searching for framing items to find the just right look for my Fun vacation prints for the family room fun wall, And I came to the best place, Without a doubt the best personal friendly service and knowledgeable staffer I could ever expect. So many framing options was a little dizzy yet with the help I found the right items. Now I planned on arranging several pics myself in the frames but wasn't sure how to make it work. Than Wallah !!! They put the 3 different frames arranged them for my for a very nominal fee. Happiness!!! In two days as promised my colleges with picked up and found a happy wall pace for all to enjoy. I just went to my local Michaels and saw that all the checkouts are now self checkouts. As I was leaving, I saw a sign that said "new lower prices." I'd much rather have the same prices with real people behind the registers. Does this mean people lost their jobs? It really frustrates and disappoints me. I refuse to shop at Hobby lobby but now I don't think I'll be a Michaels customer either. read more

Carly in framing is amazing and should be given a raise!! The framing and art section is phenomenal and Carly was so awesome at getting what we needed during their spring Black Friday sale for continuing customers! I will be back every time to do any framing at this Michael's because of Carly! Everyone at this store is always kind and helpful so it leaves you warm and fuzzy and willing to return. I definitely enjoy popping in when there's a great sale to see if there's anything I'd like to get for future use. This Michael's is a new store but a bit smaller compared to most of the others. They didn't waste any space with the layout as it seems they offer the same stuff as the bigger Michael's stores. Well organized, clean and always tidy makes the smaller store work. Employees are always nice and know where something is if you can't find it. Now a days that's a HUGE plus!!!! If you want a picture professionally framed they offer that along with various craft classes as well. read more

Staff member Lindsee was very rude. As i was walking around the store Lindsee and another worker i did not get the name of were complaining about how they were so bored and had nothing to do at work which my first thought was must be nice to get paid to do nothing but they were very slow the time i was in . Shortly after i was ready to check out and theres a line (theres your work) they had new self checkouts which i was using also my first time using i hardly ever come to micheals and one of my threads didnt have a tag so the very nice and paitent cashier offered to grab me a new one, ive worked in retail never at micheals but that has always been appreciated to help the customers when they have a problem but again i dont know the policy. I never wouldve thought it was looked down upon. Maybe 10 seconds after the cashier left Lindsee is talking very loudly about how she cannot believe she would leave the register and is pacing around going on and on keep in mind im standing right infront of her at the self check out and Lindsee never said a word to me. If Lindsee EVER wouldve acknowledged me i wouldve told her she is running to get me a thread with a tag. When the cashier came back with the thread i assured her i had no intention of getting her in trouble i didnt know she wasnt allowed to leave. I mean really? for helping a customer ? At this point Lindsee in SITTING in the window and still had not said a word to me. How is is inappropriate to help a customer but appropriate to ignore them? What if i had an issue would i just be screwed until someone else came along? I honestly think it shows how poorly you treat your customers and coworkers especially behind their backs! but to the amazing cashier i had i did not get your name but they had glasses and bangs you were so kind and thoughtful i appreciate you and i hope that was just a bad day and that Lindsee or anyone doesnt treat you like that regularly. Lindsee you have failed at customer service and also failed at being a decent human being. read more

I have started participating in the Kindness Rocks project (decorating rocks and hiding just to bring happiness to others) and find Michaels a perfect place to purchase my needs for this! I prefer this store to that of its competitor because I am not distracted by home decor and can simply concentrate on getting the hobby/art supplies I came for. The store is clean, well organized, items are stocked, and the staff are helpful. I love having the option to use a coupon (40% off one reg priced items on website most times) which saves a ton of $. this is a nice little place here in Okolona right over there next to the BW3 and has all the artsy crafts stuff that you would like to do if your building things with your kids or little models or home decor I like this place I don't personally shop here that often but my wife and really likes to go here and buy stuff and make little arts and crafts for the girls so it's a nice little establishment I'm very glad they're building Okolona up and making all these new places to attract people and clean up the area read more

Please do not believe these "4-star" reviews. These are either relatives of employees or people paid to write these reviews. Michael's is a joke. I called the day before to make sure I can set an appointment at this store for framing. Carol in framing discouraged me from using the online system that Michael's offers to make the appointments. She told me she will be in at 11 am and to come after 11 am and "someone in framing" will help me. So, I arrive and there are two people ahead of me at 11:15 am, waiting for ANYONE to show up at framing. The manager lady showed up at 11:20 am with lots of apologies--something Michael's staff has good practice at-- and said she could take the framing order because Carol won't be in until later. Keep in mind this is a business that prides itself on custom framing. The manager lady of course had no idea what she was doing with framing. One person ahead of me gave up and left. Another one, with just one order, was there with her for a long, long, time and I finally gave up and left. Spare yourself the hassle. Shop at Amazon. Yes, like you I prefer to buy locally, but I don't have hours to waste in my day relying on false promises by Michael's staff. I'd gladly see this business go out of business. They deserve to lose their shirt to Amazon. read more
