This is my Michael's of choice and they almost always have everything I need. The staff is super helpful and cheery. Terrible customer service. The manager made my grandma cry. My family and I will make sure to no longer shop at this location. We'd rather make the 25/30min drive to Tyler St. just to avoid this location due to the poor customer service. My grandmother was a loyal customer to this location due to her volunteer work at Church. She is constantly buying new craft material to use for her sunday school classes. However, the past few times she has shopped at this location she has came home frustrated due to the lack of help and consideration from the employees. This time, she came home crying because the manager refused to open a register for her. My grandma is in her 70's and has a hard time navigating their newer self checkout system. The least this manager could have done was assist her by opening up a regular register, considering she is a regular at this location and is also elderly. They have opened registers for her before; leaving us the question as to why not this time? The unprofessionalism and borderline discrimination has costed them a regular and devoted customer. I love coming here when there are sales, I always check the clearance section for deals on crafts and art/school supplies for my little one. We came today and got a TON of clearanced craft kits for under $40. We also did a free kid's class where they made monster themed bookmarks and all the kids of different ages seemed to enjoy it, we'll definitely be coming back to future events. read more

Awful customer service. Older lady and middle aged women are super aggressive and rude. Went to return an item that I placed for online pick up. Had the receipt that I received at pick up and an online receipt and old lady said that not the receipt. I told her that's all I had. She was the. Magically able to process return with that receipt. All while making micro aggressions like " it's ok" "we can do it's fine". When finally able to make a return she says I'm getting store credit. I said why I have the receipt. She said it's not a physical receipt. Although everything was done online and I have an online receipt! She then brings in middle aged women to help and she's automatically annoyed and makes the return to the card and says you can call 1800 Michale's if you have an issue. It's their system. Thursday, Dec. 4 - I purchased $60 worth of merchandise and wanted to pay with cash. There are 5 self checkouts that only accept a card, and 1 self checkout using cash (or card). There was not an option to use a human cashier. There were two employees helping people with the self checkouts and dealing with returns. I waited about 20-minutes at least for the checkout that uses cash as payment. Finally, it was my turn to use the self checkout with cash. I scanned everything and then used a $100 bill to pay into the machine and it gave me my change. It did not give me a receipt. I waited for 40-minutes while one of employees messed around with the machine. For some reason, the machine was not showing the transaction. I told her that it's okay, I don't really need a receipt but she kept me waiting and waiting and waiting. I felt like a criminal. I believe her name was Mindy and I found her to be very rude. She was very busy and being pulled in many directions, but never was she nice to me or apologetic. The other employee was very nice and even followed me to the exit door to offer an apology. By the time my 1 hour check out ordeal was over (and I never did get a receipt), I was pretty rattled by my treatment. I will think twice before going into Michaels again, even though it's 5-minutes from my house. read more

The workers here are always so friendly and helpful. Although I sometimes have a hard time finding someone to help me find something (short staffed!) once I do they usually walk me right to where the items are. Unlike some stores where they just tell you where it is, here, someone is personable, and will actually help until u find exactly what you want. I'm a huge crafter and I feel like I get into different types of art projects on a monthly basis and Michaels always enables me with all my projects. Always check online for coupons, sign up for the coupons in your email for points and vouchers, and make sure your friends do too! Me and my friends always share coupons in case we aren't able to use our 40% before it's expiration date!! It helps a great deal especially now that I just got into jewelry and crocheting. I have so much more to buy! Location is great too, I chose Kumon across the parking lot simply so I can go to Michaels guaranteed twice a week while I wait for my little one in Kumon. read more

The bad I waited over 10 minutes after calling and being assured someone would be right out to having to call in again... only to hear that my order was within view , but someone had forgotten to take it out. Eventually an employee that sits by the entrance brought me my order .Also the instructions on the curbside sign are confusing.It said to check your email for a link to let them know you are there. A month ago December 16th 2023 to be exact I went in to do a ribbon exchange just a different color from one I recently purchased. I had my receipt and I waited to be helped and when I approached the counter the young lady started ringing me up I told her wait those are my ribbons I already purchased I wanted to do an exchange she said "we don't do that here" I said what do you mean? She kept saying we just don't and I thought that was a bit strange but I said oh ok never mind then. And she proceeded with saying condescending stuff like I'm not sure where you shop that would do that, maybe when you shop at marshals they can just exchange stuff.. I walked away because she definitely wasn't trying to help but did want to speak to a manager but no other employee was around to help kinda the normal there. They have a clicker and count how many are there. I went right when they opened so I didn't have to wait in line to enter. All their usual supplies in stock. I was there for painting things. I had a 20% coupon in my Michaels app. I found acrylics to paint glass, wood, or multi surfaces and the spray coating to seal it. Friendly cashier ladies and everyone kept to their aisle or waited. I placed an online order for store pickup at this location. I got an email saying my order was picked up, when I DID NOT pick it up. I called the store multiple times for two days and no one ever picked up the phone. It just rings and rings, then hangs up. I called Michaels corporate and they too had trouble getting through until they were able to speak with the manager who said I picked up the order, which I DID NOT PICK IT UP! Luckily corporate made it right, but this store is a sketchy store to order from. read more

Luckily for me, this was not the day for that. I was looking for the perfect display stand for a retiring friend/colleague and found it on Michael's website. 1 Star Is for the clerk who sincerely felt bad that the store managers didn't handle themselves in a professional manner. I went to the store with my daughter to buy art supplies for a project she is working on. While there we browsed down the CLEARANCE isle which we do quite often. In sorting through things there was a set of markers hanging with a bright green sticker on it price marked $7.00. At checkout, the markers rang up $74.99 when the clerk called for a price over ride the store assistant manager -Anissa came up collected the markers and went to "check" something. After waiting for 15 minutes the clerk helping me called over the radio to see if she was coming back. When she returned she informed me that she unfortunately couldn't sell me the markers for the price as marked. I told her that it was unacceptable. I could understand if it was on the wrong shelf or out in the wrong place but that this item was clearly marked for $7.00. I asked to speak to someone above her. Anissa called over the radio to talk to Heidi who by the way never disclosed who she was but I can only assume she was above Anissa. Anissa again took the markers and disappeared for another 30 minutes while I waited. After becoming very upset that I'm still standing there, the clerk walked away left me standing there, no one communicated to me what was happening. I finally spoke up and asked for my markers so I could check out. Anissa and Heidi appeared and said unfortunately I can not sell you these markers for the price as marked. I again told them that it was unacceptable to mark something and not sell it to me for the price as marked that it was not my mistake and I thought they should honor it. Anissa told me that stuff gets mid-marked all the time but if it's not in their "list" of mark downs they can't sell it to me. I again assured them I got it on the clearance aisle and that it was the last one. Anissa then Accused me of changing the price sticker. Clearly it had other mark down stickers below it and it had not been torn up so to assume I changed the price was absolutely outrageous. I told them there was a store clerk in the aisle I picked them up on and Heidi quickly jumped in to say well she doesn't have a price gun. I said I didn't say she did but she was standing there where I picked them up. So after being made to stand there for over 40 minutes and not communicated to, being accused of telling a lie about changing the price myself, being treated poorly by store management I will be calling cooperate tomorrow. While I was waiting a gentleman was trying to purchase something else and questioned the price and the clerk said oh it's the other ones and he said well it was in that Bin and they honored the price because the clerk openly admitted he physically SAW them in the wrong bin?! NOT OK! I spend a lot of money in Michaels and I do have options. Sad that two managers have such poor communication skills and think it's appropriate to make a customer wait 40 minutes and then accuse them of changing prices and openly admit they get things marked wrong all the time. read more

After walking through the very poorly sticked store i picked a large grouping of stems to make an arrangement. After the usual long line she rang up the order and hands me the receipt and tells me one stem wouldnt ring so she couldnt sell it. Customer service and employee training are seriously lacking at this store. I tried to return a damaged frame for an identical undamaged frame. The male employee greeted me and asked me to leave the damaged frame with him and find an undamaged frame. As I was looking for the frame, he told me he was taking a break but the new person was aware of my situation. I found the frame took it to the front counter were the new sales associate who seemed aware of the situation. I thought she was starting the return process but then told me the undamaged exact same frame was 17$ more and proceeded to charge me the 17$. I informed her that I just wanted to exchange for the same identical frame. She told me that she couldn't do that and I then asked for a manager. The manager and another associate arrived, I told the manager I just wanted an exchange , she proceeded to tell me since the the associate already refunded the money I would have have to purchase the frame at its current price. I said this is ridiculous I just wanted to exchange the frame. That is when another associate who had nothing to do with the transaction made the comment that I didn't need to be rude. My comment was "I am not the one being rude" and she shot back with " I can be rude to you if you are rude to me", as she was walking away. I then told the manager that was uncalled for and the manager said " you can call 1-800- Michaels. I repurchased the frame and left. Michaels has now lost me as a customer. read more

I can deal with the fact that this a smaller Michaels with less products than others (i.e.; South Corona) but only having ONE register open at any given time is too much. I can't say enough incredible things about the framing dept!!!! I brought in a very special painting I was going to present to my Mom for her upcoming birthday. Not only was the staff incredibly helpful with picking the perfect frame they were able to expedite my order. The first frame that was delivered to the store was damaged. The staff contacted me right away and they worked overtime to get a new frame in and on my painting just in time The staff is extremely professional and helpful!!! 3 strikes and you are out! This is the third time I have gone to purchase some thing and waited in a very long line. After waiting in an extremely long line, when I go to pay I am told the item has a different price. This time I went to purchase a frame that said was 7.99. When I got to the cashier she told me it was 10.99. I then tried to use my 20% off coupon on a regular priced item. The cashier said I would not be able to use it because the item was already on sale. The item was not on sale. It's what they call a every day low priced item. Coupons are not allowed to be used on every day low price items. So after waiting in the long lines you then get to the front and realize that the item you're trying to buy will not allow a coupon to be used. The problem with this is I would not be buying these items if they didn't have a coupon price. I did ask to speak to the manager and she honored her price. The cashiers were friendly the manager was nice, but I am over this runaround that the store gives me. They need to mark the prices accurately and mark which items are not available to be accompanied with a coupon. read more
